You got Overlord all wrong, probably because you haven't read the novels. The Sorcerous Kingdom is not ruled by fear, and everyone who comes to know Ainz personally is surprised by how human he is. Ainz's plan for his domains is one of inclusivity (all races are welcome and equal under Nazarick's flag), equality (all are equal under Nazarick's flag), and fair labor (he was an exploited salaryman and doesn't want it upon others [yes, he says ipsis literis that he doesn't want to create a nation in which people suffered like Herohero]). About diplomacy, The Sorcerous Kingdom is not so aggressive as the video says. The Draconic Kingdom, Empire, and Sacred Kingdom were treated fairly when it comes to diplomacy (not so much when it comes to espionage and intelligence). The only country that got the short end of the stick until now was the kingdom, and not even so much by Ainz's choice. And as a final nail on the coffin, Jura Tempest basically did the same with the kingdom that invaded them. If not by the fact that Nazarick seeks world domination (Demiurgus idea plus hands forced by the Theocracy), their international relations would be pretty much the same. On a different note, when it comes to politics and the relations between people, groups, and nations, Tensura's world is more of a fantasy, while Overlord's is realist to the extreme. The upbeat, nice guy attitude of Rimuru simply wouldn't work in a world like that of Overlord. Unfortunately that's how states and nations work.

If Ainz ruled like rimuru he would have 100% or very likely be killed and suffered a lot before that. Before I answer “how I would rule if I got Isekai’d into another world where I was powerful enough to make serious decisions to change it”, I would have to determine my current situation and survive while investigating exactly how I came to be there first. I would be forced to start thinking critically and not throw anything out of the question. My circumstances can be the result of some freak cosmic event, Divine intervention, aliens playing some sick joke, a delusion of epic proportions, or I’m in the matrix and always have been and I just experienced the settings change while being aware of it. After going through an existential crisis and serious self reflection if I was still sane I would just focus on investigating the meaning of my own existence first and foremost and not just wave off such an experience like it’s no big deal like every other anime protagonist. If I ever do discover the reason and purpose of that and why I was isekai’d in the first place if there was one I would first determine exactly what kind of world I ended up in and figuring out a way to either survive there or return home. I would need to start learning of that world’s nations and people’s history/politics, geography, philosophy, moral ethics, culture, art, currency system, laws, regulations, religions, sociology, military power, current civilization level based off the Kardashev scale, water sources, edible foods, dangerous diseases, dangerous animals, dangerous beings other than humans, anything I have no prior experience with such as magic/the force/etc, and if I can even blend in. After all that I would have to determine if I even cared about that world outside of having to adapt to live in it. They’re moral ethics are a big issue here for me, if they’re trash, extremely dangerous, perverse, exclusive for certain groups of people, driven by extremely questionable sources, or worse than all non-existent, then I would just let that world burn. Trying to change how people think about things that are right and wrong is extremely time consuming and pointless if their people are stubborn or just plain stupid. I wouldn’t want to rule over a bunch of cave men, savages, ideological radicals, deprave religious zealots, or fools, I have standards. If they meet my standards of even peaking any interest in going out of my way to make me want to rule them I would go about it more like Ainz than Rimuru. Ainz’s own methods are far more realistic when dealing with other beings with free will. Rimuru’s is far too idealistic and dependent on other people having the same mindset as him which is impossible in real life. Not to say Rimuru isn’t a good leader it’s just that I know his circumstances and ability, and they are not very translatable to most situations. In our own history the French and Russian Revolutions come to mind, the English civil wars, the current wars in the Middle East, the Chinese civil wars, Nobunaga’s attempt to unify Japan, the Korean-Japanese War, Spain’s conquest of the new world, Islam’s rise to power, The Mongols, and even the American Revolution. Other people in real life aren’t as “go with flow” like the people in Tempest, even if it’s for the betterment of all, because of greed.
