All those remasters and remakes that were reported to have been finished and never came out, I was thinking they’re saving them for the next Consol
I don’t know if that’s true it’s kind of dumb to that because they’ll just build more profit off of the games if they release them now plus there’s not many they’ve already rumored out there that could held for the next console it’s pretty likely all those remasters are coming out soon. Like wind waker tp echoes corruption, fzero gx, Luigi mansion. I think we are getting all of those next year AND I also believe we will get a Wii punch out remake

The thing is Nintendo KNOWS of all the consoles the GameCube games are the most sought after. No way it goes to NSO they would lose money on every game instead of making HD ports or even Remakes.

I really hope Nintendo starts doing ports/remasters of Wii games on the Switch 2. Lots of people from the 2000s really just wanna go back to their childhood not to mention there's some good Mario games on there I never got to check out as a kid.

Id way rather see Nintendo release GameCube games as remasters/remakes like they are VS being on NSO. Thats just me but I do see the appeal of it being on NSO, Id just rather own it physical.

I think Nintendo should sell Luigi mansion, Twighlight princess and wind Waker separately before putting GameCube online. And I think F zero, Mario kart, Mario smash melee, Mario party4+5+6+7, and animal crossing [The original] as well as some 3drd party games from the GameCube would still be enough to get people to be interested in the GameCube online.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess may have been released on the GameCube, but it is still more famous on the Wii.

If you think about it GameCube sold poorly like the wiiu, there are many gems out there that the majority of people haven’t played due to time gone and lack of GameCube sales. I think the rereleases are a no brainier. Everyone wins. They should make these releases 45 dollars though
The Switch obviously has its own fantastic library, but a huge selling point of Switch has been those GameCube and Wii U ports lol
When they put Melee on NSO I will start paying for their online service. Not sure if it'll happen, but not supporting it until Nintendo gives me a modern way to play that game with my friends.

When im thinking about Nintendo Gamecube, a purple box with grey controller and games The legend of Zelda Wind Waker, The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Kirby Air ride, Starfox adventure, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness are coming to my mind when im thinking about Gamecube and it's amazing games. When Nintendo relased a Paper Mario Thousand Year Door remake on latest Nintendo Direct, I relized Nintendo won't make a Nintendo Gamecube library collection for Nintendo Switch online because Nintendo will make a remakes of old Gamecube games. I would love to see remakes of Super Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Kirby Air Ride, Starfox Adventure, Pokémon Gale of Darkness and Colosseum. I believe there is not coming remakes of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess because there already is Twilight Princess on Gamecube, Wii and Wii U and Wind Waker on Gamecube and Wii U so these will not coming but it would be cool to see Twilight Princess hd remake because Twilight Princess is one of my favourite The Legend of Zelda games with Skyward Sword, Wii's Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword was my first ever Zelda games so that's why these are near of my heart. I remember when we had Gamecube and games Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart Double Dash and I liked watching when my Big brother played Super Mario Sunshine, it's not my type game I played it on Switch Super Mario 3d all stars, I like more Super Mario Galaxy games Sunshine is so diffrent but it's story is good and voice acting too. If i was Nintendo I do retro and add indie games to the service as well as smaller games to it like wario move it together ,kirby dream buffet, donkey kong vs mario ,part time ufo ,51 world wide games and many more small games Nintendo thats what id do in my opinion it would increase the service value.

Indeed it does appear that GameCube Online is unlikely to happen any time in the next few years. Though despite the evidence stacked against it, I was holding out hope that it might happen in 2025. Not so I can have all the classics free with purchase like everyone else impatiently wants, but because of the titles that otherwise wouldn't see the light of day in modern times. Titles such as: Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, the various Mario Sports games. Titles of which, would be considered too redundant to allocate resources to porting. But with seven of the best first-party titles and possibly two more already existing in an HD form, one must question if there even can still be a chance.
I was also hoping so. I’ve never had a GameCube title before (basically, except for Super Mario Sunshine because I have Super Mario 35.), but I’ve played a GameCube game several times in my life at other places.
And here I wouldn’t mind a Mariokart double dash remake.

