  • Looking for a used Haval for sale in South Africa? We have over 460 to choose from!
    www.cars.co.za/usedcars/Haval...
The interest in this car has been phenomenal. We've received an endless stream of comments, social media responses and requests from you, our dear viewers, to review this car. The reason for the delay was that Haval South Africa is selling every H6 that lands in the country, and so we had to wait longer for a media test unit.
It's fair to say that the broad appeal to - and interest in this car from South African motorists - is unprecedented. The brand has rocketed up the top 10 list of car brands in South Africa by sales volume and is now larger than Nissan. It's a success story other Chinese brands will hope to repeat and Chery's launch on our market is imminent.
In this video, we review the second from the top-of-the-range, the 2.0T AWD Luxury variant, and we take an in-depth look as to why South Africans are finding this package so appealing. We'll get into the pricing, we'll take a detailed look at the interior, safety features and tech features, we look at the back seat space and features, as well as the boot space (load area).
    Chapters:
    0:00 - Intro
    1:26 - What is the Haval H6?
    2:35 - Pricing
3:49 - Why is it so cheap?

Imagine at this day someone still laughing at GWM/Haval.This is the Huawei of Cars in South Africa. GWM/Haval are definitely shaking the market, look at how good the P-Series and Jolion are selling. I love how GWM/Haval are exposing other brands how overpriced they are.

    • @Geebvs
      @Geebvs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +50

Brother, apparently you're not aware of the way how price dumping works. You jump to the new market with aggressive, uncompetitive low prices of any product actually, get an attention and a large group of customers caring about price first, then you establish your brand's position and the prices... Are getting equal or even bigger than your, as you said,
      "overpriced" competitors.
Havals and other Chinese cars are in the same stage as Korean cars 10 years ago and for instance, Skoda cars in Europe 15 years ago. Great Wall is a large, rich conglomerate who can afford a small profit on its products, which is sacrificed for the future benefits. But soon they will start rising the price tags to the same "overpriced" level. Don't worry. Take a look of the price of new Hyundai Tucson comparing to rivals in 2009 and now. You see?

@@pettigrewtristan Ankiri the US got pissed @ them for ‘apparently’ helping their home government of China use the phones to spy on American Citizens. And so they then decided to ban Huawei from all US companies. So Huawei can’t use US products like Google, Microsoft etc. So now they had to switch from Android to their own OS, that isn’t that much of an OS really. So popularity’s down bc they’re banned in the US and Europe (I think). Huawei should’ve been like Xiaomi and just not sell in the US

My wife received a substantial increase in pay in 2017 and decided to let go of her Nissan Tiida in favor of a small crossover. But she wanted to buy "new". I kept on telling her while driving around looking at second-hand SUVs priced between R150k and R250k, that she should probably just settle for one of those second-hand jobbies. There's no way an SUV or crossover can be bought for the same money brand new. We walk out of one such dealer and across the road was GWM / Haval. She saw a striking orange car standing there and checked it out. The GWM M4 (now the Haval H1) for R169k brand new. We test drove it and she bought it. 4 years later she gets a call from the same dealer telling her that she is due for another service. Not a single thing has gone wrong on that car since she bought it, and while they were doing brake change, and knowing that she needs a car a little bit bigger (our boys grew) she saw the H6. Not the one in the video...the H6 1.5 turbo. Looks a little different. She test drove it and IMMEDIATELY signed the paperwork. Brand new 2021 Haval H6 for R289k. And I kid you not...I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My next car, two years from now, will be an H9. Without thinking twice.

Guys we bought an H6 one month ago. We ssarch almost all the SUV markets. Every other brand is asking 700k and more for the specifications given on the haval. The features are insane. I really think we made the perfect choice.
It's also true what he says. A polo is 400k and here you can get an SUV for a family of 4 or 5 for just over 400k. You can go on holidays and really enjoy the ride. I have been on more joy rides the past month than I have been in a year as the fun is enjoying the ride in the car as well. Kids love it too. It's the perfect family car.

With many more models coming out of China, you need such thought out reviews so that the consumers will know the real difference between a Chinese brand and others. I saw one 2 days ago and I said to my wife: What the hell is that ? Haval ? Never heard of it and came home and googled it. The more information I gathered the more I liked it. And today went for a test drive. Woooow, I was blown away. First of all the looks, stunning and sitting in it for the first time. Very luxurious feel that you only find in way more expensive cars. It reminds of a Volvo XC60 that I tried a year ago but costs 3 times more here in Thailand. How is that possible. Man I am sold. I am gonna get one soon. And the drivetrain here in Thailand is awesome. 1.5 liter turbo and too electric engines so it's a hybrid. And the combined output is 249hp. That's what I'm talking about. Not like Honda's HRV with 130 shitty ponies, which cost the same. Oh man this brand will shake the ground of it's competitors for a looong time, once people find out this is around...

Hi and love from India 👋 🙂. Just happened to come across this channel. Very informative, honest, and enjoyable reviews.
To the host and people who are wondering..... how Haval and other Chinese cars / brands are priced so reasonably with all its high quality materials and tech? The answer in a nutshell is China's MASSIVE manufacturing supply chain. But the answer is not so simple also...it factors in many other things.
China's MASSIVE manufacturing supply chain covers everything...from springs or radiators to advanced automatic transmissions...and I am just talking about automotive parts here. China is also a leader in printed circuit boards (PCB) and CNC machines..these CNC machines tool parts like that jewelled drive selector dial that you see in the Haval H6 to amazing precision.
China is doing what Japan did to the automotive, electronic, and other industries in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and even now....but a 100 times over....much larger scale.
Japan is a wonder..as all this was accomplished with Japan's relatively much smaller resources.
China has invested a lot in education and skills and the results are showing. China is not what the western media shows you or wants you to believe. There so...so many factors to what China is today....solid administration...strong policies...all that we are not aware of.
Not all cars are overpriced. Japanese and Korean cars do offer reasonable value for your money.... good bang for buck.
It's just that no country can match China's manufacturing capabilities. Yes it does expose certain overpriced car brands...that's partly right too.
