man i just had this idea last night after rewatching Dune and not being able to hear any of the Atmos. I hopped on here, couldn't find anything. Googled, nothing. jumped on Reddit, someone shared this link. I'm so stoked i can't wait
I have been meaning to do this for sometime. I will do it now. I believe I will do the same for front L R to separate the channel more. For those asking about the impedance of the speakers in paralel, may not heat up the amp but, may lower the performance and volume in the new speakers
I have a question for who has already done the connection of external top/ceiling speakers. Does the Samsung soundbar send to the speaker in the top rear a correspondent signal or just copy what's playing the rear channel but facing up? I've been running some tests and I'm not sure the rear channels have a channel-processed for real
@@georgeschamy1806 I believe that they are 3 direct seperate channels.
I would like to ask. Have you managed to connect the front left and right channels yet? If yes, can you advise me how? Thank you for answer.
@@dawidkamas Hi!, I didn't do it yet, but the video explains how to do it. I hope I understood your question.
@dawidkamas not yet. I think the front channels sound pretty good already, especially when you use smart things app to set them at the right level
Greetings bro, I love the great invention you made and the most brutal thing is that it works, I would like you to make a video of demos with movies, video games and Dolby Atmos videos, I know that listening to it on video is not the same as listening to it in person but something is something. Thanks bro for those tips on creating a new sound system.
Thanks for your kind words. I will look into the best way to record the listening experience as close to reality as possible.
@@nh-tech Thanks bro. Good job and success always.💪😎
careful when connecting both speakers in parallel, as equivalent resistance will be reduced to half (assuming resistance of both speakers are equal) and if it is less than rated resistance of amplifier, the amplifier will be heated more which may lead to damage amplifier.
Would this problem be solved If I disconnected the original speaker and connected only the new one?
Dude. This is brilliant!!! Found this video from the 2nd sub vid. And gotta say, I didn’t even dream of opening the tears up!! 🎉 seriously, the atmos setup is eye opening!! I even have a set of the Samsung swa8500 rear speaker kit from my last soundbar not doing anything!! Also, those swa-9100s are on sale for like $99 all over! 🎉 seriously, this is awesome!!
I do worry about the impedance load on the internal amplifiers tho. 🎉
can u put a video of showing the whole experience of how good it works
Amazing 😁 .. will be doing all these upgrades down the line !
And break your amp modules
@@dbefore7165how will it break them?
You’re a genius! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have a few questions and I’d really appreciate it if you could answer them. The first is, does it work with the Q950A? The second is, if I disconnected the original speakers and connected the new ones (instead of having both original and new working the same time), would that solve the potential amplifier damage issue that’s been circulating in the comments? The one where they say since the resistance is reduced due to the parallel connection, the amplifier might be damaged.
Great job! I’m thinking of doing something similar, but just to swap the rear speaker boards. I need them to be LS and RS with the RL and RR to reflect off of the back wall. The reason is if I just turn them, the up-firing atmos speakers face the opposite direction. 🤦🏽
மிகவும் அருமையாக திரம்பட செய்தீர்கள் நன்றி
Crazy bro....can you play some demo videos from this setup...
I will do that
If you are a bass freak then yeah, connect as many subs as you want, but for someone who is listening to music occasionally, the sub of the Q990C is more than enough. Also, if you want high fidelity, buy a Hi-Fi stereo system design for music. This is a surround system designed for watching movies.
are you sure that from a technical point of view it is ok? I mean, you put the additional speakers in parallel, I know that this can destroy the amplifier and the impedance of the speakers.
Would this problem be solved If I disconnected the original speaker and connected only the new one?
This is correct, you'd have to disconnect the original speakers and make sure the new speaker matches the impedance. This guy is gonna mess alot of people's shit up with bad advice @@AZiZORD
This Small Wire Cut Leads Voltage Or Current Leakage
I thought you were going to do a modification to add another sub, you mentioned that in the initial review video?
I already did that in this video th-cam.com/video/rl1eSqr8BYU/w-d-xo.html
The ducks tape to the roof lol watching and movie then i falls on your head lol 😅
Lol. They're actually glued in place
The modification you have made is amazing.
Thank you!
Amazingly stupid
I'm going to connect two bookshelf speakers to the soundbar, which are supposed to represent the front Left and Right I bought a 40W stereo amp to use for this. Question: from which speakers in the soundbar should I connect the output to the amplifier? Thank you very much for the advice.
OMG! I have the same Idea but using my exacting in ceiling speakers. I also having an idea not to use amplified signal, and use my own 2 channels amplifier . Do you know how can I find pre amp signals on the board? You are my time saver! Thanks!
I didn't check the pre-amp signals, but you should be able to find it labeled on the board.
@@nh-tech First, thanks for the response! Second, Do you have an idea how it labeled?
Good job. I like it. Can other speakers be used instead of the 9100?
Yes, you can use other speakers, but I can't speak to how good they'll sound
Oh wow awesome
Similar thing i did 22 yrs ago with the speakers of my cassette player.
I did this a very long time ago with a Vizio 5.1.2, added a second sub, bass shakers and even atmos on the roof. The idea is good but OPs execution is piss poor and will mess up peoples equipment, you don't double the impedance load on amplifiers just like that, if you want to tap you use a line output converter otherwise disconnect the native speaker and basically extend it to the new speakers of the same impedance
Do you know of anyway to trick the hw-990c into accepting 2 subwoofers? I have 2 of the PS-WC99B subwoofers and can only connect one. Older Samsung sound bars would connect 2 woofers. i found the antenna card and the numbers are the same for them both. has anyone experienced or tried this.
How did it come out? does it sound any better??
Yes, it does. Once you mount the height speakers up, you get a better atmos performance
Wow what's idea sir love you 😂
Wow this is pretty cool. Is there a reason why my 990c wifi isn't connecting to my sony a80j tv ? My 950a did no problems
Not sure why. It could be a range of things from compatibility to possible defects. I'll need more information
I’m going to do this to the HW-Q950T I’m guessing they are pretty similar
Yes, they're quite similar, except the rear speakers don't have side-firing drivers in the 950T
So you’ve halved the load on the amp module, explain how that’s good
I wouldn't be able to focus on the movie with all that dodgy wiring all over the place, cool idea, execution leaves a bit to be desired.
Fair
I will purchased this modal bro just 2 month ago
😂 Bad Idea Bad Idea Am Not Going To Mess Up With My System. Still 6 Month's EMI Remaining 😅 Samsung Warranty Policy Strictly Said Modifications And Act Of God And Damage By Cockroach Are Not Cover Under Warranty. One IC Pressure Enough To Suffer. System Show's Systems Has Been Destroyed. After Amplifier Overload 😮
Bro Why You Taking So Much Risk With Expensive Product. This Modification Make You System Warranty Avoid
Ik snap het allemaal prima. Maar het ziet er toch niet uit
Am so sorry stupid idea 🤷🏻♂️