Regarding the Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD port to switch. Aonuma stated in an article,back in July, that he's not concerned with the old games anymore and that "We prefer to focus on the future. To me that's confirmation that those games aren't' coming to the Switch outside of a subscription service.
That's why I decided to go buy a WiiU and so I could play the HD versions of both of those games haha.
You will like the changes they made to Windwaker HD and Twilight Princess HD. Honestly I prefer Twilight Princess HD.

I feel like if we get the GameCube emulator in Online, we won't get anything that's already been remastered that Nintendo is selling separately (Pikmin, Metroid, etc...), except Sunshine as that was a limited edition one time thing, or planning to sell separately like Paper Mario.
Melee is an iconic title that certainly belongs on the service, but based on the fact that the Nintendo 64 emulator at this time does not include Super Smash Bros, I question whether Melee will be included. I especially question this because the Smash Bros community is pretty die hard about Melee, and if you gave them Melee with online capabilities on Switch, you might lose a large segment of competitive Smash players.
Here's a wishlist of games that I would like to see from the GameCube on Switch Online - I will denote the ones that I doubt will make it with a star symbol* - Some I doubt will make it due to existing or soon to be existing ports of those games that Nintendo is already selling. Some I think would eat into their market for other games (like Melee), some might be too obscure, and some might be considered by Nintendo to be too mature to be included in this service as they seem to be targeting a max rating of T for Teen.

Dolphin emulator needs some sort of "Big Picture" mode interface and there will literally be no reason to buy into this Nintendo online stuff.

I know this sounds selfish, but the two games I REALLY hope won’t come to the Switch, or will only be available on NSO or be released on a console completely different from the Switch (not “Switch 2” or “Switch Pro”), are The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Four Swords Adventures. I’ve always wanted to play GameCube games on my backwards compatible Wii, and the only game I have right now is Mario Kart: Double Dash. Aside from those two games, I can’t think of any other GameCube games I really want.
I am looking forward to see Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD on the switch. Could it possible that they will be out on the switch when the Switch 2 comes out maybe. Anyway I want Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both on HD on the switch in stores not the GameCube online it will most likely be like the Game Boy online paying 14.99 a month no thanks I rather pay the full price for a switch game 59.99. I am slowly saving money for these games on the switch. They are going to use Gamecube remasters to keep gamers busy while they prepare the Switch 2's launch Library. That is what I see happening. I do not see any major Nintendo games other than smaller games like Mario Wonder is all we will be seeing going forward. If the rumor is true and the Switch 2 is backwards compatible I am good with this.

People don’t realize that old games are very grindy because we didn’t have dlc’s or could download like we do now. Games were made to just grind for hours doing the same thing over and over. So no Ps2 or cube games. FF7 I grinded for hours on that. Nostalgia is awesome but those games were made during no technology era. Unless it’s paper Mario or an exclusive.

Can i get a Honest opinion on why mario Sunshine is such a controversial game? Long before i used TH-cam, Social Media etc… i loved that Game so much and only learned about the fight over this Game online, like 2-3 years ago. Is it the Bad camera in the game? Hahah
I honestly believe the game was just too far ahead of its time when it was originally released. People weren't ready for the different play mechanics with the water, also it was a departure from the traditional enemies and landscapes.
With that being said It's My favorite Mario game of all time! In fact I think it's about time I revisit Isle delfino once again! 🏝️ 🌞❤

I've learned to not care about what Nintendo is doing, or going to do.
They've sorely disappointed me with not coming out with, Windwaker so far. And I doubt they will, and sure probably only on, NSO, which I won't waste my time with if that's the case. Only a digital or physical copy.
So I really gave up on Nintendo a long time ago, and just simply enjoy the games that they do come out with, assuming I'm interested in it.

