just ran into dirk at the megadeth concert... great guy. went straight from watching children of bodom play an awesome set to talking to my favorite drummer. made the trip to LA well worth it.
2:40 He IS human after all :P Soilwork - scratch that - ANY band can consider themselves lucky with this guy behind the kit. Totally underrated. Dirk, you rule hard !
I grew up with soilwork but i hvnt really paid much attention to the drums, and now ive played drums for over 15 years and i still dont know from what songs these are from.. i gota go back and listen. also, underated drummer.
...............................that's right speechless. ...........lol. you are awesome my friend. I've always enjoyed your style of playing. you are very underrated. You're one of my all-time favorite drummers. Keep up the good work. ...
Wow! Compare this to other fast metal drummers: Punch, attack, precision, endurance. Many phony metal and prog drummers would trigger this into the graveyard of music and he does everything raw. And of course you hear the difference. Amazing! His technique is masterclass and original.
And here I thought you couldn't go beyond the technicality of Spectrum of Eternity. You're really outdoing yourself. This album is going to melt *all* the faces.
El actual batera (o hasta hace poco) DIRK VERBEUREN, ex-Soilwork, un animal, tiene un vídeo de exhibición del 2015, me encantaría que lo analizaras, un abrazo máquina!!
My favorite drummers keep getting sucked into Megadeth! Don't get me wrong, Megadeth is sick, but the drumming on their songs is not crazy interesting. I guess they're something like the holy grail of professional achievement for drummers but the drum parts are like creative purgatory on a lot of their songs.
So what that is meant to do is to keep most of the bassdrum sound out of the room. That way you have better control in the mixing phase. If you want to turn up the room mics and/or heavily compress it you won't get an overpowering kick in the mix. With these crazy fast blast beats it will help a lot.
Hopefully they have blast beats in Megadeths new album. That’ll be badass. Also he’s too good for Megadeth 😂 he’s technical as fuck, Megadeth drummer is more groove than anything.
according to Marty, after their introduction and rehearsals, Megadeth now has a groove that Marty has never heard from them before. He credits Dirk with that!
Danny Carey is in my top five favorite drummers. There are a lot of guys faster than him, but pretty much none that can play what he plays in the style he plays it in. The patterns he plays are amazing.
+Felipe fernandez But what Dirk is doing is almost jazz like and that one of the most difficult drumstyles...But yea Danny "the beast" carrey is my personal fav. and Tool is one awesome band aswel ..i wish they brought the new record out

Interestingly enough, Dirk is now going to be filling in for Chris while he's busy with LoG.
The Dirk blast is too crucial.. Can't wait to hear!!
He's one of a kind, this guy. Love watching him work!
2:40 He IS human after all :P
Soilwork - scratch that - ANY band can consider themselves lucky with this guy behind the kit. Totally underrated. Dirk, you rule hard !
That's exactly the same thing I said to myself. . Lol. "So he does hiccup every once in a while " lol
+Frank Alvillar nah. He's obviously faked screwing up just to convince people he's actually still anywhere near human! :P
The stick fucked up, not him lol
That's only because the stick was made by an ordinary mortal and couldn't keep up with him
運
That beat at 0:44 holy crap. Insane how this man keeps a groove in that chaos.
Holy Christ that blastbeat too.......
I’m pretty sure he’s doing his signature dirk blast
⚖️💕🌷
death in general, starting at 2:45
@@derekjakoboski8987That part is actually Whirl of Pain.
"turned it up to 280 so I can get get to the thai food faster" how can you not love these guys?
How to make what's probably a great album absolutely amazing: Have Dirk Verbeuren play drums on it.
足立S雅
..and that ladies and gentlemen, is what a professional looks like. One of the true greats.

Killer tom rolls man and creative fills, awesome stuff \,,/
What a great room sound
Wish they use it more on their final mixes (the engineers)
Always impressive! The king of blast beats!
I miss dirk in soilwork. He was the best.
OMG 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hope there's footage of all your new albums man!
Youre amazing
fantastic drummer!!
I would've loved to hear/see Dirk on a Necrophagist album
I can't even fathom how someone could play with their snare and ride so low.
When you are doing double stroke rolls it helps to lower your ride and snare so your wrist gets more angle
Apparently Soilwork's new album gonna be technical on a new level!
...............................that's right speechless. ...........lol. you are awesome my friend. I've always enjoyed your style of playing. you are very underrated. You're one of my all-time favorite drummers. Keep up the good work. ...
So that's how it's done. Cannot wait for that album! DirkVerbeurenDrummer
I will be awaiting the new album. Can't wait!

