I never thought that Palpatine regretted his facial transformation. I always thought that he was proud because it was the final step of his revealing The Dark Lord Of The Sith to everyone. As did I and that what we had seen up until then was actually some type of mask. Ian McDiarmid said that the original pitch was that the emperor was very old, at least 120 by the time of the Return of the Jedi
The novelization and Ian McDiarmid all but stated that the deformed face is Sidious true face (maybe a result of being very old but maintaining himself alive with the Dark Side thanks to Darth Plagueis secrets or simply from being totally immersed in the Dark Side), the Palpatine face being a disguise which he conveniently dropped after Mace reflected his lightning so he could stop pretending and to show as a proof of the Jedi attack on him. Else, why was Luke not deformed when hit with Sidious Force lightning? And why Sidious cloned body in SW9 is also deformed despite never having been hit by Force lightning (unless Force lightning somehow messes with DNA)?
@Egalitarian917 Palpatine's eyes turning yellow as his lightnings are reflected are also a clue that the "transformation" is Sidious dropping his disguise and showing his true self: we know that the yellow eyes are a passive side effect of being immersed in the Dark Side and not some kind of direct damage. And just like the deformed face, Sidious kept the yellow eyes permanently until he died. I read somewhere that Sidious already looked ugly even during The Phantom Menace. He was using what's called a Sith Mask, a strong force enabled disguise, so he could look normal. When the lightning comes back on him in the fight with Windu, it isn't the lightning that deforms him, but reveals his true face by destroying the mask. One small point about Naboo's 'royalty'... They are elected to terms, two maximum, and only as teenage girls... Well I personally think that if Qui-gon could not handle Maul, he had no chance against Dooku. That said they are both incredible in their own right and with a few more years of training maybe Qui-gon could have become more powerful than even Yoda. Sucks we will never know.
@@Krackdown96Qui-Gon was unique because of his outlook on the force and his instinctive wisdom. His power, while remarkable, was nowhere near that of Yoda. As for his fighting skills we know he once had been a very fine duelist using Form IV Ataru which focuses on quickly overwhelming your opponent with rapid strikes and acrobatic maneuvers. However at the time of Phantom Menace he was already quite old and no longer agile enough to use the form to its full extent. And even if he had been Dooku clearly states (in the RotS novel when he is duelling Anakin and Obi-Wan) that his Makashi would have beaten Qui-Gon's Ataru

Finally someone else caught on and has straightened things out!
Hey I just had a thought and was curious if you had a take on this: What do you think would happen if Qui Gon had lived to face off against his old master Dooku in Revenge of the Sith? I couldn’t find any video on this topic so as far as I know this is an original question.
Well I personally think that if Qui-gon could not handle Maul, he had no chance against Dooku. That said they are both incredible in their own right and with a few more years of training maybe Qui-gon could have become more powerful than even Yoda. Sucks we will never know.
Dooku wouldn't have turned full sith if Qui Gon hadn't died.
Now what did his girlfriend think... Unofficially out of ear shot of him😁
If Anakin had been quicker they would have ruled the galaxy AND Palpy would've gotten laid one more time before he died.
He gets laid plenty. He’s the Emperor, he takes cunny at will
Palps was still clapping cheeks. He did so to rub it in to Anakin that he still could.
@@michaelv9833 Not that Anakin really cares anymore, lmao.
I guess he didn't mind revealing his true form - Darth Hideous.
He basically didn't have to hide or mask anymore.
Palpatine looks better as Emperor Sidious than before !
Upon looking into the mirror post-Windu fight. Palpatine “quick, get me a microdermabrasion kit, 50 TCA acid peels, and a tanker full of Botox.”😂😂😂😂
His face looks as though he used the aging filter in a photo editor dozens of times.
Palpatine every morning in the mirror: hello gorgeous!
he was finally able to be himself...
So good old Palps finally let his inner Sith out of the closet!😁🤗🤪
Damn Malgus is basically Ego from Guardians of the Galaxy.
That Senate speech... "The attempt on my life has left me scarred and disfigured... but my resolve has NEVER been stronger!" The speech marking the birth of the Empire is iconic.
The deformed face was who he was, he merely shed his mask, his facade.😊
3:00 is it just me or young palpatine looks like Tom Hiddleston loll
That’s a stretch! In the book he caused by the force lightning rebounding from Windom. He was glad he survived. His vocal cords where damaged . I think he would been happier unscathed.
A face only a mother could love 😢
I always thought Robot Chicken covered this nicely.
He was wearing a disguise I thought.
Palpatine was trully a body positive king.
Calling it now before watching. “He liked it since it showed that the Jedi tried to kill him AND that he gave everything to the galaxy”
I freaking called it!
Sidious is a very mature villian
The most powerful Sith Lord, man whose forehead is two prunes kissing. Okey dokey.
You know palbitine didn’t have to worry about having A girl friend, he could make clones of women who he have admired with control docs in each lady clone, he wouldn’t have too worry about women disliking him.
