    I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate this video!!!!! This is my first printer, and I was so lost on the very first step, because it never said to push the horizontal bar up. And it didn't mention plugging in those Z-wires. The only thing I still struggled with was feeding the filament. I couldn't get it to go into the hole until I cut both sides into an arrow shape, then it went in.

    Thank you, just set up my Max printer and did the boat first as its smaller. But used black filament which hindset, not a good ideal since you can't see the printing well. Note, IF YOU ARE IN UK, DO NOT PUT VOLTAGE TO 115, YOU WILL BLOW UP THE PSU. You need to put it as 240v. 115v is for USA and other countries with that voltage.

    Great review! Creality is doing the same thing here as I saw on another of their printers though, probably the Ender 3 V2: the plate that covers the power supply has holes for the fan but the vents on the power supply are completely covered, causing the warm air to be recycled back toward the fan. The reviewer cute the plate in half to expose more of the power supply for air flow, maybe some slots to line up with the ones in the power supply could be added?

    So, mine just arrived today, came across your video when I was looking for a printer, remembered it and just did the setup and preparation as shown in your video, so let's see how it goes. Your vid defs covers like literally everything, so it defs got me considering this as my first 3D printer, especially since I got it at a solid price for it's bed size too. Looking forward to seeing my calibration cube lol. Benchy would take more time than I got available at the moment, but that's this weekend's print if I'm up for it lol

    I just bought an Ender 3 Max Neo and it arrived yesterday. I watched this guide on how to set it up and it took me no time at all to get it all set up. This guide is really well detailed.
    Just make sure that if you live in the UK or anywhere else outside the US to change the voltage to 220V and NOT 110V. I made the mistake of following the guide a little too well without realizing that this was for the US and blew my power supply as I started it up lol.

    • @SenseiNoyng
      @SenseiNoyng ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it’s also important to remember that messing up is part of 3d printing! There are times when you may not be able to get it right but that is completely fine because that’s how it works. You just have to keep adjusting until you find what works the best!

    • @UchihaSumairu

      @@SenseiNoyng yeah tbh I spoke too soon rofl! The last bit of my benchy keeps failing right after the arches it knocks it off the bed by actually hitting it. I watched this video, ordered one… followed this video step and step and boom… smoke coming out my printer and game over. When you switch your printer on you have to check your country voltage. As an amateur I just followed the steps in the video and changed the power on the printer to match this video. I wish in this video you said you was switching the power because of this… but this review and video is superb it helped me set up my printer, level it properly and it’s been on straight for 2 weeks already 🙌

    I'm not much for unboxing videos but because this printer will be my introduction into 3D printing I decided to watch and I am so glad I did. You do an excellent job and I am going to feel a ton more comfortable with the printer because of it. The only constructive criticism I would make is that when you talk about the bed cooling you never give an actual time but this is definitely a nit pick on my part that I'm only making because viewers, especially newbies like me, hang on every word and the more specific you can be in describing something the better. Again that is just a nit pick as I found the video to be absolutely excellent. Thanks very much.

      3 months later, how do you like the max neo? I'm contemplating getting it myself.

    • @firstthes2811
      @firstthes2811 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OganySupreme I love it. I set it up, printed ONLY the little rabbit that you're supposed to print to make sure it's working and after that I've just been printing stuff I draw in TinkerCAD, modify in TinkerCAD or find online. I have printed dozens and dozens of things and so far it hasn't missed a beat. The only complaint I would have is not really a complaint but a reality of the machine that one just has to accept. Because of the type of bed that it has it takes a while to cool down and only then can (or at least, should you) remove the print. I see where people don't like how long it takes to cool down but the benefit is that I haven't dealt, even a single time, with any issue related to something not sticking or sticking too much. IOW, let it do what it wants to do and it just works. Also, I struggled to find info as far as how to take care of the bed with some recommending one thing and others saying that that very thing would ruin the finish on the bed. I ended up getting Dawn Powerwash (that you just spray, wipe and rinse) using HOMEXCEL Microfiber cleaning clothes all from Amazon. I don't go crazy and I don't clean it after every print but every so many prints I just give it a simple cleaning and print. I hope this information is helpful to you.

    • @OganySupreme
      @OganySupreme ปีที่แล้ว

      @@firstthes2811 Thank you! What's been making me nervous is that there's a bunch of people online that report huge issues with this printer. They report the printer not leaving the home screen, working for a couple hours and then all of the sudden dying, it only works with certain filaments or types of PLA, etc. It's been making me nervous to buy one but it is by far the best deal for the features you get as of right now.
      Currently trying to upgrade from my old Ender 3, maybe I'll get this one, still not 100%.

    • @firstthes2811

    This video is just what I needed never used a 3d printer and this is pretty good information since this is the exact printer I'm looking at can't spring for the 5 max but wanted something bigger than the ender 3 so shooting at this in between. The max neo already has dual z and cr touch and can't remember if the max has the glass bed but since the neo does by the time I would buy the upgrades I would probably be close to the $100 difference so why not get one already done. Only wish it had dual extruders or at least the board for it, wish creality had a custom order build kit option available. did you notice if the gantry middle bar with the hotend on was offset on the right side.
    i am looking at mine followed your guide for setup and done my first print however it looks as if my bar across the middle is slightly off on the right side by like 2-3mm its defiantly not straight.

    OK, I finally received a new printer. Yes that one was defective. BUT , now a new problem. Following your instructions, when I insert the micro card and push print; all i get is ''back'''. NO FILE. So what's my next step? THANKS/.

    How did you get it to print so easily right away? Mine don't stick to the bed and shift soon as it starts trying to lay down the first layer.

    • @gcseed
      @gcseed ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try spray some hairspray or glue stick on the bed. It will make the first lay stick better and prevent any warping

    Tried to print a 3dbenchy with the settings from the video and all the infill and detail disappeared from the model when slicing. This turned my first couple prints into a spaghettified mess.