Same reason I loved Martin Lopez’s work in Opeth
Woah...really waiting for that new album...this is awesome 👌
first time hearing this guy... sounds fucking awesome
Beast.. absolutely beast!!!
Nice job.
Awesome stuff.
woohaa a lot of blast beats niceeeeeeeeeee!!! those chops are just to sick!
Really looking forward to the net Megadeth album and how Dirk is gonna influence their music.

And here I thought you couldn't go beyond the technicality of Spectrum of Eternity. You're really outdoing yourself. This album is going to melt *all* the faces.
I LOVE YOUR PLAYING SO MUCH
You are an absolute beast!!!
1:00 GENIAL ! (caisse claire sur le temps, puis backbeat)
2:02 j'adore.
sick!
In some parts it looks like his arms en legs are in a different dimension then the rest of his body. Awesome!

How can you get such a great snare sound ? ! I love it
Bruh this dude's gonna take the new Megadeth album to the next level!!
The Sick, The Dying, and The Dead🤘💀☢️
Woods I meant the panic broadcast .. one of their best album
You are doing a really good job with Megadeth, but I think Soilwork needs you more
INSANE!!!!
like it so very good!
Dude your fucking amazing talent!
what does he do at 1:25
What's that band on your head at 00:24?
Great drumming btw!
That's insane!
when your left hand hits another 5-10 times before your brain catches on
0:43 Never ceases to fucking blow my mind
is the dirk blast
I know some people consider it "cheating", but I love the feel it gives to the blast beat.
I wonder who calls that cheating. It´s harder than a regular blast beat! :-) I guess the haters are jealous.
Very tallented guy! Kick ass!
SuperDirk!
Don't get me wrong, but he's too good for Megadeth!
wait for next album !!!
Nick Faithful I agree.
I know you will get me wrong when i'll say Lars is
Both Kiko and Dirk (the new adds) are too skilled for megadeth..
megadeth was always number 5 on the list of top 4 80's metal
Good luck with Dave!
you need to do a clinic here in Arlington, TEXAS Guitar Center. Hell, come to my place and we'll play drums all day.
So... many.. blasts.... :O~~~
What song is 0:43 from?
sounds like "death in general". towards the middle of the song bridge before the second chorus
What soilwork song is at 2:00??
Petrichor by Sulphur
Dirk said the new album is similar to Steelbath Suicide on some of the songs, cannot wait.
My question is... How to edit something like that?! (for mixing)
crazy
ya solo estará hasta el 28 de junio, cuando se incorpore nuevamente Chris adler. por compromisos con lamd of god.
🤟
Unfcknreal bro.
He even move those arms are mechanical fast as hell.

Dammmmmmn!!!!
Slayer and Megadeth should switch drummers. Dirk would be better at playing Slayer songs and Bostaph is a better fit for Megadeth.
truly an under appreciated comment
Dirk's drums aren't heavy enough.
Slayer is shit
Dirk is a drum genious. Megadeath needs only a drummer.
Who knows
@@oskub5348 maybe im wrong. Lets listen megadeth new album
@@osvaldoalarcon5264 ehm Chris Adler recorded Dystopia with megadeth.
Hows that Bass Drum fort?!?!?!?!
I am guessing that was rigged to get a certain bass drum sound when recording?
So what that is meant to do is to keep most of the bassdrum sound out of the room. That way you have better control in the mixing phase. If you want to turn up the room mics and/or heavily compress it you won't get an overpowering kick in the mix. With these crazy fast blast beats it will help a lot.
Fucking skills.
Cost of mics to record that album: $7,350.00. Cost of mics to record this video: $7.88. Cost of entire Megadeath discography: $3.25 free shipping.

@@itsalwayssomething7490 and there's Dirk Blast beats on Soldier On!!

You don't always have to play like this to be great
uhm maybe uts safe to say that he's faster then Danny from Tool ?
Danny Carey is in my top five favorite drummers. There are a lot of guys faster than him, but pretty much none that can play what he plays in the style he plays it in. The patterns he plays are amazing.

Yeah but his band only has 1 good album compared to multiple by Dirk.
Drop another stick
holy fuck
Im shocked.
