  • Watch out Toyota RAV4: this all-new mid-size SUV could well be the best vehicle China has produced 👉Full Review: www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
The high-tech new Haval H6 has arrived in Australia, where it's taking aim at formidable and hugely popular mid-size SUVs like the Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson, and it has some impressive weapons in its arsenal to fight them.
An impressive standard equipment list across all variants includes twin 10.25-inch LCD screens, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, LED tail-lights and 18-inch alloy wheels.
    👉Full Review: www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
The comprehensive safety suite extends to seven airbags, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, reversing camera and both front and rear parking sensors.
Within the striking exterior design is a roomy, high-tech interior and under the bonnet is a brawny 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine hooked up to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Wrap all that up with ultra-competitive drive-away pricing starting at $30,990 drive-away and a strong seven-year warranty, and this Chinese SUV looks great on paper.
But what is the second-generation Haval H6 like to drive, ride in and live with? Watch our video review to find out.

I got one when I was in China, which was about 7 years ago. I bought it with a lot of hesitation with a concern of sustainability and quality as by that time, international brands were still very much dominating in China Market. It turned out to be far beyond expectations. No issues during a five-year long ownership, and from then on, it's become the top 1 of mid-size SUV by sales in China Market.

Not a bad review, but it would have been better with a little more info - like the projected maintenance costs which while about 50% lower than for a Kia Sorento - sees my leasing company figures actually much higher for the H6 indicating that replacement parts might well be very expensive. There is no mention of Android Auto being present in any of the literature. I'm pretty sure the H6 needs premium unleaded which also adds to the running cost(s). The "Ultra" lacks memory function for the electric driver's seat which is a bit of pain. Having seen one of these though, I find the presentation to bee excellent and love how rich the paintwork seems. Insurance for these is also very competitive. Overall, it seems to have a lot going for it though. Perhaps not quite so much as its competition in some areas, but still worth a look.
