    Those were all amazing tips I really don’t think you didn’t miss any!!!! I love the tip about “just not now” because it’s so true we’re not depriving ourselves of what we want and instead we’re just delaying it and it gives you so much power and control over what you can control that feels really good to be able to just wait until the next day to eat it I love that part of ADF 💪🏻🙌🏻🔥 this was a great video hun!

    Thanks so much! This was super helpful. Another thing that helps me is when I’m having a hard fasting day, I follow Gin Stephen’s’ advice from Fast, Feast, Repeat and tell myself I deserve to be healthy. I love your “choose your hard” too. The old way made me feel awful, so it was hard that way. So now I’ll try reminding myself that this is the hard that I’ve chosen. Have a great day! 😀

    Thank you for this! I’m on day 1 and starting with OMAD, and will slowly ease into ADF. I’m so excited to watch all of your videos! They are very motivating. I’ve done months of 16:8 before but it stopped working. I think it was too big of a feeding window but just limiting enough to make me crave and think about food all the time. I’ve almost done my first 20 hour fast and I could probably go longer- I’m barely hungry and have had so much energy and mental clarity today!

    Amazing pointers! So well thought out, thank you 🙏 I just did my first alternate day fast yesterday and I can see this being a long-term way of living. I was already pretty much doing omad Anyway.
    we moved to the country the last four months and I don’t get home until nine or 10 at night and then I was eating at that time. I started gaining weight around the middle so I think this way of eating will help and I plan to do meal prep for my eat days on the fast days. Wish me luck!

    So glad I found your channel. This is exactly what I am looking for. I had lost 70 pounds doing IF, using OMAD, but then I failed maintenance. I started overeating and extending my window and gained back about 25 lbs. I’ve tried to lose it again with OMAD, but the weight is just not coming off the way it did the first time. So I am trying ADF. I don’t feel comfortable at this weight, and really want to get the weight off. The tips for sticking to the regimen are what I really need to hear. Thanks very much.

    Thanks for the great video. What helps me doing ADF is water. When I feel hungry, I drink about 8 oz. of water. It helps immediately because it's just something entering my stomach. Within a few minutes of drinking the water, I've forgotten about the hunger. It completely goes away. I usually drink cold water too. That sort of shocks my stomach. Thanks again.

    Hi Lexi! You look so pretty in the vlog this week, the blouse really brings out the blue in your eyes! I still remember the first full day I fasted, I practically announced to my husband and daughter that I’m not here today and spent the whole day reading in bed 🤪. Obviously I couldn’t do that every subsequent fast day. I really like that phrase “choose your hard”. You’ve pretty much covered everything I do but I’ll expand on a few of yours that worked for me:
    1) space out your salt intake. I found it really helped to take it every 3hrs or so to prevent getting the headache or other electrolytes imbalance symptoms. Even by doing this, I’m not able to get rid of my brain fog but it does reduce it.
    2) take a bath or drink hot water are especially helpful when you feel cold from fasting.
    3) try what you drink your water out of if you struggle to drink enough water. I have this odd thing that I find I’ll drink more water from a bottle or a narrow flask with small mouth piece/hole. I don’t know why but I really don’t like drinking plain water out of a glass or mug and found this really helped.
    4) when I really struggle in the evening, I would take an earlier shower and go to bed early and just lie there listening to podcast or watch my fav fasting videos. This is my way of taking care of myself.
    5) save your favourite drink for the hours you struggle most. For me, that’s usually around 5-6pm, so I would drink my sparkling water then.
    By the way, I did a 5:2 this week (fasted Monday and Wednesday), Monday wasn’t hard but yesterday was, all the brain fog and light headed struggles came back, even when I did the modified fast yesterday, so that was interesting. I’ll do 19:5 for Friday and Saturday to finish up this week’s fasts. Still trying to find the combination that makes my body feel good. I’ll do this pattern again next week or at least do a meal-less Monday if I don’t feel up to 5:2. I really envy people who say they have a ton of energy on fast days, because this week reminded me of how much I like the up down day of ADF, but I don’t like how unwell I felt on the second fast day. I feel like the mind says YES whilst the body says NO 😅 do you usually feel quite well on your fast days?

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Patricia! And haha I love the story of your first fast day, and that’s a great way to do it if you can swing it. I remember my first fast day was a Wednesday, so my husband was at work and it actually helped me because I didn’t have to have him asking me questions about how I was feeling because I may not have been nice. 😅 I love all your tips! Thank you for sharing. And as far as how I feel on fasting days, I do have those days when I’m feeling unwell, I feel like it’s my body reacting to the toxicity that it’s trying to get rid of. But generally I feel ok, it’s just the afternoon when I get sluggish, then by about 4-5 I get a boost of energy and also I’m excited about eating the next day! Sounds like a mealless Monday might be perfect for you, then a up day Tuesday and 19:5 the rest? I love how you’re experimenting though, and I look forward to seeing what you settle on!

    Hi there. Can you please break down the ADF 4:3 you do so I can understand exactly how to schedule that? I am omad now ( fairly new to this lifestyle a few months), but would like to do something different to help me realize this actually works and I will eventually get healthy again.

      @MomFasting  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Basically you fast for a whole day, 3x a week on alternating days. So it could be Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday. Saturday. Or some other combination. Water or black coffee only on fasting days. Eating days could be whatever you want, however long, minimum of 2 meals and 6 hours but it is very flexible and simple. Not necessarily easy, but simple. Best of luck to you. ❤️

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Some people don’t believe so, others do. It may be totally individual. But the theory is that it triggers an insulin response. Many people, including myself, find it easier to go without anything flavored.

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep. A lot of people do, but there’s this thing called the cephalic phase insulin response, where your body releases insulin in response to sweet tastes and flavors, just because it believes that food is coming. It seems to vary from person to person, but I’ve literally heard from 100s of people who say when they cut it and all flavors/ creams out of the fast, it makes their fast drastically easier. 😁

    Stevia doesn’t raise insulin, it’s safe for diabetics. Did you mean to say something else?

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey! So because of the cephalic phase insulin response, sometimes the body will release insulin based on a sweet taste, because the body believes it has carbs coming, and responds accordingly. It seems to vary from person to person and probably based on how much you’re having. But because of this possibility, it is best to avoid it during a fast to optimize your results. 😊 Many people report once they cut out any type of sweetener in their fasting window, fasting becomes so much easier.