Inaccurate on many many points on the overlord part. And yes I would go in ainz’s kingdom over rimuru’s safer more peaceful and I can actually rise up the ranks if I have my memories and much more
The Sorcerer Kingdom prospers because the people find that despite the fear he inspires, the Overlord is a benevolant leader. The Tempest Federation prospers because enemies find that despite his benevolince, the Slime can easily inspire fear. If I found myself isakaied with overwhelming power, I wouldn't seek to rule at all. I would find a leader who was wiser than me to put my power to good use.
Good luck with that. Some leaders or people around them may try to exploit you for their own selfish agendas. If you don't want to rule fine but I think it would be a much better idea for you to be independent
The fundamental difference is rimuru emotions are there even after his reincarnation where Aniz's emotion kind surpressed every time he get emotions it can seen form the first few episodes
both rule with an iron fist slime just is less aggressive they overthrow like 4 kingdoms in the story and the point of the demon lord moniker is to direct the humans hatred towards hating them and fighting them so the angles don't destroy everything and everyone. they turned people into meat cubes and soon millions of people are going to die in a war against him in the anime and he takes control over almost all facets of the i guess deep state that really controls the countries with the Primark's just like ainzs did with the fingers. main difference is ainz doesn't care if he is a villain you can also say rimiru is more likely to share his advancements with others vs ainz wants to keep his to himself. the biggest argument that you could make of the differences is ainz doesn't care if he kills innocent people vs slime does but even ainz is trying to limit his subordinates to tone it down also due because he doesn't want to also but just like slime he will fight anyone who threatens his friends or nation. ainz will kill everyone involved vs slime will only kill the higher ups and soldiers
I agree to some extent, though on a sidenote; Their Casus Belli (the justification for war) is very different. Rimuru genuinly responds in self defence, where Ainz usually causes the war himself.
@@dyslexicLLM I would argue that's more of an argument of his suborantats doing then ainz himself. you also need to take into consideration of the states of the worlds they they are in. ainz is in a world were yearly wars are common and the people are more used to and excepting of the action of killing hundereds vs slimes world that for most part is at peace except for the active fighting the demon lord and most of the races he rules over are willing like slime hasnt had to face some kingdoms delcairing ownership of parts and other heavy politicalized and international conflicts. like why the kingdom was destroyed was not his plan for the kingdom at first it was going to turn out like rimirus plan for the kingdom that the adventure took over wich was cause them unrest till a civil war happend then they would come in and take over it wasnt till philips actions that they did change and cause the war. the biggest issue that all this brings up is who is the agressor like i stated was the biggest difference along with innocence. here is another thing the downfall of the kingdom and other things in that matter was mainly came up with the princess and demi. just because slime is more welcoming then ainz they are still about the same as a ruler and share many similar veiws on how to rule. granted it gets worse at time goes on and he looses more pacience dealing with the world and its affairs then their might be a better argument then like as soon after as the dog looking race and the dragons that they had one chance to submit or die but those under him he takes care of and provides for as a ruler. If you pay attention to how wars happen in overlord he doesnt typcaly cause wars he is just ruithless when there is a war he openly invites anyone of any race to join him and live in the worlds equivelent to a utopia with so many benifits that arent found anywere.

Rimururu also consistently hamstrung his top fighters for the benefit of humans ...
power is great to control the strong and peace is used to control the weak and rimuru use both of that aspect by giving benefits does who follows and cut of those who doesn't literally 💀
Rimuru's method is more exhausting but I'd probably aim for something like that. It'd take longer since I'm lazy, and I imagine being an ageless species like a slime would only serve to exacerbate that particular trait.
