Blame the families of the criminals for not teaching them right from wrong, to have pride in themselves, and good work ethics so they'll always be employed. Stop blaming society. It all begins in the home.💯

Larceny is NOT down, they're just choosing not to prosecute. Those statistics reflect people who have been arrested and convicted not those leaving through the district attorney's revolving door.

    • @dyates6380
      @dyates6380 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Exactly. That's the same little tactic that many urban areas have done with the new "statistics" that show crime is down, when in reality you're exactly correct. They just don't even charge for many crimes anymore, thus it makes it seem like it's down but in actuality it's way up. Not the least bit surprised three are in Portland and a few others in California and of course, Harlem.

I wonder what metric they are using
      1 Number of shop lifters
2 Number of shop lifting incidents ( multiple actors at the same time would be considered one incident )
      3 Value of items taken
Also, some stores have given up reporting incidents to police.

Shoplifting isn't down. That's the BS pushed by the apologists for criminals. The reporting of shoplifting is down. It takes time, which costs money, to report shoplifting, and if nothing is going to be done about it, why would a business continue throwing money into that hole?

I saw somewhere where a community wants the City to open stores when big ones pull out. I'd be alright with that, if you took it out of money for the public relations, welfare, food stamps, and community programs for the area. I no longer care if it affects good people. Good people have let this go on far too long, and much of the bad behavior is from their own family members that they did not teach right and wrong to. They have elected mamby pamby Judges, City council members, and others, and there is only so much in the pot to pay for stuff. These people know who the thieves are, and when it shows up on TH-cam, they could turn them in. But they don't. They hide the criminals in their own houses.

Mass looting is definitely an issue, but there's no way that the MAJORITY of theft from stores like Target and Walmart are people paying for only half their s*** at self-checkout. The refusal to hire adequate staffing contributes to this issue. Of course, thieves ain't shit, but let's not make it so easy for them.

Adequate staffing? Lol. They have plenty of staffing. Blame the criminals. No one is putting a gun to their head and forcing them to steal. Then you have the huge groups of idiots charging into these stores and stealing 100s of items. Stores cannot make money losing money. It's common sense. They all added more security, locked up 100s of items and still people steal. Adding more staff costs money too. And that doesn't work

@@whouse7 @ Honestly that is the biggest problem … The stores don’t get funded the appropriate resources … I worked for a company with a 100, 000 sqft selling floor with 8 to 12 people on the floor with one cashier in high trafficked areas …. You might as well open your front doors and have every employee leave because it will eventually shutdown …. The technology doesn’t necessarily negate theft …. The companies that do well hire skill set that is experienced to handle these issues .. They also listen to key needs for the location … Finally , They have to control and negate internal losses by employees they hire …

It would be a ironic if a riot starts due to Target closing, and during the said riot, the rioters loot Target -- really driving the point home.

bruh I go to the middle school near here and I don't steal myself and don't condone it, but there are mad kids that steal from this target and succeed. Imao they make it mad obvious, I literally heard these kids plotting in school on different types of methods. One of the methods they talked about was taking stuff like toys, lego sets, or anything that could fit and going to a corner of the store with no cameras and shoving the items in their bags, then buying stuff like candy or something cheap to not look suspicious and just walking out with the unpaid merchandise.

How to Solve Retail Theft in the USA ?
Charge a Small Membership Fee with a Membership card to your store so that you know who is in your store and this Fee for the Membership contributes to any losses the store might incure during the Year. The store won't have to raise Prices on all things to all People to make up for the losses thus keeps prices Low.
Install A.I. to see through all cameras and have it.master looking for theft. Make sure cameras see all areas of store.
If someone is.caught stealing POST A BIG SIGN that says you will be BANNED from All stores forever unless you PAY A BIG FINE for first offence to get back in store for grace and mercy but if your caught stealing again it's a life ban.
    NO membership No entrance
    Problem Solved.
P.S. Many stores can team up and have a universal store card so if you get banned from one you get banned from all making stealing even a less tempting offer
