We went on a family vacation there in 2012. We took our grandma (grandpa had died two years prior) and I'm glad we did. She's 87 now and can't travel much anymore, so it was one of her last big trips.
You guys are the best
So awesome to hear that the video has helped with your trip planning! I hope you have the most fantastic trip ever!
We went to Niagara Falls in 2004. Bought a visitors coupon book and visited every attraction. Hiked all the islands. I hiked to Crows Nest and climbed to next stair before the Bridal Veil falls. JSo much fun. We spent 3 days. Wish we had gone to Canadian side as next year after a passport was required. More or less just reported to customs until 2005. Thanks for the memory. Unable to get back since.
So glad you have such good memories there. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Why can't you just get a Passport?
One of my very favorite trips with my family years ago. I need to do it again with my grandchildren.
Thank you for doing this vidoe of Niagara Falls, Ny and Canada. I was born and raised on the American side of the falls and even i found your video very informative. You did an awesome job. Safe Travels on your Journeys ahead. 🤗🎉
Awesome video! I was in Niagara Falls, right after covid. It was a ghost town with no crowds. A crazy time!
The Skylon has a nice sit-down revolving restaurant. Your restaurant visit includes admission to the observation deck on the top.
That brings back memories. The awesome power of the falls is staggering. I have to agree that the Canadian side of the falls is especially scenic, but both the American and Canadian are absolutely amazing. ***excellent coverage, as always, Josh
💧💧👏🏻🌊👏🏻💧💧🌞🎊
I am so glad you have seen it as well! Yea, the views are amazing everywhere there
Josh! Thank you so much once again. Love my Sundays waiting for the next adventure 👊🏽
Thanks so much for watching the videos each week!
Josh, I love going on vacation with you and your family, especially to the places I've been before. Please don't tell me you didn't at some point go back to the Skylon Tower and have dinner. I would imagine they probably wouldn't allow filming in the restaurant itself. It's so pretty looking over the Falls at night from there. The restaurant actually rotates, giving the most spectacular views of everything. Thanks for taking us along!
I didn't get a chance to have dinner there, I would love to go back and try it in the future though!
What an awesome adventure, love the falls Thanks for sharing Josh always a great one be safe
Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!
Beautiful I have been here one time, you can hear it, before you see it. A wonder of the world 🌎.
You really can! I am glad you got to see it as well
Amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing. I love to see people enjoying themselves, making great memories.
No problem, thank for watching and for the comment!
It has been 50 years since iI've been to Niagara Falls. From what I've seen from your video, a lot of changed since I've been there. I suppose I should go back again soon. Thanks for doing this video, Josh.
I bet it has changed a lot, glad you liked the video!
40 for me.
It really is beautiful. We live west of Toronto so have visited a number of times. We usually do the falls, then take the pretty drive to Niagara on the Lake. Lots of farm markets, wineries, shops, bike routes, forts and more.
I will have to check that out next time!
I've enjoyed every adventure you've shared. You do a great job as a guide for these little expeditions!
So kind of you to say, thanks for watching and for the comment!
Poutine! 😂 we’ve got to be known for something hey!!! Glad you enjoyed your stay on the Canadian side! We LOVED your series on Alaska! We followed in 2023 when we visited as well! This coming September: Niagara! Thanks for great videos :-)
Hey, what about Nanaimo Bars and Tortier???😁 I moved down to Utah 26 years ago, and if I want Poutine, Portiere, Nanaimo Bars or Pyrogies, I have to make them myself from scratch! AND whenever I go up to B.C. to visit my kids, Grandkids and siblings, I stock up on Smarties---the Canadian/British ones, not the American ones (what we call Rockets in Canada, they call Smarties in the U.S.)! Our Smarties, IMHO, are SUPERIOR to M & M's (and M & M's were an attempt at copying what British Soldiers were already enjoying during WW1).
Great video. I am so excited we are going to visit the Falls first week of October later this year. It'll be our first time visiting.
As far as I can tell, the only thing you missed was going to Marineland. The Dragon Mountain Rollercoaster is the best!
