I stripped the speaker wires and connected them to there corresponding wires on the rca. I also took out the amp from the factory sub enclosure. And completely hidden the amp assembly. Love the setup!! Working perfectly. I also used a SmartThings smart plug to turn off the sub when it’s not receiving signal from the amp when the soundbar is turned off.

@gill02ful if you intend to replace the SVS amp with the Samsung amp, it’ll work but the output will be disappointing. The Samsung amp is just 36W or so. I just tried it, and it didn’t sound good. You can, however, attach the Samsung amp to your SVS and still connect the Samsung out to the Input on the SVS. That case, you’ll only have one subwoofer box.
@samyech889, it depends on the space. It may do well in smaller spaces but struggle in bigger spaces like an open concept house. There's no way my Samsung sub could achieve 20% of the bass the 12" Klipsch is outputting now after the modification.
When I look at this, this is exactly what I did to my connection, I am using a Sony ht 350, now I managed to connect 3 subwoofers on that cable and it is working very well and so powerful though 💪
I currently have the q600c and I’m having the same issue for movies its good but I want more bass for music and watching your video I think I’ll do the same🔥
Great work on expanding the availablility of additional bass. The only issue I see here is if there is any processing from the amp used to tune the frequency response of the original sub. The cross over on the Klipsch can help but I wonder if this will affect the bass response of the added sub.
😂😂😂 There is always some asshole in the comments hating. You haven’t done this yourself but make assumptions like you know what his results are. Sheesh.
I’m currently waiting for my HW-Q990C. I think I’ll take it to my electronics repair guy and get him to tap off the non-amplified signal side instead of the amplified signal side and use my SVS subwoofer. 👌🏻
@@humix100 I don’t think I’m going to bother. The HW-Q990C with my Samsung Q90 series 65 inch TV with Q-Symphony is more than loud enough for a bedroom. I’m actually quite impressed, and I competed in dBDrag Car Audio stuff for years. If it was my main system, maybe, but no need. I mean even my Center Channel can handle 600wRMS of power 😂
You should have used a subwoofer with high level inputs...that's the better way to go...you will eventually fry the amp in the Samsung wireless subwoofer...The SVS pro series has high level inputs...that's what I'm using.
Hey, thanks for sharing. I am in the process of doing the same thing. However, my powered sub is a high input (1000 watts), and since many have said that a LOC is not required for a high input sub, I am torn between surpassing the LOC or still using one. Please suggest. Thanks a ton in advance. My soundbar is samsung q950a and the powered is BIC America PL200-ii Version-2 1000 Watt
I have this working on my Klipsch R-12SW…It really does require a line level converter to convert from speaker wire taps on the Samsung to RCA in on the sub…I tried it both ways, with and without the converter…Without the converter the bass is bloated and muddy and I have to keep the gain below 1…With the converter the bass is clean, not bloated or muddy and I can increase the gain to 2-3…It makes sense to me that this solution would require a converter to get accurate bass reproduction.

