I believe AINZ got a mussive buff in the new world. Hear me out. The 8 Greed kings used the world item "5 Elements overcoming" to change the magic system. We have multiple occurences of this: 1) Deathknights can now take over a corpse to become permanent 2) Summoners can now summon monsters BEYOND their level. This is explicitly confirmed in Chapter 16 when Dwcem Hyugem summons the primal earth elemental. Ainz specifically remarks that should not be possible. Ainz can probably summon undead that were previously not possible.
True, dear knight lords are such examples. They're essentially an evolved death knight. Probably lesser then a crypt lord but still legendary then the rest, maybe similar to night liches
I'll be honest I've spent more time investing in Overlord lore than I have spent watching the show, and I watched everything twice. Thanks for the content it really scratches an itch.
I personally find the depth of Overlords lore the most interesting part, and considering how much cut content there is, I can't really blame you. I've definitely done the same, still love the show but its the lore that makes it such an interesting franchise.
I think you missed one. It was only mentioned briefly, but there's also a summon called Grim Reaper Thanatos. There aren't many details about it, but it's a level 90 summon that's in a similar tier as Overlord Wiseman, the two are regarded to be of equal power.
4:17 I like how we could see this when Azuth shot the Death Knight at that port town. The bullet went straight through its head but it was still standing since it had that ability
1.If I remember correctly, Shalltear even suggested having the newly acquired dragons pick up and drop Soul Eaters over the Re-Estize capital, with the theory that any fall damage they sustain would be healed immediately due to how weak the general population is and how quickly the passive debuff would kill them. The plan being shot down, not brcause it was bad, but because there were just too many logistical problems as well as the ridiculousness of seeing Soul Eaters dropping from the sky lol 2. Something I found interesting is that, whereas Skeleton Wizard>Lich>Elder Lich>Overlord is an actual potential progression for the Undead, there's nothing about the Death Knights. Which seems very odd since they're an actual class in D&D , the main inspiration for Overlord, and have been pretty popular since Warcraft and WoW brought them into the mainstream (to the point where even other fantasy franchises have attempted to add their own versions). Yet, as far as I know there's nothing mentioned about them being a class in Overlord's world. Just something I noticed.
I love the idea of the first one though, just seeing Soul Eaters falling from the sky. It is a great and effective strategy though, Shalltear's grown so much from the days she didn't have the insight to use life essence. I don't recall anything about the death knight progression either. I suppose they just wanted to make them summons and expand on them with a death series. The death knights being Ainz's go-to summon means they make more mention than if it was just a class I suppose.
yeah ainz didn’t shoot down the first idea in fact she used it on a town and when it didn’t go very well he had her make plans on how to improve it, even if the strategies weren’t all insanely effective he wanted to try as much as possible to learn from it
I wish we saw more summoners in the show. Honestly imo all these summons seem quite weak to me, unless Ainz can summon multiple of the high levels at once. Which we haven't really seen.
The doom lord doesn’t naturally leak negative energy, it was doing so in the PDL fight since pandoras actor summoned it quickly rather than doing so in the “proper manner” ruinous knight still causes the leaking though
Very nice builds. It's a little jarring to see someone called Amenadiel and their servants be good or neutral but equally that's part of the charm of the characters. Demiurge may disapprove though. The builds themselves are really cool though and really define their job roles. Just casually bringing a world champion into being :)
Managed to fi the computer and complete this video. The computers broken again but hopefully it will fix itself by next week. Shouldn't be as big a delay regardless.
Wait isn't there a summon called death god Thanatos? I heard there is one in the Ainz catalog of the summons; if you remember from memory, it is about level 90 and requires xp to summon it.
Summoners seem weak tho since their highest are level 90s. Sure in a 1v1 they could summons Undead Wisemen (lvl90), Undead Thanatos (lvl90) and Star Elemental (lvl90) turnjng it into a 4v1, level differences are massive. The lvl 100 may struggle a bit but should be able to mid diff the 90s leaving a summoner screwed
Ains can quite heavily buff his undead summons so in theory overlord wiseman or thanatos could be buffed to cause a decent problem to lvl 100 alongside him also ains can only summon either the overlord wiseman or thanatos
Any chance you will cover Corpus of the Abyss and who this new enemy is? some people think because of the alt timeline its XXdragon lord still while others claim he's dead and its DD lord.
Thank you for this video. I hope you also included those guardians that has powerful summons too like albedo (though its a mount? )... Im sure no one in the new world that can summon powerful beings that is significantly compareble to ainz and the guardians... Also any thoughts zesshi or pdl can match summons of ainz from elementals, dark young and up?

Decem can summon higher lvl elemental than he is because he is specialize of summoning, if he from yggdrasil that might be rare or special job class
Doesnt explain the permanent death knights tough

not a skill summon but a item summon fam

Thank you very much for your work. The lore of overlord is so layered we can go down a rabbit hole for years lol. love it
Video not out yet, already love it
The thumbnail is insanely good. qMystic went above and beyond with this one.

I was worried Death Cavalier wouldn’t get included, but you put it at the end! One of the most imposing messengers ever 😂
It's Summoning time!
It was the greatest moment of all time. Loved the part where Summonius summoned all over the place.

Great video !
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed.

Either way, we need more Shalltear
Thank you
Hope fluder achieves his transformation like renna, We know new worlds can circumvent prerequisites for abilties and class from volume 16.
Jack the reaper was my favorite i wish we got more of him