I used to lived north of Toronto, so I've been to Niagara Falls (Canadian side) several times. I really was impressed by the caves BEHIND the Falls! The one thing that you didn't mention was that even from behind the barrier, the power of the cascading water is so loud that its IMPOSSIBLE to conduct any conversation, unless you can do sign language!😁
I haven't been back for 40 years, though. I've been living in Utah for 26 years and lived in British Columbia, Canada (that's B.C. to the uninformed) for 3 years before that, after moving back to B.C. from Ontario in February '95.
I was an exchange student in Canada exactly 10 years ago, and Niagara Falls was der one of the highlights! Beautiful video Josh, as always 😍
The mist that rises from the base of the Falls while on the boat changes daily. There are, believe it or not, days in peak summer when you’ll barely get wet. All depends on the wind currents that day. Nice video. Too bad you didn’t take the park trolley on the USA side and make it over to Three Sisters Island. Beautiful spot and some very nice photo opportunities. BTW, my favorite time for Maid of the Mist is August. The water actually warms a bit and it will actually feel like a gentle kiss rather than the Flying Ice Daggers 😂 of April and May.
I spent my childhood in Toronto and have fond memories of Niagra Falls. I had never seen the American side so now as an adult perhaps it is time for a return visit and see it.
I've never been to Niagra Falls, after seeing this I REALLY want to go more than I did before! Thanks for another fantastic video Josh!
Great video that brought back memories.
Years ago (2011), I was driving from Indiana to Maine and stopped to see the falls. Instead of walking to the Canadian side, I drove. I remember the U.S. border guy being really suspect when I told him I had been in Canada for only a few hours. It was as though he had never heard of the concept of a day trip. 😂 Otherwise, a great time.
haha that is funny! We drove the first time when we visited a few years back but walking is much easier
Thanks for the video
Another great video!
Amazing 😍
Hii Josh,i love watching your videos, they really are informative and very interesting. Totally enjoyed this one.
Great video
This is #1 on my bucket list!
I hope you can visit, it is a cool spot!
What a great team you two are!
Thanks!
My first thought was also Gatlinburg.
Loved the video.......greetings from Ireland.......
Gosh I was there from Australia in 1981. I stayed in St.Catharines with family. Crossing into Buffalo was interesting. The crossing guard did not seem to like me. He was military. I was 20, my uncle was stunned. But I loved Niagara Falls. Could not drink, I could back home. 18 is our age group.. never made it back.
Enjoyed this video Josh - and can definitely relate to the taking of too many pictures :)
Very cool video!
I’m been thinking of going here for my birthday next year. It looks like an awesome trip. Great video, guys! 🙌🏽
You should, it is a beautiful spot. Some fun hiking around as well like the Eternal Flame Falls.
Very cool Josh.
What a wonderful adventure. Never been to Niagara Falls but it’s been a dream of mine to go. Thanks for sharing your adventures there. So incredible
I hope you make it one day, even though it can be touristy, it is amazing!
Been to both sides more times than I can count 2 times already this year I always do both sides my 2 favorite spots are Terrapin Point Horseshoe Falls and Table Rock right by Horseshoe Falls
6:25 ERODING BENEATH ME… EROOOOOOOOOODING!!!
Hahahaha 😂
Superb videos. 🙏
Good job. Amie does a great job! Very interesting.
Thank you!
Another great adventure that deserves a huge THANK YOU for talking us along. We miss Pops but Amy adds to the family structure just as well... Maybe better. 😄 Stay well you two and keep'em coming.
So glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for the comment!
On your next trip to Canada, try the poutine at Harvey's. It's half the price of Smoke's and tastes even better. There are locations everywhere.
Thank you. That was really nice. Also, thank you for visiting our country, Canada, too.
Love the Canada side, it is awesome!
...a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you… Greetings Jörg
Visited the falls in 2022 with my son during a Roadtrip. We're from Germany and it was amazing
So glad you got to see it, it really is special!
15:22 LOL. The farting sound when she says "Indian dish".
Haha my husband and I had to rewind it a few times 😆 we thought that we heard a toot! Haha not sure if it was or if it was a random noise 😆 I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else said anything about it haha
You have to see NFs when everything is frozen! Deep winter.
you guys should wait to see firework started around 10pm
You two are so cute!
Kind of you to say!
My parents and I went to Niagara Falls many times. Love it there. More falls I love is Taquaminon in the U.P. of Michigan. You should check it out if you haven't already.