I think the main difference is that Ainz considers npc characters as transactional and worthless if they are not from his guild or guild members. He cherishes them the most . To him it’s just a game is he is way too op. The slime however would rather not kill but will do so to save or resurrect his ppl . Slime has to use diplomacy cuz he is not the top dog yet . He uses charm and kindness to get his message across to other nations. Ainz is soooo op and with no threat other real players t in the system he feels safe doing so. But yes her is always on the lookout for world items that only real players have access to
I think each style of ruling works because the world that both protagonists are in require it. Rimuru is diplomatic sure but the world he is in is more fair and understanding, while Ainz is more brutal definitely but that's because the world he is in is far more cruel and unforgiving. Both systems work in their world because the worlds they are in allow that way of ruling to prosper. To ask which is better depends on a lot of factors, more then what was given in the video, and even though this video was HEAVILY BIASED toward Rimuru, it still doesn't mean that his way of ruling would be better overall. It's like comparing apples to oranges. They are similar enough to have some comparisons but are overall different enough that to argue which is better would just be up to personal taste rather then actual logic.
Which nation will survive the death of its founder? Both have more nuance, but let's simplify them for the sake of comparison. Leaders inspire and their influence lasts centuries, while rulers quickly become history. Besides Rimarus approach seems less stressful. For everyone.
I like the idea behind this question but their circumstances while similar had differences that matter. Let's say we're strictly talking anime. Ainz was fortunate to have subordinates from the getgo but that's about it, everything else in the world was out to get him. Where as rimaru was the opposite, he started out with nothing but generally speaking the world around him was very giving. Later down the line they're pretty similar super powerful kindoms, and they seem to be akin to our historical monarchies in a more idealized form. I don't think I'd really have a preference if given the choice between who to let rule over me, rimaru maybe but only because the setting as a whole is more pleasant and forgiving. Less because one ruler is "better" than the other.
This video feels like a very surface read of Overlord. Even if you never read the LNs, there is so much more to the anime that you just either missed, or glossed over after deciding that you had a perfect grasp of it. Others have already mentioned the things you've missed, or mischaracterized about Overlord, much better than I, so I hope you'll read those comments. tl;dr: your bias is showing.
Can anybody tell me the name of what movie or game the clips from the slime isekai is from because I've never seen most of those clips before & I've seen all the seasons so far & watched 2 of its movies but never seen some of those clips
I’d rule like a mix anarch capitalist and work for what you want so if you want to make a sword you either pay someone to get the materials and you make it or do it all yourself and the nation would go on 3 things for most of the time 1. Militarism (to make sure nobody does anything stupid to my people/nation) 2. Self reliance (from nation wide to individual self reliance on most things) 3. Industrialism (if the setting allows for it and if not then just the first two and some others smaller things that would and/or could make sense) 👌❓😎
No nooo you got it all wrong sorcerer kingdom and tempest only have one difference 1st that ainz lived in 22nd century where politicians and society is ass and the environment is fucked up while children are abandoned on streets where you can not breathe without some expensive equipment to breathe and are even forced in child labor and cheep prostitution Rimuru on other hand live in a peaceful world and even then he got stabed 😂 and just imagine living in 100x worse condition for ainz it was normal life Hence there ideology of ruling is different 2nd there kingdoms only have one difference that is sorcerer kingdom is expansionist while tempest is a reserved country otherwise its pretty similar like Diablo and demiurge would have field day talking about there gods😂 and i also find this funny that both ainz and rimuru names were suzuki saturo and both are actually troubled by ruling there country rimuru has it easy because of Raphael while ainz has to constantly worry about how to stop his subordinates from killing children and stop making happy farms 😂😂
I didn't understand the question, So let me tell you about my thoughts on this, if I were to be the mc of this worlds becoming rimuru tempest or AINZOWLGOAN it is really hard choice to make because I want ainzs kind of fear dominant and power and also rimurus happy nation a utopia, i had thought about both characters before thousands of times on every idea about them any random Ideas or thoughts and rimuru tempest will become a 5th true dragon in tensura world a most powerful being in tensura while ainz is not going to level up anymore he is stuck on level 💯 the only thing I want to do is just merge their nation kingdom and federation, and fuse rimuru tempest and AINZOWLGOAN together just like dragon Ball fusion technique that would be very cool, there is so much i think about like so much sorry for this boring comment.