@nh-tech, thanks. I dodged the LOC and wired directly to the powered sub. Unlike yours, the gain on the sub seems very versatile; I can turn it all the way up without it sounding muddy or boomy. It's fantastic. I hope nothing goes wrong with either amp.
It should be fine. I've been using it for over a month without any issues whatsoever. And I've done same for my other soundbar without any issues, too. I don't foresee any problems.
For the rear side speakers, ceiling speakers and subwoofer, at first thought, I was thinking their powerful will be reduce by half or more because they have been tap and share watts with each other. But after listening to those speakers, they sound very powerful too. It is very amazing. Why they are still sound so powerful? Isn’t it is like for example the USB power adapter stated 20 watts and has two changing port, if we charge one phone, it has the full 20 watts charge, but when we add another phone to charge, it is divide by half and provide 2 x 10 watts for both phones, isn’t it this way?
Your theory is correct. Some amps would struggle to adequately power parallel speakers due to the lower impedance, but not the amps in the Q990C. But the lower impedance lowers distortion and is usually louder, except the speakers can be a bit more power-hungry.
Can someone please tell this guys to download smart home for the Soundbar because it comes with more features than what we see on the remote. Bass enhancement, woofer lever and the bass itself. The best Soundbar ever.
I got my 990D last week and I absolutely agree- the sub is okay for movies but it's monotonous garbage for music. I have a couple of Dream Acoustics 12" subs that I'll be doing this to. Will just remove the board from the samsung sub entirely.
im confused.. you're tapping the powered line at the Samsung speaker but using it as the line in on the powered sub? isnt that supposed to be line level input not speaker level? thanks
Yeah, that's correct. It should be line level, but the only way to get that would be to open up the soundbar and tap the line that goes to the wireless transmitter. That's the easiest way to let most people destroy their system. Hence, this adaptation, which works great.
@@nh-tech’tapping’ the line won’t help, your still send hi level signal to the line level input of the new sub, best convert the signal to feed new sub
Is it possible to just disconnect the original samsung woofer en solder the samsung amp cables to the new sunwoofer? If thats possible, whats the best way to wire it? Thank you
You can do that, but the sound will not be good enough if you intend to power the New sub with just the Samsung subwoofer amp. The Samsung sub amp is not powerful enough to drive my 12-inch sub. You can, however, connect the Samsung amp cables to a high to low-level input converter, and connect RCA from the converter to your sub.
Hey my friend I have the 990c and I’m reverting my living room back to just a surround sound and soundbar setup because I had a full home theater system setup but had my receiver die on my so I decided I didn’t want to complicate things anymore and just wanted to go with the 990c. But I still wanted to use my 12” Klipsch, and this works like a charm!! I also disconnected the factory sub and just use the 12”. Sound is perfect and I can also control the sub level with the app
hi @deshawnmiller21, you mean you tap directly from the circuit board output (while the samsung subwoofer module speaker is been disconnected). also your 12” klipsch connected through high level input?
Thanks for the video! Exactly what I was looking for. Just a question... I'm going to buy the following model (R-12SWI) comes with 2.4Ghz wireless hi-fi pre-paired transmitter. Do you know if can I add the transmitter to the back of my Samsung Subwoofer connecting the wires out of the speaker to the transmitter? So I can get that wireless signal to a Klipsch Subwoofer?
Ok, I’m coming back after my first test with the setup and I just want to say woow! As an audiophile person is what I looking for! Thanks for your recommendation!
Dude. You really inspired me!! I’ve now ordered all the wires and wire splicing kit to add a second subwoofer and extra speakers!! 🎉. I’m kinda worried about the extra speakers over heating the factory Amps. But first I’m gonna add the second subwoofer via high level inputs!!! I’m looking at a couple 12” subs with high level inputs but I just got an email from svs about their new “sound path speaker level adaptor”!!!!! 🎉🎉. I really think you should get one and add it to your system to compensate for the high level inputs!!! 🎉🎉
Have you gotten this working?.. I bought the SVS sound Path adapter, I connected the speaker wire to the adapter (right side only) and connected the single Rca out of the adapter into the input on the sub.. Tried both LFE and right input on the sub and all i get is a slight hum and just barely any bass output. Wondering where I went wrong.
Nevermind.. it was my fault. I apparently moved one of the wires from the speaker terminals when I moved the Samsung sub into position. I made sure both negative and positive were reconnected and held it in with electrical tape and connected the speaker wire to the SVS adapter and from there a blue jeans shielded RCA cable to LFE and it almost works too well with Klipsch R-112SW.
@@christiank.8035 pretty much, but i soldered the wires to the speaker terminal. Also drilled a hole in the box and adding a 3.5mm female so i can easily unplug it
Please allow my one question, to make sure I understand everything correctly. The Samsung system is 656 W. The Subwoofer you chose has 200W continues and 400W Peak. One would think that this is working because the power specs of the Sub is less than the Samsung system. BUT, is it true that in theory the Sub could be ANYTHING, as in 3000 Watts continous and 4000 Watts Peak because it has ITS OWN amplifier and gets its power from the Wall anyways, Right? The "tap" as you call it, is ONLY to receive the Low Frequency INFORMATION from the Samsung Subwoofer and nothing power related. Right? Thanks in advance. I was thinking on adding a 14inch Sub.
That's right! The sub has its own amplifier and only receives sound signal from the Samsung system. As long as your sub is powered, you should be fine.
The LF info IS power, the more you turn it up, you drive speaker level power into the line level input, plus you have the sound of the crappy Samsung sub as well as the better sub. Just get one decent sub, like any pro installation.
@@dbefore7165 Would this be less of a concern adding a line level converter between the subwoofer output, and new powered sub input? I get it's a hack and not ideal, but for me personally my only complaint with this system is the weak subwoofer. The soundbar and surrounds are good enough (for now) for the price and minimalist aesthetic. I'm trying to avoid having to buy a dedicated LCR setup if I can help it.
You can, and it's almost the same thing I did, except I used the output in the sub and maintained the connection to the Samsung speaker for flexibility.
@@nh-techhave you tried it? i mean the samsung sub amp worked just fine w/o the subwoofer driver not connected and the circuit board output directly to the rca or high level input? i worry about the no-load (no speaker) connected to the samsung circuit board output.

