I'd give an arm and a leg to meet those guys, especially Dirk as I am a drummer myself. My very lame claim to fame in this regard is that Strid once pointed at me at a concert for - I don't know - just being there I guess ^^ So yeah. But I imagine the guys to be very chill (from what I saw on the making of The Ride Majestic). Nice guys, killer (!!) music, cold beer - paradise.
This dude is one of the best out there, if not the best. I love how he knows when and where to show off in a song, and also where to hang back and let other parts of the band take the spotlight. He is a master at his craft for sure.
Every time I see a Dirk video - my day automatically stops to watch it! I love the chorus switch back and forth between the snare leading, and the bass drum leading. Such a fantastic effect!

im Disappointed and depressed that Dirk left for Megadeth. As good as Megadeth may be Im much more into Soilwork and im sure they will find a worthy replacement but the chemistry in the band the last 12 years has been amazing!!! Sad to see him go.
imagine if Dirk was allowed to let lose on the next Megadeth album holy fuck that would be brutal with Kiko's amazing solos and Dirks drum lines it would be amazing
You could only hear 30% of what he is doing here on the album version. I REALLY wish they produced the drums a lot clearer and more upfront. Dirk is beyond amazing, and the production just mutes him.
Sad to see him leave Soilwork for Megadeth. With Megadeth music, he is not able to show much change of beats and variance on each segment of the songs. Megadeth musics are so linear that I find myself get bored after listening through half way of their songs..
