Ive been wantimg to visit this place for so long. Josh and pops always give us exactluly what we been missing and makes us yearn to travel to these places. Thank you both
I live in the brick building next to the arc. I went to school in Brookings and fell in love with South Dakota (originally from Iowa). I travel for 4 months of the year so I see lots of other places, but I think Sioux Falls or Rapid City are my top 2 places to live right now (now that I've moved, I don't think I could give up 80 mph speed limits lol). I'm glad I scored an apartment downtown, because Sioux Falls is very Downtown-centered in terms of things to do. Everyone always asks what neighborhoods to check out when visiting the city, and the answer is always stay downtown, enjoy downtown, because it is by far the best we have. Glad to see a really good video of our city and how awesome it is!
@@coastskyadventures2752 varies by year, last year was cake, we only had one really cold spell where it didn’t get above zero for about 48 hours. Most years, it’s normal to have that happen two or three times. The amount of snow can vary. Not as much as Minnesota, but more than Rapid City, but obv less than the black hills. Only thing I noticed when moving up from Iowa besides moderately colder temps is how LONG winter lasts here. It’s not uncommon to see snow on the ground at the beginning of May in the northern half of the state, and we usually don’t green up until the last few days of May.
OMG. I missed so much on my trip through Sioux Falls. I swear never will I ever go on a trip again without consulting your vlog's first. Thanks to both of you for bringing our beautiful and unique country to us couch sitters.
Thank you for your video. I was born and raised in South Dakota and Sioux Falls was the last town I lived in before I got married. Made me all teary-eyed I loved it !! ❤
After a long workday, your video notifications always brighten things up and make my day better. Today has been especially tough, as many colleagues-some of whom I've worked closely with for over 5 years-were let go. Thank you for consistently sharing these videos; I always enjoy them, and seeing Pops adds an extra bit of joy.
I’ve been living in Sioux Falls for three years and you represented these highlights of the city beautifully. You even showed me a couple of new to me places to try. Great video, thanks!
Thanks for exploring Sioux Falls and taking us along! Lots of great things to see and do in the Midwest! Sculptures are cool. All museums SHOULD have staff favorites! That's a GREAT idea! Interesting lunch! You had a beautiful, Summer day! Thank oyu so much for taking us along and giving us your impressions.
Gawd dang - all I wanna say is I love this channel and the videos. They could all be 2 hours and I'd watch it all. I get a true feeling of enjoyment watching the videos and the relationship between you and pops. Most TH-cam videos are just entertainment but this channel I FEEL enjoyment. Great feeling watching your videos. Of course my favorite is out west with mountains and desert cause I'm bias to traveling that way lol I love nostalgic road trips and most of your life is living that dream. I'm glad you made this channel and these videos, always happy to see new content pop up.
Thank you so much for the kind words, really appreciate that. So cool that you can feel the enjoyment, we really do have a blast on these trips and I am glad it comes through in the content!
Thank you for the great exploration of my adopted city of Sioux Falls, SD. This place has EVERYTHING! You both were so much fun, I've decided to subscribe. 😊❤
I take off on a two MONTH road trip around the USA this weekend! Your channel has been an inspiration. Was debating whether to hit Sioux Falls. I think I will!
I loved visiting South Dakota but our visit was mostly the national parks and Custer State Park. Our next visit will include a day in Sioux Falls. Appreciate your videos.
I’ve seen Soyuz Falls in other videos but this is the best Josh and Pops! I loved the Falls Park withe huge Falls, the huge Arch of Dreams, theStatue of David and the wonderful views of South Dakota! I have to say culinary shots are the most provocative! I’m a diabetic and this morning I asked my husband to bring me a chocolate cookie from Panera Bread when he met a friend there! Now I have to take insulin!😫
This video was delightful, from Start to Finish. **It makes me want to go to Sioux Falls. There's so much to see, and do... and those falls are beautiful. Couple all of this with the diverse, and yummy eateries, and it's WIN, WIN, WIN... Thank you Josh, and Pops. EXCELLENT 🌞🎊👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks guys the "leap of faith" on the arc of dreams came at the perfect time to give me that little re-affirming nudge I needed to hear today, sometimes the universe aligns in inoccuaous ways!!!