You can get one of he older Klipsch subs like the R-12Sw or R-100 or the Sony SACS9 or the Polk XT12. You can get either of these for a bargain price if you look on eBay
Good suggestion. The reason I didn't use the converter is because I used the LFE input on the sub. Usually, a sub will treat the RCA connection as a full range stereo source. Since the signal coming to the Samsung sub is already filtered by the soundbar and is not full range stereo, then it wasn't necessary to convert it to low-level input.
You have done this incorrectly as many others have said, as you are going from hi level out to low level/ rca in…I just did this with my Samsung 990C sub last night but just ran speaker wire from the +/- on the Samsung woofer to the hi level inputs on a paradigm powered sub. You need to get a hi to low level converter or a sub with hi/ speaker level inputs to do this correctly.
Bro u did what i was imagining. But i was too scared to do so. Just wanted to know after this sub mod any issues. 3 months now u are using. I want to connect as u did 2nd subwoofer to my q990c. 2nd sub i have is 6 ohms will there be any issue.
There's been no issues so far. Everything is working great. If the new sub has an in-built amp, then it should work fine, but if it's passive, then you're better off using the Samsung amp to drive only the new sub.
I was thinking... can you try to use your creativity and see if there is any way to add a second pair of rear speaker? :) I mean, wouldnt it be great to have 4 rear ones, 2 placed to the side and 2 placed behind the listener? I know those are wireless? Would there be a way to "Tap" into those wireless signals their to another set of wireless speakers or even maybe use speaker cables after a "tap" to the second pair of speakers using cables? Im just thinking out loud... if anyone can do it its you 😊
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, that's something I can definitely explore. The Samsung rear speakers are already great, with three drivers each. Given that you're interested in a side firing speaker, then tapping into just the side driver would be best. It can easily be done with speaker wires. I'll explore all other possibilities and let you know.

But when it comes to surround, no matter what Samsung says... this system is a 5.1.2... speaker placement determines that... now if we can place the included speakers as Rear ones but "Tap" into the Side channel of them to place direct firing side speaker either with speaker cables a set of actual (not reflected) side speakers or with their own wireless Samsung SWA-9500S maybe? .. that would LEGIT make the system 7.1.2... or with all your tricks 7.2.2 :) let me find a video that might help you as you understand electronics ect...hold up

