Strong review as expected from Hungrygamer. Have you seen the new dungeon tiles? They look amazing. We found that playing with 4 players evens out the randomness.

I bought D&D books for my son a couple years ago and we just couldn't get started. Character generation was fun but, even though I'd played in the 80's, we couldn't muster the patience to figure out how the newer edition worked (and I've never DM'd). And now they've come out with a new edition. Can't keep up. We may hunt for a DM to run a 5e game for us later but, for now, I feel like Pericle will get us moving on an adventure. The software DM is really what sold me. Can't wait to see the look on his face when it arrives!

Great points made throughout! The fact that the loot defines the makeup of the character each game, and then they are essentially re-made each dungeon is too me a fresh new mechanic. Mind blowing a bit at first, but I really appreciate it.

Two games that will remain in my collection forever and expanded on whenever offered. Love each of them for different reasons and I'm glad I can't choose between the two which I like better.

I got this because of your first video of this game. Currently, my cat is sleeping on the box. 😛 BTW, _roguelike dungeon crawl_ does mean procedural generation of the dungeon, enemies and loot. Also features exploration, combat and looting.

You're 100% spot on! Using D10's is a recipe for disaster, the loot feels like garbage cycling, immunity systems are always dull, and the classes are not really classes. Overall the game felt like a chore to play.

One of my favourite dungeon crawlers, I can't wait to see what else is new in the next expansion!

Very interesting prototype, maybe subbuteo style flicks would be more accurate!

You mentioned the finite resources... but there are recharge packs, printable replacements, and an app for scratchers. Plus replacement stampers.

Thanks for noticing all the details: chonky cardboard thickness, minis in a retail edition, bookmark factions, cylinders in space, creepy space bug (aka galactic kraken), all of it fitting in the base box and much more!

On the box they said 1 session is 2h+30min/players, it's true ? The game session look like to much long, like 6h for 2 players games.

I agree with the point SO MUCH about having a game that comes with standees to start. I hope other publishers are taking note. I got it to see if I like it, and if I go crazy loving it I can look into figures. But overall, for me, gameplay is more important than minis. I watched this, then played the game some, and watched it again. I agree with all of the points. I did not juggle everything new with the initiative board right away from Fall of the Spire, but I will keep at it. I am also trying to let go of my usual feeling of wanting the play the game exactly as intended, and just have fun with it. It is a lot of stats to juggle, as noted. And when do I transfer day and night with leadership token? Can I swap weapons mid battle? I still do not remember, but I get going and I am having fun again.

Sleeve kings had some reasonably priced metal coins on their last crowd funding… neoprene mats when there are single cards that have to be removed from the middlish of the board.