The ROG Ally can't even do it and neither can the Most expensive handheld out there right now. DLSS isn't magic. The lower your internal resolution the worst the upscaling looks. I don’t think GameCube is coming to NSO anytime soon, especially with all of the GameCube remakes coming out it’s clear that Nintendo would rather remake and remaster those titles and sell it to us for full price than to add it to a subscription service. They are a corporation at the end of the day, they are going to be looking at how to maximize profits and with the current market it would be much more valuable for Nintendo to remake or at least port GameCube games to the switch rather than bundle it into the subscription service
The reason for this amount of GCN remasters instead of emulation via NSO is because the Switch isn't powerful enough to emulate these games in HD yet. The way games like Super Mario Sunshine and Galaxy ran was thanks to recompiling (parts of) the code to run natively. The next Switch console however (assuming power is between that of the GTX 1050 Ti/RX 6400 in docked) could handle GameCube, Wii and 3DS at 4K.
id rather have all the games be actual releases then NSO. I hate that i have to keep a subscription to play some N64 games instead of just paying like 5 or 10 bucks to own them

Nintendo are my favourite brand despite never really being able to compete with current Gen hardware. But their first party and historic games library is far better than most modern games and that’s why people like Nintendo!
I wouldn’t care how powerful a Switch 2 was, I just want it to be able to play a COMPLETE library of Nintendo games. I want every single Mario and Zelda game EVER to be playable on one console. It’s unbelievable that Windwaker and Twilight Princess haven’t made their way on to the Switch. Or a Mario Galaxy 2….
Maybe it's just me, but everyone I know who was ever interested in playing games that were on previous systems already have those games and those systems. We still buy the remasters and stuff because it's fun to see great games get a makeover, but how big is the market for people who are actually new to those games? Isn't that just people who are new to gaming itself, or are very young (under 25) and don't have enough money to buy a gamecube but for some reason have enough money to buy a switch and the remasters? It just doesn't seem like a lot of people to me.

If we look at the virtual console of the Wii U, the next system on the NSO will be the Nintendo DS. Gamecube is not happening if it ever does for at least the next 10 years. Gamecube NSO would be when eventually they release the next console that isnt backwards compatible. So long as theres backwards compatibility with switch, it kills any chances of a gamecube nso because having gamecube nso with so many ports available for purchase would be redundant. But if backwards compatibility isnt there, then the switch ports of gamecube titles wouldnt be playable on the new system. So the only chance we will see a gamecube nso is not the switch 2 but the successor to switch 2.

It been 6 years for the switch not 7 because the switch was released by 2017 and we don't count the year of 2017 for the first year we count the first year of 2018 for the switch so that means it been 6years for the switch and I hope for the next original gameboy gba gbc online for the switch expansion pack the classic online games we get is Pokémon for original gameboy GBA GBC online for online battle and online trade for the switch online expansion pack and I hope the switch 2n early late spring or summer n 2024 and I hope it will last 5more years and I hope for the switch we will get is original Pokémon gameboy GBA GBC online for the switch online expansion pack with online battle and online Pokémon trade and because this is the 6 year of the switch the 10th year we'll be n the year of 2027 for the switch and the switch2 for both switches

I think 1 player games are most likely to get remastered versions, but that could be me wishing for Luigis Mansion remastered. (Though looking at OOT and MM I'm not certain.)

Well, first, obviously Nintendo has done a tremendous amount of research with what has already been available on NSO so far.
The hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay worldwide has given them regional data and overall data, to decide which titles from each retro console would be best suited to full remakes, as full priced physical games, with updated visuals/animation and UI/audio.
GameCube has tons of titles, perhaps only rivaled by the Wii and SNES when it comes to titles which would perform well as remakes.
Whats a nintendo?
I think Nintendo will still drip feed N64/GBA/GB throughout 2024, as there are plenty of titles from those game libraries yet to be added to NSO.
As for GameCube, the trend of remakes/remasters will continue (Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Prime 2, Star Fox Adventures + Assault, & F-Zero GX being the biggest ones remaining) as well, where I don't see GCN being added to NSO until 2025/2026 at the earliest (where Melee, Double Dash, and the older Mario sports titles will be included).

I'm tired of ports. The switch is nothing but full of Indie or old ass ports! I have a game cube and no way and he'll I'm paying 60 70 bucks for old ass GameCube games. I'd rather just buy it for my game cube. We don't need wind water 4k we already got it on wii u we don't need it on switch. When switch 2 comes out you will be saying the same thing lol.
