For me, Lucali was a 10. And the calzone was a 12 😂. The wait experience was pretty terrible for us and I think that’s why he didn’t rate it. All four of us loved it though
I'm so hungry now and am only halfway thru this video😊. I'm going to forward this URL to my daughter in NY to ask which establishments she's been to. GREAT VID!!❤
I really enjoyed this. What a great, yummy contest to hold. I'm really hungry for pizza now. Josh, you and Clark have the same type of outgoing personality. It must be something in the genes. AWESOME 🎊🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🎊👏🏻👏🏻
Anthony Bourdain was my favorite travel type show of my life and im 50. Had to retire early from almost 30 yrs at Delta Airlines and accept disability thanks early onset severe rheumatoid arthritis. Theres nothing better than being able to fly for free in first class (IF its available) anywhere you want to in the world. I was always working and although i got to fly to a lot of places i rarely got to leave the actual airport except to and from the hotel that Delta put me up in. I looked forward to reaching a point to retire early and also use my free flight benefits to travel and actually see the world but the rheumatoid arthritis has made that impossible. 😢 I loved how Anthony Bourdain would tell the stories about the areas he would visit and show the local food options. You do this in a more soothing way. I loved him, he seemed a bit of a tortured soul for some reason but i wanted to enjoy watching it with my teenage sons but he could be quite vulgar at time. Your videos are all the info, great views, and info but clean, well spoken, soothing and NOT vulgar lol 😅 Thank you Thank you Thank you! Its obvious that pops raised you right. His sense of humor is a delight. ❤
I enjoyed this so much. Love pizza and never been to NY. Got to ask, did you sample all these pizza places in one day? Looked like you both were getting full .
John's is my favorite whenever I'm in NYC, but I like Joe's too! There's a place I've forgotten the name of that's across the street from Madison Square Garden where I love getting a slice before going to Rangers games when I'm there. It's not the best, but for the price of a slice and soda, it's great! The pizza in NYC best pizza anywhere else. And if you have NOT had NYC pizza, don't bother saying how great your pizza is, it doesn't matter. :)
I had a hard time rating it cause we had such a bad experience with over 3 hours of waiting but I have to say it was at least tied for number 1 if I had to give it a rating, it was sooo good
HEY JOSH HOW DID YOU FIT ALL THAT IN YOUR STOMACH ANYWAY LOMBARDIS COAL OVEN PIZZA USED TO BE RATED HIGHER BOY HAVE THINGS CHANGED GREAT VIDEO LARRY FROM LONG ISLAND
Never had NY pizza! I used to love Pizza Hut! Not thin crust more thick and chewy and a great mix of flavors! Can’t eat it now unfortanitly! I loved watching you guys eat it though!❤️😀🇺🇸🌏
You didn’t say that our favorite to leave in the comments has to be in NYC so I’ll post mine anyway. Big Bob’s Best Pizza in Oceanside CA! Second place is Brooklyn Brothers in Everett WA. 🍕
*** I wouldn't come to your conclusion so quickly, given the fact that New York City has well over 32,000 PIZZERIAS ‼️ I did a quick calculation on the length of time it would take one person to visit every one of NYC's 32,000 pizzeria's. Ready ?? IT WOULD TAKE 87 YEARS AND 67 DAYS ‼️‼️‼️ PS - While they did mention a Calzone, they didn't mention my favorite, the Stromboli.
I don't get it...I went to L'Industrie last spring, and while it was good, it wasn't anything particularly special or different. I got the exact same 2 slices you did (pepperoni and prosciutto/burrata) and was like, these are fine, and that's about it. Why does everyone love this place so much?
I hi Josh ! Glad you had a fun time tasting pizzas at different pizzerias. While. Watching you eat pizza . I suddenly had an urge for taking out pizza . Didn’t have time fir the chicken I was going to make , didn’t realize I needed to marinate the. Chicken for a few hrs . Oh Boy! I had the best excuse to get a pizza. Probably not as good as one from NY . But it was pizza . . Next time I go to iNYC . Im watching this video first ! Have a blessed day!! How’s California pizza ?
Lombardis looked to be the best visually. Try Tony's Brick Oven on Staten Island. Michigan based pizza companies: Little Ceasers, Dominos, BC, Hungry Howies, Jets, and if your visiting wine country try out Crusted Creations in Traverse City.
Lombardi’s was founded by Filippo Miloni around 1898, Lombardi owned it briefly in 1908 and then after other owners, it became Lombardi’s after 1918. Also, John’s was actually founded as Pizzeria Port ‘Alba in 1915 by Filippo Milone as well in its original location at 175 Sullivan St. It was taken over by John Sasso, who married Filippo’s niece. It moved to MacDougal Street and then finally to Bleecker Street where it is today.
I’ve been to NYC and Brooklyn many times. Always solid pizza. Probably my fav pizza here in Ventura CA is Toppers but their creamy garlic sauce cuz it’s not only yummy but easy on my tummy. Second is a new fav Tony’s pizza on the beach. There’s a reason it’s been there forever. Third is meridians, especially their Marguerita pizza. 🍕 I don’t remember the names of the spots in New York probably cuz they were all solid. Here in CA there are acceptable places but not all are the best ever pizzas like back east. Thanks for sharing your fav places
@@ThroughMyLens For me, that close relationship between father and son is so important, especially in my case, since I grew up without a father, only my mother, who raised me with four brothers in my country, the Dominican Republic, and every time I have the opportunity to see a father with his children in that unity, it fills my heart with great joy. That's why I asked. Thank you for your response.
Well, we can dismiss this video on the strength of the first sentence. It gets worse. Why is this pizza good? It was in a movie. And then it goes horrific. "I like the combination of sauce and melted cheese and peperoni and grease." You mean... you like pizza. You've just stated "this is good because it is pizza." That's NY pizza : "wait, this is weird... you can taste the herbs in the sauce." Do they still put out jars of oregano, cheese, and peppers because they know their pizza sucks? I don't care if my pizza tastes old. That's not a feature. Pizza is supposed to taste good. He may love pizza, but "good crust" is meaningless.
Thanks for having us, and so glad you got to try so many places. It's the best food ever!
Looks like you guys really had fun making this video, but, C'mon, you gotta throw a score out there for Lucali....
For me, Lucali was a 10. And the calzone was a 12 😂. The wait experience was pretty terrible for us and I think that’s why he didn’t rate it. All four of us loved it though

