    19:58 ...... Yes alpha mini "V1" 13 nm , but the following models have 10 nm.
    The difference seems to be in the power supply 😉

    The R12 is the biggest competitor?
    Let me disagree i think the alpha mini beats both
    BTW really high quality and straight to the point
    Oscilations,heat and the steps
    You mentioned everything good job!
    When i buy something that expensive the first thing i think is what could go wrong?
    What is the weak link?
    The mini has higher encoder,smoother with less steps,more mounting points and IMO much prettier
    Also the GT NEO i hear is better quality
    Moza choosing to go with the same encoder res with the R5 R9 is kinda disappointing
    Personally i cant find a reason why choose R12 insted of the mini

      @tkdmp5698 Hey there, really good points, thanks for putting them in here and for entering the discussion!
      I'm absolutely convinced that the mini is the best choice of all the mentioned devices but I didn't have the chance to test it unfortunately.
      On paper its less Nm than the R12 but its about the same price. But the whole package is definitely better i guess!
      Regarding the GT Neo... 😄 stay tuned, there might be something on the way!
      And yeah I totally agree, I'm also relying on all the reviews here on TH-cam and I watch every single one of them in order to justify my buying decision for myself because there is no "sim racing store" where I could try everything and make up my mind what would be the best product to get.
      Thank you very very much for your positive feedback as well, that's really motivating 🙂

    The nrg quick release is nice but mozas version has got issues , whether its quality control or poor materials but some new wheels have had loose fitting qr which causes a hideous rattling when in use also after time the wear and tear can cause the same rattling , there are videos online that show this issue , i actually think the Simucube and Asetek qr s are the most sturdy and robust .

    • @CKSimRacing
      @CKSimRacing  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @bodasafur6078 Hey there, thanks for pointing that out. Regarding wear and tear, my R9 and both of my wheels didn't suffer from that fortunately. They still operate as if they were new, maybe I'm lucky 🙂 but maybe it's the same as with ratings on Amazon for products: lots of people are happy about their stuff without posting a review and the ones who've had issues are, of course, talking about it in their reviews. The only sign of wear was a little bit of creaking in my GS V2 wheel, which had developed over time, I've talked about it in my review as well.
      Regarding the Asetek and Simucube QRs...well, at least for one of them I can confirm that it's insanely sturdy and robust 😏 stay tuned and thanks for your comment!

    The cogging is because it is not true servo motor... Closer in structure to a stepper motor. Open it up and you can count the poles. So yea like i said, a lot of questionable product claims. And this extends to a lot of their other products.

    • @CKSimRacing
      @CKSimRacing  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh really? I checked the product description on MOZAs website but I couldn't find any info about that after reading your comment. It would be quite nice if they'd add the option for front mounting for sure but power output wise I think the R9 is gonna be fine when it's bottom mounted

    I got my ES wheel in about a week but the base was MIA. I later found out via the Moza discord that the distributor here in the states ships everything via Amazon and although the website said the base was in stock, Amazon had it out of stock and when it was in stock, the price was higher than what I had paid. After 3 more days of waiting for it to ship once in stock and zero communication. I cancelled my order and went to a store to but the base at a cheaper price (Black Friday sale).
    The base is fine, just don't buy it from the Moza website and expect it to ship within a day or 2. I do wish I had waited and bought something else honestly. Asetek might've been my choice (thanks Matt Malone) or even Simagic but I'll hold on to this for now. Just not sure if I want to invest more money into the ecosystem by buying another wheel.

      @Casketman20 Hey Casketman, now that sounds like an awful story, sorry for you mate! But yes, I have ordered the moza handbrake shortly after its release and it was shipped directly from China. Took about two weeks to arrive. I've read many comments about Moza having bad shipping when ordering directly via their website. Always check for a local reseller

    Do they still overheat and cut at 7nm?

    • @CKSimRacing

      Short answer, yes, though I can't confirm whether it cuts at 7Nm.
      The long answer can be found at 16:30 in the video. Once dialed in correctly, it doesn't cut the power anymore and it won't clip as well

    I went from R5 to a R9++GS formula wheel+ Fanatec V3 pedals+Dash unit.....I will NOT be uipgrading anymore! I run R9 @ 40-45% strength...any more it's too strong to steer and much more than a real car!

    • @CKSimRacing
      @CKSimRacing  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Haha I've said that multiple times to myself regarding NOT upgrading anymore. But hey, you've got a really nice setup and basically, as long as it works and you are satisfied, having fun and improving in your races, there seriously is no reason to upgrade! Also having more Nm won't make you faster. Yes, there are stronger wheelbases and yes some are having more detail and such but the only thing that matters is that you are happy with what you have :)

      @CKSimRacing  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Snakkers Congratulations on the R21. I've also considered this one but eventually picked a different brand when I updated. I agree, the R9 might not be strong enough, once you've advanced in your sim racing journey but it's a very solid entry into the direct drive market and I guess that many people will keep it at that level maybe.
      Highly subjective topic but I'm happy for you getting the R21!