@@hunterjones9209because the two signals are aren’t the same and your changing the load on the amp. Either use a speaker to line level converter that also has the correct ‘ load’ for the Samsung amp, or remove the Samsung amp and put it in the better sub.
If I'm not mistaken, the factory data is for a 200w rms subwoofer. I think this would fill even a huge villa room. For example, it can make the couch vibrate while watching a movie. What was the difference with the method you used? By the way, I think the subwoofer cabinet was designed incorrectly.
@@rafars2246 I think the subwoofer box in the Samsung q990d model is designed incorrectly. Let's change the subwoofer unit so that the subwoofer and air outlet ports face us by taking the box in the svs pb16 ultra model as a reference, then we will get better quality bass sounds. For example, if the factory system vibrates the seat 7 units when a bomb explodes, this will reach 10 units after the cabinet change. The factory product has a wrong design with a subwoofer facing the side and an air port facing the wall from the back. In addition, since the box volume is small, it cannot create enough volume. In other words, there is no need to buy an additional subwoofer. Just change the box. I am in favor of the q990d being sufficient even in halls up to 100 m². Those who want more professional sound and cinema quality can create systems like real 5+1, 7+1, 7.1.2, 7.1.4 7.1.6. Those who prefer bass can buy 2 subwoofers, and the choice is up to them. But if I were to take myself as a reference, I have a 40 m² living room. The sound of the q990d is sufficient. I think it will be sufficient even if I move to a larger house in the future. But I always dream of professional systems.
@@hakansalihoglu I have no idea about design, but I will say the Samsung subwoofer is just plain small and it tries too hard to sound big. Terrible performance. I am buying another subwoofer for my q990c.

I don't think it's a good idea as the wires are hanging out of the sub, my kids would rip that a part lol. It sounded very bass heavy, perhaps you just had the bass level extra high so we could all hear it. When bass is set correctly, you won't hear it, the bass should blend into the music/movie.

i really want to go down this route as i am very disappointed with the bass coming from the q990c sub. should i get the klipsch r121 and a line level converter or should i get the svs pb1000 pro?
@rafars2246 it will be the same process, except you’ll connect the speaker wires to the “speaker level input” (either left or right) at the back of the SVS 1000 pro instead of the RCA connection. The rest of the process is the same.

Hello, thank you for your how-to video. I managed to configure it to work but the bass does sound boomy and muddy. I bought everything specified in your description and was wondering if someone can explain a fix for that
I suggest you reduce the bass level in the app or woofer level on your Samsung remote. I usually set it below zero. Also, check if the sub volume isn't too high. I have it less than a quarter of the sub volume. Hope that helps.

@NH-Tech Thanks SO much! I've been wanting to do this since I received my Q990C system last summer. A quick question. I have no need (or space) for 2 subwoofers. Would this hack work if I simply put the Samsung subwoofer's control board in a ventilated box (something like a mini ATX tower) and just disconnected it from its original woofer altogether?
@@AS-sc2jn Hey thanks for the reply. I ended up just doing a T-splice into the existing wires leading up to the terminals but good to know another way. That sounds more reversible if needed, hopefully I won't need to make any changes.
@@christiank.8035 Already closed everything back up but at 4:40 in the video there's a plug with red and black wires. Those lead to the Samsung speaker. Hi buddy, I love that you shared your mod with the community and explaind the process step by step ❤ I recently ordered 990c, and since I’m waiting for my 990c to be dispatched, watched a lot of reviews and videos and bumped on yours. I have zero knowledge with electronics, so I have two questions - if you could do something differently about the mod (let’s say money are not an issue), what would you change (except getting different speaker set LOL)?, what subwoofer model would you get, and why, and how would you connect it? Another question - can you just plug Klipsh directly to the soundbar, so basically replace samsungs inferior sub? Wouldn’t that be easier/better? Cheers!
Starting from your last question, yes, you can do that but you'll need to remove the amp module together with the wireless module from the Samsung sub and connect it directly to the speaker in the new sub. Given that my setup is working perfectly, I probably wouldn't change anything. Lol. The Klipsch is good, but I would probably get the SVS pro series with better quality, wider frequency range, and better controls.
@hunterjones9209 There is always some unassumed risk. Based on my hypothesis and experience, the risk of damage to the Samsung sub is almost nonexistent as long as the wiretapping is done well (not leaving naked wires), and the external sub is active (powered). The tap is a parallel connection, so resistance is low. I have tested my theory with another soundbar (Sony), and it is also working perfectly.
I feel like the people who complain about the bass of this soundbar are looking for either overpowering bass or don’t have the smart things soo and aren’t able to use all the features of the bar, like enhancing the bass and turning up the woofer. Or they are using it in a space that’s just too large, but then the entire soundbar would be struggling to fill that space….
Thanks for your comment, Alex. The bass suffers in large areas, especially those of us who use it in open concept homes. I would turn up the bass to +6, use bass boost in the app, changed location to a corner, and it was still lacking in music play. It was okay for movies, though!
1 subwoofer is a huge problem because you need 2 for smooth even bass yes you'll get more output but you can dial down the output on both subs he could of been sitting in a null where the sub was placed and by adding a second one could get rid of the null in that spot then you over driver the samsung sub because of the null and then the mids get all muddy up