Wow this is a bucket list trip for me. Your stomach’s mustve been WRECKED after this !
This is really well done. Cool, neat, interesting, variety in pizza and atmospheres; all in a short video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Really appreciate the kind words
It’s the gift that keeps on giving all year long Clark
Hi Cuz!! Thank you Josh! I eagerly anticipate all your adventures

Makes me want to have a New York pizza tour after this video 😂😋
I had to stop watching the video right in the middle, because I was getting full just watching you two. Seriously, and it was making my stomach hurt.
Thank you for sharing, loving some cup pepperoni 🍕 ❤️🙏
What i learned. Everyhing is delicious and everyhing is a classic slice.
I feel so full after watching this and I haven't had one bite of pizza! 🍕

Yum yum yum! Heartburn deluxe, but worth it!
Love thin crust, Thanks for taking us on a pizza adventure ❤
Our pleasure!
Some of those made my mouth water, yum! I've never gone into the city, but all over the country the best I've had is Sante Fe NM and Chicago IL.
Looks good my friends. Authentic NY pizza 🍕
grimaldi's pizza in brooklyn wax my favourite pizza when I went
I don’t see a rating for Lucali’s? What did you both give it? I went there in September 2023 and that was the best pizza I had in New York.
I had a hard time rating it cause we had such a bad experience with over 3 hours of waiting but I have to say it was at least tied for number 1 if I had to give it a rating, it was sooo good
Shows how easy it is to make pizza
You don't judge a slice with pepperoni
Mama Too's is better known for the Sicilian style slices. The cacio e pepe slice is amazing!
"If there´s one thing New York does better than everyone else it´s pizza."
Neapolitans laughing in disbelief.
Patzeria pizza is the best ❤

10 spots in one day 😂 We got one deep dish in Chicago last week, it fed us for 2 days!!
I made one at home and it lasted me a week!
haha Deep dish is a different beast for sure!
NY is mind blowing.

Gota hit up Best Pizza in Williamsburg. Frank Pinello knows his stuff!
Next time in New York City: BEST Donuts
Please do a bagel and cheesecake tour of NYC!
❤❤❤awesome man please more food vids 🙏
Glad you liked it, thanks for the comment!
And now we want pizza 🍕 😊 It’s always thin, crunchy crust for us and lots of cheese; light on the sauce.
Heck yes!
2 hour wait to be seated for pizza is nuts.
🙌🙌 “ You forgot about Prince Street Pizza, 🍕 !!!!! 🙌🙌
They ate there.
And now I'm hungry 😁
What was the score for Lucali?
The one you guys missed was “Grimaldi’s Pizzeria,” which is a stones throw from Juliana’s
Next time!
Oh my I am getting hungry!
Bro u need to try Rossario’s in astoria
"You're killin' me, Smalls!!!" 3rd week of a 6 week no-carb regiment.
Also you and your cousin look more like brothers. 👍 😊
Everyone needs a very fun, ADHD cousin.😂
You have to sit down at John’s. Totally different experience
Wow😎
Wait, what do you rate Lucali?
For us here in Quebec, Canada those pizza would be rated a 3-4/10 at best😅 !! Our pizza's are like light years away from the pizza's in the US
“One bite, everybody knows the rules”
A good year

Damn, went to Industrie but didn't hit up Best right near by which is on the same level!
OMGOSH, I'm so missing NYC pies.. overnight shipping??😅
You and me both man!
My friend and I used to do late night $1 pizza crawls when I lived near NYC!
haha I wish!!

09:40 featuring Here be barr
Love your video, but I do believe Italy would have an issue with your opening statement.
Good selection of pizza spots to try. But the comparison should have been the basic cheese slice, not peperoni.
🍕 😋
👍🏻

@@ThroughMyLens Serves you right!
A true review is only sauce and cheese
I can never eat pizza again Haha! 🍕
haha it took a while before we wanted more lol
You gotta do a doughnut tour of NYC next. Some suggestions: Doughnut Plant, Doughnut Project, Donut Pub, DOUGH.
Oh man, I would love to!

Clark is cute 💘
pre-filled cannoli is shameful
Pepperoni? Seriously?
I thought Prince st tasted like digiorno. Yuck
somehow new york has the best pizza
It really does
Dead baby birds you see everywhere in the world, not just in NY, the poor thing fell out of it's nest. 😢
I was wondering if it would have been nice if you were to have taken your WIFE instead of a cousin for New York pizza.
Where is your dad?
He's got his own channel now.
Tons of videos coming up with him!
Maybe he wanted to spend some time with his boyfriend, and not his dad, for once. Did you ever consider that? 😂

Yayyyyyyyy see i was 1st comment LOL
Too bad the government sux there!

haha Deep dish is amazing but almost different then traditional pizza to me haha
@@ThroughMyLens true but planning a NYC to Seattle on Amtrak trip and seen your other video where u took train
