    You should of talked about price points. As the max neo is 369$ and the s1 plus is 529. That's about a 160$ difference which is kinda a big deal.

    • @nfsrules2

      The main difference is the direct drive extruder. They sell it for $109 so Max Neo plus Pro Extruder sounds like it could be something.

    You can print TPU just fine on a bowden drive, as long as you have a dual gear extruder.

      I would say if you want more space the plus and if you want other stuff and more filliments that you can use the Ender pro and if to expensive the max neo (I don’t really know that much about the max neo though and I’m pretty shure it has good print quality)

    • @danielwilliams7207
      @danielwilliams7207 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I went with the Max Neo due to it’s build size and because you can get a sprite extruder and the mb from Amazon. It’s more expensive to buy these upgrades as opposed to going with a S1 but the build capacity was important for me. Also if you’re into modding / upgrading printers the neo has a huge community of people uploading printable upgrades for your printer.

    Not a bad printer, but the company support is a 'F'.
    I bought one of these 2 months ago. Printer 5 rolls of filament with no real issues. I cleaned it after each print, leveled the bed after each print etc etc.
    Then the other day. I had a 15 hour PLA print going and I checked in on it after 8 hours from my remote app and the printer was moving fine but no filament was coming out.
    I went to my print room and stopped the job. The hotend had become clogged and the extruder continued to force filament down into the hot end where it built leaked and created a mess of the hot end. It wasn't salvageable by cleaning and so I contacted their support. I am sorry, but it is terrible. This is a $15 part and I am having no luck get then to even understand. This should be a slam dunk - send me another cheap hotend, but no they don't seem to get it.
    I bought this as an entry level printer and was going to buy another Creality higher end model, but that is not going to happen.
    Worst support I have even had.
    I'll send the whole unit back to Amazon.

    If consumers keep buying the Max Neo, Creality will see it as ok to keep trickling already available upgrades for any Ender 3 or clone to get that build volume for you and we will never move on. Creality is no longer ran by makers, but by marketing and accountants/shareholder these days. You seen what Bambu Lab done in 2 years what no other company has achieved in half a decade or more? S1 with linear rails would be the only Ender that would pique my interest in this day and age.

    • @xenyon
      @xenyon ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The slight difference is that the Bambu costs around double to triple the price.

  • @DrEckig
    @DrEckig ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Would`ve been a much better comparison if you tried to make the printers as equal as possible, which would include custom firmware that both printers feature the same amount of probe points for bed leveling.

  • @roddsmith8954
    @roddsmith8954 ปีที่แล้ว

    try print a cube with silk pla on the max neo you get a very bad print,the neo only prints ok with certain filament, plus the bed movement is heavy and loud, the ender 3 max is better hands down and uieter movement as it has a better set up on the y axis stepper motor bracket with a idler pulluy, so they made a mess of the neo,very bad design, the belt is more or less touching the extrusion rail due to the cheap plastic tensioners,ivconerted my neo to a ender 3 max,just kept the dual z, and believe me best thing i did,i wish id have just bought the max and upgraded it, still you learn by your mistakes,so anyone reading this dont waste your money on the neo it is a pile of crap.
