Worth noting that the Thief reference to Constantine... is right next to a spiraling corridor that is taken straight from the level "The Sword" in Thief 1. In fact, the game uses a number of almost exact geometry copies of parts of levels from the games that inspired it. Gotta love the developer's attention to detail.
I like the "lighting technician" Andrew Hulshult reference, one of the best gaming metal music composers alive. Also, how many times does the treasure hunter find "YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE, GO AWAY"? Nevermind, 7 times.
Sometimes amazing stuff makes it into these games, it really shows the appreciation between the community and the developers, it's almost like it's made by gamers who care about the community instead of a company that solely cares about the cash. Props to New Blood, they made something that's on par if not better than the best old school 90's shooters.

If you played a lot of 90's shooters you'd know where a lot of this stuff comes from. There were parts that had vibes of Doom 1+2, Doom 64, Blood, Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, Quake 2.... I could go on, there is too many to list.
This game was a fucking masterpiece. This and Ion Fury are quite possibly by favorite physical game purchases in years. So glad that they came out on Switch

Chances are if you didn't know that you'd figure it out on the final level because the cultists usually kill Jacob and that outer god can't be killed so you're likely to get the pacifist thing on that level. I think thats an interesting bit of design there. Granted it does say it in loading screen tips but if you never end up seeing that somehow the game does shoe you at the end so on a repeat playthrough if you wanted to you could go for pacifist in every level

The name of E1M6 "The Cutty Mine" is also a reference to Thief: The Dark Project. Cutty being the fence that Garrett must break out of prison in the second level and said prison is built on top of an abandoned mine.

Before entereing arena to boss fight with Big John on a left side is area behind wall with crustal of madness and teleport. I didn't figured out how to get there. Does anyone know how to get there?
I love how most of these seem to just be the developers fucking around, making mistakes or doing stupid shit then leaving it in the game. The tiny boss is likely a scaling issue they ran into with the character model, then they kept it and made it into a joke. I guarantee you the baby room was somebody being an asshole, making a mini series of rooms with a texture of their new baby all over it, one of their DUSK colleagues probably saw it and said "delete this", clearly he/she didn't XD Then there's the Super Hot room, they were probably like "hey, I wonder if we can rig up a room's logic to work like Super Hot, let's give it a try".
On E3M7 Homecoming if you go to “your house” by the garage with the blue key. If you interact with the gas can by the sink at low health you get teleported away from the map, then the game crashes. Jakobs laugh can be heard also while doing this. Idk if you have to be at 15 health exactly to trigger it but it’s inconsistent and takes a few tries. You can esc key while you’re trapped but before it crashes. Not sure if an easter egg or what. Edit: just rapidly press use or E to pick up the gas can Edit: just shake your crosshair rapidly over the gas can. I’m dumb
The message "Press E to live again" when you die is probably a reference to Blood, where Caleb's (the protagonist) first line is "I live... again"
