- Building a GameCube NSO game lineup is a pretty tough job. There are just so many great games on Nintendo's 2nd 3D home console. If Nintendo were ever going to release GameCube games as part of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, which ones should be there at launch?
I ended up using the current Expansion Pass lineup as a guideline and picked 9 of my favorite GameCube games for a potential launch library. I think some of my picks might surprise you.

Great list and for the future like up games I would love Sonic adventure on it (also the gamecube version is called sonic adventure DX directrors cut)
This is a really good line up but I’d probably add sonic adventure instead of melee let me explain,
If nintendo adds the first smash bros and then create this than yeah I think it works, but if they don’t add it yet (and are still adding games) and release it without the first on the n64 online I think after smash bros releases with gamecube released than they should add melee

I think the only reason why nintendo hasn't gotten around to gamecube online because they'd be dealing with 1 gigabyte titles maybe later when they start developing a terabyte console
Honestly instead of kirby airride, I could see them adding Bomberman Generation instead, as its a fantastic adventure game and a series that has been really forgotten in the recent years and could easily revive the series, other then that I'm good with this lineup especially since I Love luigis Mansion and super Mario sunshine as they are my favorite games on the console!

Make it so that the first year is mostly 1st party games which will never get any other sort of release with the only 3rd party games being SoulCalibur, Resident Evil and Prince of Persia. Year 2 is also mostly first party, but with some really notable 3rd party titles hitting. As in, all of these were hits back in the day. Year 3 is when there are still plenty of 1st party games but a slight majority are 3rd party. Year 4 only has one 1st party game and most of the 3rd party games are sequels. Year 5 manages to end plans in a really, really strong way with the end of certain series on the console and some more obscure games like Super Monkey Ball and Beyond Good and Evil. The reason the list is so long is because the Gamecube had what's possibly the best lineup of any Nintendo console until the Switch. The NES and N64 were defined by 1st party titles and a handful of 3rd party games. The SNES had a strong lineup but most of the games on it were fighting games, 2D platformers or JRPGs. The Wii only had a handful of games which still hold up today and most of them were 1st party since the Wii was primarily a place for small indie devs to release shovelware. The Wii U sold poorly and most of its library is now on the Switch. And with handhelds, the Game Boy's library is often very dated with only a handful of titles standing the test of time, the Game Boy Advance has a library every bit as good as the Gamecube and SNES but those titles are also 2D games. The DS and 3DS have some amazing games but third party devs often didn't know how to utilize the dual screens or the original DS' lack of horsepower. The Switch is still the best Nintendo console primarily because it has so many ports + Switch Online so virtually every popular game series which isn't an RTS is represented on the console. I'd actually even argue that the Gamecube's library was the strongest of its generation and even better than the Dreamcast, PS2 and Xbox and managed to be so without Grand Theft Auto and I say this since the Xbox's first party games aside from Halo and Fable were often lacking in quality, the Dreamcast lacked a second joystick so camera controls were usually painful and the PS2 suffered from an inability to utilize antialiasing with lower-quality ports of 3rd party titles which often ran at 240 instead of 480 resolution and at 30 instead of 60 FPS with only two instead of 4 controller ports in contrast to the Gamecube and Xbox. Even though the PS2 could support the multitap, developers ignored it entirely since 4-player split-screen would often affect frame rates and few players had a multitap. I feel like only the Xbox 360 and original Sony Playstation possibly give the Gamecube a run for its money as far as retro consoles go.
Toadstool tour would be replaced with superstar baseball. I’m one of the ones who grew up with Mario baseball more and honestly having superstar baseball would make the line up even better, not saying to leave toadstool tour out but to sim play add baseball first
Baseball was my second choice and I was very close to adding it here! I would be very happy with both games :)
Fire emblem path of radiance is 300 or more dollars i need it on nso you list is great and I actually agree that smash would be a stretch to be added

Twilight Princess is not considered a Wii game. It was in development for Gamecube first. It launched on Gamecube first too. I never got the Wii. I played it on Gamecube.

