All jokes aside, momonga is actually a very intelegent individual...not to mention a very caussious guy and a battle strategy/tatical genious. The comedy from the show comes from the fact that Demiurge is so much smarter and yet refuses to agnowlege that, insted believing that he knows everithing he understands and more, and because of that always assumes that the best plan is the one momonga is going with. Even thow a lot a times momonga's plan is a lot simpler and even he is surprised with Demiurge's plans.
Ainz: i mean ah yes THAT plan.. right Demuirge..? Demuirge: Yes THAT plan! Ainz:.... ahum THAT plan.. very good very good..... (WTF IS HE ON ABOUT! WHAT PLAN????)
also not impossible for his passive stats to influence him like the emotion suppression does..... his ego is just still that mmo playing office worker....
Frankly, if I was someone so zealously religious about the 6 Gods, and I witnessed Ainz carry out these feats, the only logical conclusion I could possibly come to is that the God of Death had descended and that all I can do is prostrate before him a plead for his mercy.
Two things I love the most about this series is 1. how everybody try to cope with difference in power between Ainz(and Nazarick) and the world: at the beginning everybody just reject the possibility the he is THAT strong in compassion to everybody else and even when they say "ok he is strong" it is not even close; 2. how everybody reacts to his actions: guardian taking some joke as gospel and try to conquer the world because of that, everybody think that he has everything planned and every action has meaning and misunderstandings this brings(half of season 4 will be this) is so funny to me :)
I finally committed to reading the overlord LN after years of debating and went from vol 10 to vol 13 in a day because of your previous explanation videos which led to me rewatching the series a few more times. Thanks for making this videos and much love to the good content!

I think Yen Press have been releasing audiobooks of Light Novels like Overlord, Shield Hero, SAO, ECT to name a few. UwU It gets you into a book were you don't have to sit around, this way you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. And you can always rewind parts on what you missed or have a butter idea on what's going on. I just found out like last weak that they made them even tho they started doing them back around 2018ish/2020ish UwU
With S4 arriving in less than 21 days, it feels good that Overlord content is coming back in full swing. I'm just a little sad that the Albedo Elite Squad video was already made since the manga ACTUALLY covered that topic and was given more details on how it went.
Well, to be fair, its funny Ainz sometimes never know his jokes can become a reality because the citizens of nazarick literally thinks it is true? plus, it is his experience to be in a new world that is fresh and beautiful, irony that his joke is now an inspiration
Love the overlord content and looking forward to seeing more. Just one thing I noticed, at 8:25 you mention that the six great gods are from 1,200 years ago, I'm pretty certain they only appeared 600 years prior to the start of the story.
So I initially thought that too but the context of the paragraph it was in first mentioned the eight kings of avarice from 5 centuries ago. It then went to describe the dragonlords who came before them then stated 6 centuries earlier to describe the 6 Gods. So my thought process was that the whole paragraph was continuously going back in time to describe each era of powerful entities rather than an independent description of each one. I could be wrong though.
@@AniNews I'm fairly certain the time line is 600 years the 6 great gods appeared. 500 years ago the Eight Greed Kings appeared. 200 years ago the 13 heroes did battle with the Evil Deities. I don't know how far you've read into the light novels, so I won't go into any more details to avoid spoilers.
@@dizzy3049 Not so sure about that. Ainz is broken but at core he as strong as a max lvl player, for sure he has more broken items. For the history we don't know if they are from the same game so how strong they are/were in unknown unless its more talked about in the LN.
@@129das there s a brief mention in the anime but a whole conversation in the LN that one of the Dragon Lords is an Yggdrasil Online player and the white dragon that hangs out with the ST confirms by saying "I don't know where black is from but he is certainly not from our plane of existence"
Man I can't fucking wait for more overlord, I love how he just destroys everyone like someone playing minecraft in creative mode versus someone is survival mode, it's not even a competition.
I watched a bit of Overlord, up to season two, a while back and I decided that I should read the Light Novels to get a better understanding of the source material. I've been enjoying the novels a lot recently and it really is great to see some aspects being developed a lot more than the anime can.
This series is just in time to prepare for season 4 plus thanks to you I'm reading the manga and rewatching the anime. So thanks man for all the hard work 😁👍 and time put into making these episodes.
Love the Cut Content series and with Overlord IV coming up next season I really appreciate these. Hopefully you can make a few more before the new season starts.
The more I watch these cut content, the more I fall in love with these series. However I also feel sadden everytime I see that moments and information like these were cut from the anime. Same with Tensura. After finding out just how much information they cut and how rushed the anime was. And now, Shield hero as well. I know it's selfish and I don't wanna complain, because production=animators, etc=real people. but as a fan, can you blame me. At this point, I might just stop being an anime only and start reading. (Probably not gonna happen since I always push back things I wanna do and rarely act on them, like my ever increasing list of animes to watch)
Even done well like mushoku tensei for example it is impossible not to cut anything from the light novel when you adapt it into anime. And when done badly it feels especially bad. So you can still watch the quality ones but definitely avoid train wrecks that speed run their material.
Thank you for doing these videos...I LOVE the "Overlord" series like non ever...I should be reading the light novels and even the manga but the anime was into this title. You doing these videos fill in all the holes that I don't even know are missing!

Well being this WAS the very start of the series and of course the usual limitations of anime episodes and how much episodes this season had, it's not too uncommon for context on Slane Theocracy's ideology and their power structure to be left out. Besides, when you pose as a very powerful adventurer it was bound for it to be a means of gaining powerful allies. I don't mind that part of Ainz's plan to not be explained since it's one of those "matter of course" cases.
These videos got me to get all the light novels of Overlord. Currently waiting on the most recent one to come out in English and definitely going to get the next one afterward.

great video! i orignially avoided all the videos about overlord i saw due to not wanting spoilers (mostly in regards to the "who is" and "how strong is" videos) but this show is too awesome :) but were would i find a higher resolution of the picture at 13:37 ?

I think people complain when there is world building. Like anytime I see a show try to world build it’s either rushed or barely mentioned. Though a lot of viewers only care about action.
Great video, man! Now I don’t know if you’ll cover it in the next video but in the novel after Ainz had won he told Gazef and the villagers that the remaining theocracy members ran away. However Gazef knew better and he chose not ask what really happened, believing that Ainz killed them all. Surely that would’ve been more merciful.

Knowing that Zanac was wearing the majority of this gear when the nobles attacked, I hate we didn't see more of his defense.