You can use an RCA splitter 1 female to 2 male. You can check this out amzn.to/419EgG7. You could also use a high to low-level converter. Hope that helps!
You're going to destroy the Klipsch sub with the amplified level you're feeding it. You need something to convert that signal to line level before you can feed it into those RCA inputs on the sub. The reason your gain is all the way down is because you're overdriving on the input side.
Hello there! I am trying to do something similar, following the advice of some engineer friends. I bought a LOC Kicker KISLOC 2-Channel K-Series. However, I can see there are six wires with L and R channel(stereo), and I'm stuck on which ones to join/connect with the Samsung driver since it has only two connectors (positive and negative). Should I just use one channel as a mono and leave the rest unused? Please advice
@@Epikfl0 Eventually, I dodged the high to low level converter(LOC) because it turned out my powered sub was high-level input that can handle up to 1000 watts. So what I did was directly hook up speaker(16 gauge copper) wire to my new powered sub from the soundbar sub driver inside the cabinet, just like the video showed. My soundbar sounds like full stereo set up. It sounds fantastic, be it music or movies. If your new sub is high-level input, I suggest you leave the LOC. Ensure good speaker wire or good quality RCA is used.
Hi. Thanks for the great idea. I have the same sound bar but did the installation a bit diferent than what you did here. I used the same subwoffer imput from inside the samsung sub and plugged in a wire(speaker wire + ,-) from the samsung sub to my Klipsch SW350 subwoofer high line imput on the back. You can use only one Channel since they are both conected on the inside. This way you dont mess with the impedance or overheat the samsung subwoofer amp since the newly added Klipsch sub wont add or substract anything from its original load. Iine will only be used as a high level signal. Btw paid 30$ for the sub used on FB Marketplace and it turbed this soundbar into a Beast. Turned the bass all the way down to 40hz And the gain is at 1/4 volume. Anything more and it will rattle the windows next to the wall and or overpower the whole thing.
Nice, but should you not use a subwoofer using speaker output into a line level input. Best to buy a subwoofer with speaker level inputs. You are driving the subwoofer with high power going into the speaker feeding the Klipsch. Klipsch line level relies on low signal input to trigger the amp. You will blow the Kipsch. Best to get a speaker to line level converter. Just from what I remember when I use to fiddle with car stereos.
Yes and no. The Samsung amp is feeding the speaker; let us say 4 ohms. Depending on how the amp is designed, it may not be able to handle the higher/lower olms of adding another speaker (depending if you were to wire it in series or paraelle) into the chain. Though wiring in series + to - is USUALLY safe it will double the olms, y ou will have less amp ouput. Also the speakers will be out of phase (which maybe a good thing for bass) so have to be careful about bass cancellation so subwoofer placement will be more critical. @@sedrickransom6904

It could be a problem if the amplified signal was only going to the Klipsch. But because the Samsung speaker is drawing power from the amplified signal, it weakens the power going to the Klipsch.

