Spot on review (except I personally prefer Solar Sentinels). I was an early backer (and play tester) and saw this as a very desirable solo game for me. Something I can easily put on the table for a quick game. Variety, choices matter, scaling difficulty options. And travel! I was just traveling recently, brought SS along and managed to get three games in over a couple days when I had some time to kill. Love it. Rules wise (6:15), I believe in SS you do not get to repeat the encounter like you do in TMB. If I remember correctly, you take the damage and either are defeated or move on.
came here to express the same concern. dice quality is absolutely terrible, not just the smell. my dice have chips and flakes. unacceptable from such a well established company known for gilding the lily. this reminds me, i need to put in my support ticket.
Interesting game. Standard trope of space marines killing space bugs. (A trope I happen to like.) I like the counter and the custom dice. (I just wish they did not use d6's. d6's are boring.) The art looks good. The dice pool mechanic is common, but the limited recovery of dice adds the skill. Small table footprint. Definitely a _Small Box Solo Game_ I have been on the lookout for lately. (My latest find was _Tin Helm.)_ Definitely worth a look into, comes down to price and time to play. Thanks for sharing!
"The production is really good, the dice are really nice." did we get the same game!?!? these are, no exaggeration, the worst quality dice in my entire gaming collection. in my game, multiple dice arrived with chips, many have printing issues with the ink transfer to the symbols, and nearly all of them have confetti flakes that settled to one side and in many are literally poking out of the die faces. also, a lot of the cards have dents where the foil impression was stamped too hard. the game is great, but you must've received a unicorn copy if it didn't have any manufacturing defects. i'm super disappointed in CTG for not doing better QA on this game.
Don't know what to say...I don't have any of those issues. The game did have an odor that has faded over time. That's all. You are the second person to comment that. So I guess I got lucky
@@HungryGamerReviews interesting. that's good that at least some folks didn't have any issues. but yeah, the comments on the GF page are awash with folks whose dice are pretty rough.

Oh. I will have to go check on that. I thought I was going to prefer SS but I was just wrong!
You are 100% correct. You take damage, you don't get the reward, and you move on. I haven't played the other 2 yet, but that's how SS works
I wonder if they made sure to send you good dice. They are having massive quality issues. Flakes sticking out and peoples dice chipping.
Pretty sure mines a run copy. It did have odor when I opened it that I had heard about. Haven't noticed any dice issues. I'll have to look close

Thanks for watching! Now go kill those space bugs
@@HungryGamerReviews: I wish I could, but they're not shipping until January. (Backers first!) I shall preorder for a late Christmas gift, however.
Dang it, now I need to get the Too Many Bones deck :)
sorry not sorry!