I think my choice for a GC FPS would be Killer 7. WindWaker feels a little overrated so I would personally pick Twilight Princess because the motion controls felt like an afterthought. I would also pick Super Monkey Ball 2 over the original because it included more mini games. Also F-Zero GX deserves to be on here. It had amazing graphics and would look incredible at 1080p or 4K. I would also put Sonic Adventure 2 Battle at launch because it was the first game I had for mine.

A list without Star Wars Rogue Leader and Metroid Prime will never be satisfatory.
Never played the Star Wars game but no Prime here because of the chance for a rerelease. Otherwise it should definitely be here :)
where would players find the storage to keep these games for offline use??
GameCube having larger games would cause greater storage concerns. Maybe there could be an option to choose certain titles to have downloaded at one time

Not only Animal Crossing has that,but it also has actual time in there,so if they want to put it on,they’ll have to remove the Suspend Points.

i just play game cube on pc so im paying what is most likey 100$ a year for game cube when i can play them for free on pc with out a pay wall. dont think it be bad if i can just out right buy them on switch that be cool

At this point, NSO expansions for GameCube, Wii, and Game Boy (Color) are already all-but-confirmed, since NERD (the branch that develops NSO's digital consoles) has already created and released some form of emulation for all 3 of those consoles in the last 2 years (Super Mario 3D All-Stars and the Zelda Game & Watch). The question right now is less "will it happen?" and more "how long will they take to release them all?".
I never thought of Wii but that would be amazing if they incorporated the Joy Con as a sort of Wii Remote like they did for Skyward Sword HD

Wow, you really love to give people headaches with these cringe videos don't you? While I actually found this video to be more cringe than the GBA one, the video is older than the GBA one, so I gotta give you some props for at least trying to be less cringe in later videos.
Anyways, the first issue once again starts with Zelda. I mean, you are aware of the Tingle Tuner, how that might be an issue to translate on Switch, and the fact that Twilight Princess was made for Gamecube before dual releasing on both Wii and Gamecube, yes? That said, it makes more sense put Twilight Princess on NSO over Wind Waker. Wind Waker's problem could potentially be solved using the online functions. But then that would also make Four Swords Adventures on NSO possible. And I already know how forgetful you are of Four Swords games other than Minish Cap.
The next problem is that you put Doshin the Giant as a starter lineup. I understand that you wanted to replicate the type of choices for N64 for this one. But you need to understand that the reason why Sin and Punishment was picked for N64 so early was because it was a game that would appeal to most gamers worldwide immediately. Doshin is more of a kind of have to play it to get it. It's something that most gamers outside of Japan wouldn't really find that appealing at first sight. Which is why it's something that should actually be a later release than a day 1 lineup release.
Also, Metroid Prime really should been put in Eternal Darkness's place since Eternal Darkness is rated M, therefore, should be a separate e-shop re-release instead.
At the end of the video, you're idea of a lineup just felt more cringe than your GBA one by having only one Zelda period for a ridiculous reason, zero mention of Metroid Prime 1 and/or 2 at all period (I mean you could've at least said that it's because of the trilogy on Switch or Prime 1 remake rumors), and just having a very "meh" feeling starting lineup. Like Golf over Soccer/Football or Baseball? Really? I know we already have Mario Strikers on Switch, but that sort of thing didn't stop Nintendo from having two Pokemon Snap games on Switch. Seriously. I just feel like the lineup could've been better had you not tried too hard replicate the N64 one a little too much. Just saying.
Acting like this is a miracle to be able to play these old ass games on a new console is laughable🤦♂️ nowadays anyone can play any one of these games that's on Nintendo's online service on their cell phone for free. You can play them on the go. Or you can plug into HDMI dongle and hook up a controller through Bluetooth and play on a TV. Nintendo isn't offering a good service not in the slightest. You can't even buy to own these games on your new console. You have to rent them from Nintendo...🤦♂️ not to mention the service launched with a lot of issues. Makes no sense to pay Nintendo in order to play these games when you can play them on your phone at higher resolutions and higher frame rates...