Hi, Mr. Electronics Expert - the amp in the Samsung sub is rated 26W and you want me to use that to power a 400W driver? In another comment, you said to replace it with a new sub: from where? Do you realize you cannot just wirelessly pair another subwoofer to another soundbar? You again said that soundbars are not for large spaces: does that mean you shouldn't own a soundbar if you live in an open-concept floor plan? Better still, have you seen the Nakamichi shockwafe and Drangon? How about Sonos Arc, which allows for additional sub? I appreciate your concern, but what you know is not the only way. The basis for knowledge is so that you can think outside the box, when necessary.

@samyech889, it depends on the space. It may do well in smaller spaces but struggle in bigger spaces like an open concept house. There's no way my Samsung sub could achieve 20% of the bass the 12" Klipsch is outputting now after the modification.
That's adventurous! My advice is to use active (powered) speakers as the soundbar may not have enough power for passives.

Great work on expanding the availablility of additional bass. The only issue I see here is if there is any processing from the amp used to tune the frequency response of the original sub. The cross over on the Klipsch can help but I wonder if this will affect the bass response of the added sub.
Yeah, I'm wondering how it will effect Adaptive mode.
Don't you need a speaker level input for the new subwoofer since there is no LFE output from the samsung sub?

how do i connect from the samsung sub to high level input?
I have this working on my Klipsch R-12SW…It really does require a line level converter to convert from speaker wire taps on the Samsung to RCA in on the sub…I tried it both ways, with and without the converter…Without the converter the bass is bloated and muddy and I have to keep the gain below 1…With the converter the bass is clean, not bloated or muddy and I can increase the gain to 2-3…It makes sense to me that this solution would require a converter to get accurate bass reproduction.
Hi, nice feedback, thanks you.

You don't need the LOC for your sub, unless you intend to use the low input on the sub instead
@nh-tech, thanks. I dodged the LOC and wired directly to the powered sub. Unlike yours, the gain on the sub seems very versatile; I can turn it all the way up without it sounding muddy or boomy. It's fantastic. I hope nothing goes wrong with either amp.

Thank you, and congratulations on your new soundbar. The upgrade is totally worth it. Cheers 🍻

Yes, I added it to my new soundbar. As long as you don't mind voiding your warranty, it should be fine
I don’t care about warranty i just want to know if it is good in long run like would be there any issues in future after couple months?
It should be fine. I've been using it for over a month without any issues whatsoever. And I've done same for my other soundbar without any issues, too. I don't foresee any problems.
This video is a big help! You are a genius mate many thanks.
@@nh-techsounds like you’ve finally read up on impedance, but the tiny Samsung amps will struggle as they can’t dissipate the heat and are cheap
Can someone please tell this guys to download smart home for the Soundbar because it comes with more features than what we see on the remote. Bass enhancement, woofer lever and the bass itself. The best Soundbar ever.
Nice work. Could you disconnect the Samsung subwoofer entirely and just use the Klipsch? Maybe make a 3D printed enclosure?
Yes, you can disconnect the Samsung sub by removing the wire that connects the board to the speaker, but I don't think it's necessary.
The end of the speaker cable that you did not strip has 2 RCA plugs on it, but, you only plugged 1 into the Klipsch. where is the other one?
What if just use the wireless module or transmitter from the Samsung subwoofer to another subwoofer?
It's possible but a little complex. Isolating the wireless module will be a cumbersome process, and most people do not have the tools to do that
Big help. Worked perfect!
You can, however, connect the Samsung amp cables to a high to low-level input converter, and connect RCA from the converter to your sub.

any update on this?
@christiank.8035 I ordered the svs sound path speaker adapter and it comes in Friday.. I'll reply again after this weekend after I give it a try