Not a reader of the light novels but ainz lost 1 person to my knowledge under his command. Reimaru lost 1/2 his kingdom. ( of course both got them back under back door logic, )
In my humble opinion. This anime shows two character or leader thrown to another world. Rimuru was thrown in to an Anime world which is still fantasy. Ainz was thrown in to real world the true reality of human behavior, don't know about monster behavior but for debate sake let's assume monster as wild animal behavior. So Ainz was thrown in a real world with real human and animal behavior. Rimuru was thrown into a fantasy world where all behavior is predictable.
Ainz rimuru pissed me off he defeated clayman gave milum everything if I'm correct she gained clayman, harpy kingdom and beast kingdom ainz would have kept Clayman territory

Rimuru has nicer friends then ainz I wouldnt trust that lyches servants at all
This video feels like a very surface read of Overlord.
7:19 i am the shadow
I’d rule like a mix anarch capitalist and work for what you want so if you want to make a sword you either pay someone to get the materials and you make it or do it all yourself and the nation would go on 3 things for most of the time
1. Militarism (to make sure nobody does anything stupid to my people/nation)
2. Self reliance (from nation wide to individual self reliance on most things)
3. Industrialism (if the setting allows for it and if not then just the first two and some others smaller things that would and/or could make sense) 👌❓😎
You should have read the novel version before making this video. Your theory about Aniz for 70% is all wrong.
where talking about one who make peace with everyone, and one who makes people into pieces
you know if ainz and rimuru to switch body they would have done the same as other cause everything happened because the circumtanses demanded it
I wouldn rather go for power and order its more efficient
No nooo you got it all wrong sorcerer kingdom and tempest only have one difference 1st that ainz lived in 22nd century where politicians and society is ass and the environment is fucked up while children are abandoned on streets where you can not breathe without some expensive equipment to breathe and are even forced in child labor and cheep prostitution
Rimuru on other hand live in a peaceful world and even then he got stabed 😂 and just imagine living in 100x worse condition for ainz it was normal life
Hence there ideology of ruling is different
2nd there kingdoms only have one difference that is sorcerer kingdom is expansionist while tempest is a reserved country otherwise its pretty similar like Diablo and demiurge would have field day talking about there gods😂 and i also find this funny that both ainz and rimuru names were suzuki saturo and both are actually troubled by ruling there country rimuru has it easy because of Raphael while ainz has to constantly worry about how to stop his subordinates from killing children and stop making happy farms 😂😂
I'd say that depends on the universe they're on. We know the extent of Rimuru's Universe while Ainz is still yet to be fully unravelled.
to me i pick both of them
i will always pick to follow ainz. rimuru is a weak mary sue mc who lets anyone walk over him, he cant even stand up for himself
I didn't understand the question,
So let me tell you about my thoughts on this, if I were to be the mc of this worlds becoming rimuru tempest or AINZOWLGOAN it is really hard choice to make because I want ainzs kind of fear dominant and power and also rimurus happy nation a utopia, i had thought about both characters before thousands of times on every idea about them any random Ideas or thoughts and rimuru tempest will become a 5th true dragon in tensura world a most powerful being in tensura while ainz is not going to level up anymore he is stuck on level 💯 the only thing I want to do is just merge their nation kingdom and federation, and fuse rimuru tempest and AINZOWLGOAN together just like dragon Ball fusion technique that would be very cool, there is so much i think about like so much sorry for this boring comment.
Did ainz lost any one under him ? Though I like Rimura more, i wouldn't want to work under someone who fock up and let his underling die
They both did.
Not a reader of the light novels but ainz lost 1 person to my knowledge under his command. Reimaru lost 1/2 his kingdom. ( of course both got them back under back door logic, )
Rimuru all the away
what are you yapping about, Ainz ruled over the country by law and fairness
who is rumuru? you mean limur i guess
This is as false as it gets...
Title should be: Shemale YT's likes rimuru over Overlord
Rimuru is trash.
Hmm👀
Happy farm
Ohhh c'mon man there is no comparison between them, rimuru is far superior than ainz, I appreciate your work but please it's kinda insult for rimuru character 😢, thanks
