I bought a black one and I love my car, drove it down the south coast when I first got it a month ago and I have to say that it was very comfortable to drive with no back or bum complaints lol and my partner is a big guy and he said he had no problems with seating either and he has lower back issues, the boot is very spacious can fit 2 large suitcases side by side, and overall the car is very roomy ,we both love the sound of the exhaust is Race mode, I really like the feel of the steering wheel, very light to drive,we thought she was a good price tag for what you get, good on fuel,I think better luxury than some of the bigger brand names which cost probably double or triple more than this car, each to there own I guess, but I love my GT, thanks for the review guys very humorous

About seating, a lack of a thigh extender is a decent thing to note. I’m not particularly tall (10cm off 6ft) and am skinny, but I do enjoy cars that have thigh extension for better support, but that being said the same complaint can be said for any Japanese/Korean car too (Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia) even Lexus. It’s not a unique Haval issue. The only cars that have the extender are often Euro cars but even then it’s not a standard feature so it’s only really on top spec Skoda/VWs and probably in an option pack on an Audi/Merc/BMW/Volvo.

Please dont take offens to this but I feel this review is sort of biased.
As someone who's been driving Mercs and BMW's for most of their life, I would say this is a sweet spot for cars. After test driving one of these, the seats for me were very comfortable... and Im quite tall. As for the infotainment it absolutely crushes any of my past cars. My Merc had a more luxurious *feeling* interior but of course it would, that is expected of a Merc . The Merc did beat it in the sound system but this was very close to that level. The tech in this Haval was sooo much more intuitive and useful than my other cars, which was refreshing.
The funny thing is that I found nothing you mentioned to be relatable in the slightest. I cant really say my experience has been even remotely similar to yours. Oh well, to each their own I suppose. I am not stating this as a fact but it seems like you were looking for problems with this car, as others have mentioned

Wow, I mean, this review is a bit of a miss for me. I own a H6 Ultra 2WD (not the GT) and recently returned from a 3 week 10,500km road trip from outback NSW to Darwin and back via QLD. It was me, my wife and 2 sons with the vehicle FULLY loaded with camp equipment plus a chockers roof box. With all that wind resistance PLUS going a constant 130km/h in the NT on the Stuart Highway with the air con on all the time, I was still doing high 10s/low 11 L/100. What kind of hooligan are you to be pulling mid 11s in an empty car, dude?? FAR OUT!!! Surely the GT is not that vastly different to the standard H6, is it? I mean we don't get the alcantara, our seats are full leather, seating and steering position especially for that constant distance was incredibly comfortable as were the seats themselves. I urge you to try the standard vehicle Ultra. Have it for a week as well. You'll really love it.

Their fuel consumption is likely because they have an AWD specced car which uses a lot more fuel than you would expect, also driving on the highway, even at 130km/h is going to be much more fuel efficient than driving around in the suburbs like they are

    • @Jaiysful
      @Jaiysful 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

You answered your own question there about your lower fuel consumption 1.) 2WD 2.) your example was a long-distance drive. Also you can clearly see in the vid the steering wheel is not at a conventional angle, so it's not that far-fetched that some people won't be comfortable.

I think the design of the car looks great on the outside and inside. Roomy on the inside. The downside for me is the steering , I personally want a D cut steering to look more sporty and their speedometers needs a redesign for sure. The wheel size is good with 19inch. I think haval is testing this vehicle at the moment....probably will do something to the next gt models to meet customer demands. That exhaust is really good though. Righto. Here we go again. What Gat stands for? Grand Touring, not Sports Car. And this car is absolutely that. I am 6'3" and have no issues with the comfort of this car or seats, not even on an 8 hour road trip. And this is the 21st century, making racist comments about Chinese people and their size will not make you an Auto Expert. People are people, in every nation there are small, tall, slim and fat (just like you- now, how did you like that?). Also, you shouldn't be fiddling with your phone or cable while you driving in any car. Also, it is a known fact that the car didn't get the Brembo brakes because Brembo pulled the plugs on it. People, go and test drive, sit in one for SE time and make up your minds. Not only is this a great value and quality car (despite being Chinese, like 85% of the products you buy), but one, if not the safest car in it's segment. Make up your own minds, don't listen to muppets..

outside of koreans, the average east asian person is a lot smaller than westerners/aussies and new zealanders. when you purchase any clothing from a store located china or japan, they really push for you to check the sizing charts and buy two sizes up. it’s not racist to state an objective, anatomical fact.

@@CarSauce The average Chinese person (172 cm) is only 3 cm shorter than the average Australian or American (175 cm). That's not the 2 inches that you claim. And it certainly doesn't warrant the comment that you make in the video. Your comment is in fact ignorant and racist. I feel embarrassed that I even had to check this.
I have watched several aussie reviews of this car and most reviewers were able to review the car without using racist stereotypes about Asian people to try to make a point and make jokes that mostly don't land.
Personally, Iʼve never been able to get through one of your videos. The jokes seem awkward and misplaced and are an embarrassingly obvious attempt at coming off like Jeremy Clarkson.

I have a 1st gen H6C, it has its quirks but to be honest I love it. If I had a choice now I would skip this want to be sports car and get the H6 HEV, it's not 4WD but it's zippier than the GT! I sat in one yesterday but it did feel a bit odd. Either the steering wheel wasn't adjustable or I couldn't find it.

Kinda cool your funny moments, really enjoyed it. Now about the car.....I guess I would feel the same if the driving position and wheel not in the right spot. I drive a Golf 7 and for me those things are really important ( that's why I bought the Golf in the first place, engineering and well though setup).
I was very looking into this car on paper and price, but definitely would have to try it, to see if it's a real breaker those issues. Great job, just subscribed

Regarding fuel consumption....Don't even look at it. After 2 months of searching and looking into the best SUV to buy, Haval came out top for me. The China factor is undoubtedly a prejudice which I think Paul should try to shake off.
I was shocked when I discovered Haval's research centre. They are no joke. In fact, I gathered that Haval is the best car manufacturer in the whole of China.
Make no mistake Paul, Hong Kong, S Korea, Japan, etc are no match for China when it comes to tecnology.
*I bought my GT Ultra only today.. and Paul's comment sounds like westerners are morbidly obese.* My Haval is more spacious than almost all the vehicles of the other brands.

I like my music, the speakers are terrible, I’m tall too so my knee literally covers one of the speakers not to get started on how uncomfortable the seat is, but my knee vibrates and the speaker sounds even more muffled. Why would they put it there. Aircon and other functions within the infotainment just shouldn’t be there, you want to pull away from a roundabout or light, just take 20seconds to navigate the menu from Apple CarPlay to turn to sport. The list goes on. I tried not to be biased going into a naval but man I hate this thing

@@wcrash9361 Unfortunately there are many things you can't avoid buying that are made in China so it's literally impossible to avoid them. However, ever since those communist arseholes released Covid 19 on an unsuspecting world, myself and my family have tried to avoid Chinese made goods wherever possible.
Cars in particular, are one commodity that you can make a choice about; therefore it's quite easy to avoid buying a Chinese made shitbox. We own a Ranger and a D Max and they may cost more but you're getting a much better quality product that will (still be going) be worth something in five or ten years time and we don't feel embarrassed driving them.
If you want to own and drive a Xi Jinping special that's your choice as you're the one that has to look at it and live with it every day.
      Good luck and God's speed.