@@rafars2246 From what i've heard most of the Room EQ is for the bass frequencies
@@nh-tech thank you so much for your reply and for sharing your knowledge man ! Very cool of you! Have a good one!
It is great modification but i think you need high level to low level audio converter
You can do that if you have high level input in subwoofer
Good suggestion. The reason I didn't use the converter is because I used the LFE input on the sub. Usually, a sub will treat the RCA connection as a full range stereo source. Since the signal coming to the Samsung sub is already filtered by the soundbar and is not full range stereo, then it wasn't necessary to convert it to low-level input.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, that's something I can definitely explore. The Samsung rear speakers are already great, with three drivers each. @@hakansalihoglu you said "I think the subwoofer cabinet was designed incorrectly."
You didn't stated which cabinet is designed incorrectly.

I ordered the Q990c too, havent received it yet. came to $1200 with tax. can I ask how much u paid?
@@michael-4k4000 I paid $615 before tax
So does this mean that the original 990C sub and the klipsch sub both work together? I’m not familiar with tapping.
Yes, both of them are working together, although the Klipsch puts out about 80% of the bass.
@@nh-techAnd is it safe to do? Is there a chance that it’ll damage the samsung sub?
@hunterjones9209 There is always some unassumed risk. Based on my hypothesis and experience, the risk of damage to the Samsung sub is almost nonexistent as long as the wiretapping is done well (not leaving naked wires), and the external sub is active (powered). The tap is a parallel connection, so resistance is low. I have tested my theory with another soundbar (Sony), and it is also working perfectly.
@@nh-techdo you understand ohms law? And that the Samsung module is engineered for the original woofer?
@@nh-tech’tapping’ lol. Clueless
@@nh-techsound bars aren’t made for large areas, separates are
1 subwoofer is a huge problem because you need 2 for smooth even bass yes you'll get more output but you can dial down the output on both subs he could of been sitting in a null where the sub was placed and by adding a second one could get rid of the null in that spot then you over driver the samsung sub because of the null and then the mids get all muddy up

Yes, you can disable it, since the Samsung sub will not be adding much if you’ve added a new and more powerful sub
Get the review out buddy
I will, very soon!
just fill with polyfill it will make the difference for deeper bass
I would also like to connect my second xtz 12 Inc subwoofer but it doesn't have lfe input but only stereo RCA how can I do it thanks and sorry for my school English.
Yes, just use one channel as a mono
@@MattZim101Howd your mod go? I am thinking of going the same route with the same high to low level converter.
@@MattZim101 what is considered a high level input subwoofer?
Turned the bass all the way down to 40hz
And the gain is at 1/4 volume.
Anything more and it will rattle the windows next to the wall and or overpower the whole thing.
do you have a picture of this?
Samsung b650 is amazing for movies and music for only $499
Nice, but should you not use a subwoofer using speaker output into a line level input.
So if the Klipsch sub has a High Level Input, everything should be fine?
Ok. Thanks!
Thanks,
Im a bass lover and Samsung is not good on it but with this add you just fucking make it happens....
The Samsungs fine, it’s designed to playback cinema reference audio, not bass boosted music. Buy a big stereo with some bass bins
I dont understand about audio, here goes the dumb question: dont u need an amplifier for using both sub's with full power?
The Klipsch sub is (active) powered, so no extra amplification is needed.
@@nh-tech thanks ^^
I'm a little confused, it looks like you're connecting the Klipcsch rca wire to an already amplified signal - at the Samsung's Driver? @@nh-tech Would this cause issues for Klipsch's amp? Cheers
It could be a problem if the amplified signal was only going to the Klipsch. But because the Samsung speaker is drawing power from the amplified signal, it weakens the power going to the Klipsch.
Thanks for your reply! :)
how does it sound with the samsung sub unplugged?
Samsung HW-Q930C or JBL Bar 5.1?

This mod is wrong on ever level, please get a basic grasp of electronics and just swap the amp module from the Samsung with the new sub, that’s how it’s done
