sorry i think something is not right here... high level output from orig subwoofer speaker is too much to be directly connected to the LFE input of the extra subwoofer...will this fry the extra sub? is it to be connected to the high input of the extra sub if it has one ? or connect a step down gadget to convert to low level signal before it is directly connected to the LFE input of the extra sub.... just my thoughts here

So, instead I would suggest buying a digital decoder (HD Audio Rush $35), and connect the digital audio out from the TV to the decoder. Now connect the SW out to your sub LFE input. You can run the Samsung Sub along with the non-Samsung sub or just use the new sub. I’m using a ML Dynamo 1000 with the Samsung Q990D connected to a Samsung QN900D.

For those watching. Connecting wire to speaker is connecting to powered output, not line output. If your sub doesn't have a connection for powered input, you need a powered to line output module in between or it will never sound right and you probably end up turning down the subwoofer power with Q990C powering both (not good)

where is the sleep mode in this unit, even when turned off the car, this unit will draw battery, do you know how to 100% turned off this unit?

Pretty much every reviewer is hyping up the Samsung q990 soundbar, so I picked one up. It is easily the most disappointing soundbar I’ve ever heard, it’s not the worst, it’s just mediocre (but the most disappointing because of all the hype). The height effects are decent, but otherwise it was like listening to a muffled muddy mess. If not for the height there would be no immersion at all. The bass is almost non existent and it feels like half the overall sound is missing from all the speakers (as far as range of sounds). Not sure what to get to replace it but I’ve now learned I can’t count on the reviews to help me decide. Perhaps this is the solution, thank you!

For anyone that has done this, have you confirmed that your new sub gets the full frequency range from the speaker wires? Seems like the built in Samsung amp would also have a crossover built into it somewhere to protect the samsung sub from signals that are too low. I'm just worried that if i buy a new sub that goes down to 16 hz that it wouldn't get a signal to go down that low because the samsung crossover cuts off the frequencies in the high 20 hz range.

the old HUR is better for wireless AA... this new one needs the wifi launcher app, which is another point for confusion.

Just from initial impressions one is ported in bigger enclosure and the other is more than likely sealed i could be wrong though either way the 121 is freaking awesome at the $299 I paid i freaking love it

Well can show the other subwoofer how you put the wires ? because on this 1st samsung subwoofer you didnt saw where you go with the receiver . its only paring but where the cable goes from trasmitter? Samsung subwoofer dont have any options in the back only the power enter "port" to connect to power on or off. Or you pair it with TV? the transmitter? or ? can make a video "a short one" to understand the other part how you put the cable in the back? The 100% its put only for 1st subwoofer klipsch.

If your living in a flat just turn it down the vast majority of the time, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, although I would ague with you that for movies a lower frequency response is not about hearing it, it's about feeling it so a low frequency response for movies is a selling point.

I picked up 2x R120 for half the price the 121 would cost. Not much difference in sound quality, I preffer the mesh on the sub so I dont care for astethics.

Great idea. T-tap is garbage. They come loose. Especially in speakers that vibrate. You should disconnect the original side drivers and the t-tap. Then the new ones you added will sound much louder.

Hello I just ordered the Rockville from Amazon and gonna use your video to install it in my 22 atlas. My question is, does the subwoofer turn on and off automatically with the car or do you have to do it manually?

I got my 990D last week and I absolutely agree- the sub is okay for movies but it's monotonous garbage for music. I have a couple of Dream Acoustics 12" subs that I'll be doing this to. Will just remove the board from the samsung sub entirely.
