Samsung HW Q990C VS Bose Smart Ultra 900 FIGHT!!! Which one Wins?

- This is an Epic Battle Between the Newest Contender from Samsung and Bose Soundbar. I will be Unboxing the Samsung Q990c and comparing it to the Bose Smart Ultra 900.

I do have same bose setup plus surrounding speakers and I can tell it's given me outstanding cinematic experience, wonderful clear sound and fantastic bass. Thanks for comparison I was going to buy Samsung buy I've changed my mind and I'm glad I did

I had the Bose Soundtouch 300, then the Bose Smart Soundbar 700 and finally the 900 with Atmos and I have to say I am absolutely disappointed with the 900. It sounds almost identical to the 700. There is no mention of Atmos. Nothing can be heard from above. For me this is not an Atmos soundbar but a slightly better 700. I will sell it now and try the new Samsung q990D. If the Atmos effects are not audible then I will probably buy a good old amplifier with Atmos and matching speakers.
I returned the bose smart 900, and kept the samsung q990c. What I'll say is if you like a good all round sound system, with banging Dolby atmos, without getting a full amplifier setup, and not breaking the bank, the samsung q990c is the best system you can get. However, the base on low volume leaves a lot to be desired.

I couldn't make out the TV you're using. If it's a Samsung TV that supports it, make sure you are enabling Q-Symphony for the best experience. It makes a pretty big difference. Probably a good idea too to run SpaceFit Sound, and try Adaptive sound, especially late at night - oh, and turn on Bass enhancement if you have a Samsung or a similar option on whatever TV you're using. EQ settings, too, I imagine you might want to mess with those for music. Seems like this is mostly an "out of the box" comparison.
Nice review. I have the Bose Ultra Soundbar with the 700 base and 700 rear speakers. The rear speakers really add some good sound effects and like you said, the AI sound feature makes voices clear even in heavy action scenes.

Through my headphones, I could hear a lot more detail from the Bose. It also sounded fuller.

@simon8129 thanks for watching. I think if you watch a lot of movies, then you should leave the AI dialogue mode on.
As for the Google assistant, the one I bought had it, I'm not sure about the units sold outside of the US.

Both are great choices, but my preference is the hw q990c, which is what I currently have
The bose 900 and bose ultra are slightly different soundbars...
Boss is a sound company first before anything else. Samsung is everything else then sound company. Only a few beat Bose.
Agreed. But this particular samsung beats bose, and undercuts the price as well

I agree with you, but when it comes to the samsung q990c, you can't sleep on it. It's a great all rounder.
And costs 3x more lol it's just scam dude!
