There you go, added three extra lines to it
The call of the open roads and freedom we felt as a kid, riding anything with two wheels attached to it,
away from the shackles put on us or ones we put on ourselves in adulthood, day in and out, doing the needful.
It was probably important to not necessarily be strong but to feel strong, to measure ourselves at least once,
Keep riding, leave your anger, confusion, sadness and worries on the road and return home, tired, hungry and peaceful.

I couldn't agree more with the sentiment behind that line. It's all about taking action and experiencing the joy of riding your bike. Speaking of which, have you heard about the new project I found? It's called the Morph eBike by freebeat, and it's truly a game-changer. Not only does it offer an exhilarating riding experience with its powerful motor and impressive suspension, but it also has a unique indoor recharge feature. This means you can keep the energy flowing even when you're riding indoors. How awesome is that? Can't wait to get my hands on one! Keep pedaling and enjoying your rides, my friend! 🚴‍♂️

Just turned 87 this September. Been riding forever. A lifetime sport. Just traded my Lemond Zurich for a rather expensive Specialized eBike. Bought this for an expected move to a home up a long, steep hill in Washington state. That changed, but here in Tucson, Arizona I ride this one daily for 90 minutes up and down a local highway. Traffic zooms by at 65 mph, but you have to just accept it as part of the game. After my Dutch wife died, I traveled to Holland and rented a bike at a local bike shop. Rode that bike all over that great country. A very bicycle friendly country. Fietspads everywhere.

That is so true. I'm just a casual commuting utilitarian cyclist in rural Ireland but it's great to get out on my pretty basic Merida hybrid covered in racks and bags and mirrors and lights and all sorts of accessories that make it uniquely and wonderfully my own and do whatever I have to do instead of taking the car.
Put one of my three trailers on and do the weekly household shopping, take the lawnmower in for a service, pick up 50 litres of tractor diesel.
But as I'm getting older and had some coronary issues recently and developing arthritis in both knees and a hip I'm not going to apologise when I either add an electric conversion or/and get a full e-bike. Even without those reasons there's so much more I could do and further I could go with a little bit of "e"!
And I do also own and need a car.

Back then 35 years ago as a kid I rode my bike and enjoyed it - cause most of my freedom was my bike. I could strawl around, meet my friends and experience adventures. Then I got my driving license and forgot my bike. I drove an enduro motorcycle and afterwards a car. Now I'm over 40 years and got back to the beginning with an enduro mountain bike. And again I can strawl around, meet my friends and experience adventures. Hopefully my little son will ride with me someday as well.

From then on, I stopped wanting to drive. I go by bus and bike. Once covid hit, I didn't ride for the entirety of 2020 and 2021. I am getting back into it, and learning more about bikes in the process.
It's funny really, I have rode all my life, and yet you would be surprised at how much I don't know. I am learning so much. I feel like this is the lifestyle I want.

I miss living in Germany where I commuted with my bike no matter the weather. 45 minutes one way. Had a coworker/neighbor one day challenge me because I said it’s only a few minutes longer than with a car. He said he could beat me by fifteen minutes or more. He beat me by fourteen. He said if traffic had been better he would have won. I said even if he had, my mind was in a better place than his because I didn’t get stressed by traffic I enjoyed my ride! I miss that!

Just great... Particularly your current location... Tumut.... Grew up on a grazing property, about an hour away... Tumbarumba... Whole family, always bike mad.... Dad stopped riding at the age of 88.... I now reside in Tweed Heads.... Have not owned a car for over 12 years.... But, currently own 3 bikes, about to purchase another!!! So, terrific movie, on so many levels... Rock on....

31 years old now and never really had money growing up, believe it or not I recently just bought a bicycle about 2 years ago, to this day, nothing beats the feeling of just going for a ride, even if you don’t have a route, just ride.

I've loved riding since I was 5 years old. I'm 60yo and I ride 10-20 miles every day, weather permitting. One of the greatest joys and pleasures in life! I have a 15+yo Gary Fisher mountain bike that fits me like a glove and is just an extension and expression of myself. I hope to keep it rolling forever! Beautiful little film! TY

Love it! Just ride! It's the best thing you can do as an old fart for your heart and health.....for your pocket book....for the environment. My commuter is an 80's rebuilt girls MTB. Nothing fancy, just an old bike nobody wanted that I added a little love and attention. Now it is my best friend.

Totally agree about just getting out and riding. Too many think they will be judged for the equipment they own. I have yet to meet a fellow rider who cares. They all just love to ride and enjoy others doing the same.

My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s two years ago. He has now left his teaching job and is opening a bike shop. He notices when he does not get enough exercise because his tremors are worse and he is more stiff. We are prioritizing exercise (and biking is a big part of it) as we grow older. It is essential.

Amen Brother! Amen! I'm getting ready to dig into my old '97 Schwinn Moab 2. Derailleurs (Shimano Rapid Fire, front and back) need a bit of finer tuning. Can imagine giving it over to a bike shop, so am doing the work myself. Believe at the most it's a cable change and an adjust. Oh, and for the record...I believe that he's living my dream! GIVE IT BACK! LOL!!!

What he says about being part of the machine is so true....I still love cycling . I have been on a team for two years, pro/am...raced even along side of Greg Lemond, in fla once...got pictures with him. Raced in ironman competitions for many years and now, i just might do a race in my age soon....lol Love this guy in the movie.... I know what hes talking about, cus i even owned a bicycle shop for 5 years in my early life ...

I love my midnight special! Same bike. Everything this guy is saying rings so true as having worked as mechanic. As an American traveling in the Netherlands experiencing their glorious infrastructure, I'm sad to see and hear that more and more people here are driving cars instead of riding bikes. Don't do that! Some are working hard to get more people on bikes in the US.