I actually just visited a few days ago on a Michigan road trip, it was amazing!
Hope to see your video of Tahquamenon soon!
That place looks amazing! My family and I are planning to visit Toronto in September, but is that a good month to see Niagara Falls?
I walked across that bridge in the mid 1980s. There was a turnstile at the Canadian end and you needed a dime to put in the turnstile to enter Canada. I wonder where that turnstile is these days... Also, there was no change making machine so you really needed that dime...
Glad to see the two of you enjoying the falls.
Fun Fact: During the night there's a hydro electric power plant operating to generate electricity. It stops during the day so the full flow of water goes over the falls and allows the visitors to get the full experience of it all.
Wow, I had no idea, thanks for sharing that!
Not quite: the power comes from two generating plants, American and Canadian sides, both near the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, both with exhibits. Both use more water at night, but still use some water during the day.
Been there, done that....Javi G.
I’m glad you got to see it!
You need to check out Shoshone falls in Twin Falls Idaho and the hiking in the Stanley basin in Stanley Idaho oh and don't forget goldbug hotsprings near salmon Idaho
Sounds amazing, I will add that to the list!
Oh man winter time, brave, haha I would hate to be wet during winter.
haha It was pretty nice with the sun so it made it a little better haha
I prefer to visit the falls in colder weather. In the summertime, the place is packed, too many tourists.
If the temperature is below freezing, the mist freezes on trees, railings, lampposts, roads downwind (usually the American side).
Did you go back post eclipse? A lot of the water is diverted for power generation. I can only imagine what the roar of the water was back then.
This was the same trip as the eclipse. Figured it would be a more helpful video haha
What month did you go?
Being from Buffalo I approve of Beef on Weck and Wings, a WNY staple.
Beef on Weck from Charlie the Butcher was one of the best things I have had in a long time!
NFs is wonderful....I prefer Toronto!
Oh my, you missed out on the whitewater gorge, whirlpool, and Spanish Aerocar. Almost as good as the falls themselves, though less famous.
Will have to check that out next time!
The anchor bar is definitely not the creators of the buffalo wings. Do some research. PSA TOURISTS don’t go to the anchor bar for wings and pizza. Here’s some places you’ll enjoy.. Bucks, Ventry’s frenchies George’s goodfellas…
You're making me feel they aren't as tall as I thought.
I'm betting Clifton is made for the night. Go after dark.
You can't go to just one restaurant and give up on poutine. Poutine is in every restaurant that sells fries in Canada. Some taste better than others.
It's like going to Pizza Hutt and then saying pizza is bad because Pizza Hutt pizza is bad. You have to try it from some other places

Just go and see Iguaçu falls and you will see Niagara falls are nothing aside
I would love to!!
We can appreciate both wonders without trashing Niagara Falls 😂.
What's the best time to visit??
Love your channel when I went to niagra I didn't even bother going to the dirty gross United States side and I'm from Connecticut! The Canadian side had people picking up garbage from all the parks and even from parking lots. If you stay at the Hilton fallsview and want to save a few dollars you can park at the casino and walk all your stuff accross to the Hilton. I have 0 regrets about not seeing the falls from the US side. I Highly recommend doing the jet boat tour as it was a blast.
I would love to stay on the Canada side with one of the falls view hotels. Maybe I will try that next time!
ThroughMyLens I stayed one night at a airbnb 30 minutes away from the falls and one night at the hilton falls view. I'm driving from pheonix to the south rim of the grand canyon friday. I'm excited for the red rock scenic byway. Do you have any recomended quick stops along the way?
We took our poor dog through Clifton hills. She did not like it all. From go karts backfiring, to all the noises. 100%, just like Gatlinburg or even Myrtle Beach. It’s the only place in Canada that looks like a tourist trap.
I know what you mean, it for sure had a Gatlinburg vibe

?
U.S could have been fun if its like the Canada side
BUT WE FORGOT OUR PASSPORTS
Fun fact: Harriet Tubman was the first person to jump into and survive the Niagara Falls!
6:25 ERODING BENEATH ME… EROOOOOOOOOODING!!!
Hahahaha 😂
Superb videos. 🙏