This is too funny. We stopped right next door to that coffee shop at JL Beers for lunch a few years back. It was May 2nd and it'd just dumped 6" of snow right before we got there. 😂
This video makes me happy. Seeing other people experience what I see daily, and educating people on its history. Makes me happy that I live in Sioux Falls 🥰 (besides the constantly fluctuating weather that's starting to come 😅)
My first time in SD my last week was in Sioux Falls, now my residency address. Although I don't "live there" the priest was right, I fell in love with the state and every time I go back to Sioux Falls for residency "stuff", I see something new and always revisit Falls Park! City Hall Museum was fantastic, and I loved the commentary on Leap of Faith! Technically, Pop said he didn't remember eating one in Paris!
If anyone searching in the comments is looking to go to Sioux Falls, here is some of my favorite places since living here for 3 years! La Luna Café has the best waffles in the world, my favorite being the apple pie waffle. The best french toast I've ever had is at All Day Café, the burgers are also good! Concerts at the Levitt are great, and they're free, too! If you go during the 4th of July, the firework show at the fair grounds is amazing! Better than ones I've seen in big cities. Great video, I love the dynamic you two have!

OMG you are in the MidWest. Awesome. By the way, we watched your Alaska trip so many times and ended up going there. I must say your recommendations were spot on. And pops is the star of the show. Our entire family loves to watch your trips. 🙂
Hello TML! Love the way you keep these videos coming. They never disappoint. Thanks for taking me to places I’ve never been. I’m a coffee snob as well. I love a good light roast which has more caffeine☕️
I’ve been watching recently videos filmed in US, places like downtown LA, Philadelphia and NY.. some pretty damn depressing and sad views on how things are in the streets of major cities. This video is in stark contrast to what I’ve been seeing so far, in a very good way. If I ever visit US, Im more interested in checking out places like Sioux Falls than any of those drug infested & migrant invaded streets of major cities.
Wow! Who knew Sioux Falls had so much?? Fun, informative video, as always. The Arc of Dreams reminded me of seeing the Gateway Arch in St. Louis in August 1965 before it was completed. It had a small gap at the top just like the Arc of Dreams.
The best part of South Dakota is attending wacipis and eating frybread. Ok, so driving westward on 1-90 just east of the Mighty Mo at Chamberlain is one of the most amazing views on any interstate highway. Used to live on the Rock and loved going to Rock Creek and Eagle Butte (although some locals call it eagle butt, LOL!)
I do enjoy content like these, probably not one of those places I will be heading to but still can always appreciate traveling thru videos. Who knows maybe worth a detour if I ever go near this place.
The view of the falls from the tower was stunning. Fried bread looked great. I try to like macarons but I just can’t. :( They always look beautiful though.
Looks like a very cool town! Regarding 'David' - no replica comes close to the original ! I did not believe it myself until I visited the Galleria dell'Academia in Florence. Its captivating. Beyond expectations.
I absolutely LOVE Falls Park. My sister and I did a road trip from MN to SD, WY, and MT, almost a month ago, and I wrote this on my Facebook. Have you ever gone to a place over and over, and it never gets boring? That place for me is Falls Park in Sioux Falls, SD! I've been 4 times now, and it never gets old!
Wow, you two did a great job of highlighting Sioux Falls! There are so many cool things to see, especially the waterfalls in the middle of downtown. As always, your good natured banter makes for a fun video. By the way, didn't Pops win at PacMan?
Looks like a nice smaller city if driving through but looks hard to get to on the map unless you are doing an a cross country trip to Michigan or Minnesota. Thanks for sharing though as I don't think I have ever seen anything on this city and looks like it a has a little charm to spend 1 day in if near the area.
Totally random comment… I bought the hat that you (Josh) are wearing, and it was supposed to be for me. Well my son “stole” it from me, he said it was too cool for me 😂 Of course, you already know I love your videos, specially when you are having fun with Pops. Hello Pops!!! 🙌🏽
Souix Falls looks cool. I never understood that whole covering statues thing. As for their sculptures, it sounds a lot like Grand Rapid's (MI) ArtPrize.
"salted caramel" is not "most popular" it is "most trendy. three years ago." Sunset at a hole in the ground is generally a disappointing thing. The sun, when it's low... doesn't shine into the hole. See also Grand Canyon. There are times and orientations where it works but that generally boils down to "the side of the hole is missing"; possibly also "GC is really long and the Earth is a ball." Not also, come on, you're a photog, where you are standing to observe sunset... looking towards the sun. That means that everything between you and the sun (everything) you are looking at the shadow side of. Even if the sun is shining on something, you aren't looking at the sunny side.
Ive been wantimg to visit this place for so long. Josh and pops always give us exactluly what we been missing and makes us yearn to travel to these places. Thank you both

Those banters between you and pops are what make the show so unique and delicious. Take it easy on pops, though.
