2008 Honda Accord AUX repair

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 30 ธ.ค. 2014
  • The part number is: 39112-TA0-A01
As stated in the video, it was my first one and I was too lazy to clean it up. This repair was extremely simple to do. I think the hardest part was finding the part number.
I created this video with the TH-cam Video Editor ( / editor )

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I ordered the part off Amazon for $17.83, and just fixed it by myself for free. As a woman that knows next to nothing about cars, THANK YOU SO MUCH for making and sharing this video.

8 years later and your video has proven to be of great help. Have a 2011 Honda Accord with only 50,000 miles on it, not daily driven (I am the original owner) and the dealer asked $300 USD 😂😂 to replace the part.., many thanks

I have a 2009 Accord and the same process applied! Thank you for your help! I was lucky to have come across this video. Since I went to the Honda dealership for a recall notice, I asked how much they would charge me to get it done there and a manager told me they’d charge ~$300 because they “had to pull the center console apart.” Decided to give it a try myself and paid ~$22 for the part and got it fixed myself within 3 minutes.
You’re the best! Thanks a million

So easy! I spent a total of $20 for the part and the tool(s) and now I'm up and running music from my phone's playlist. Thank you so much and keep making videos. I have the exact same vehicle as your wife and as a single woman I'm always tinkering to save some dough.

Awesome. I was looking at replacing the stereo because the Aux button did not work any longer. It never occurred to me that it was the jack. Then I found this video and realized how cheaply I can probably fix this. The dealership wanted $28 for the part but I ordered it online for $19. Thanks Mr. Arizona!!!

Thank you for this video. I had this same problem on my 2010 accord. I took the old switch apart to find out whats happening. There are 5 wires, 3 for audio and 2 for a switch. Well the switch is nothing more than a cheap leaf of metal that gets bent when the headphone jack is inserted. When the switch is met then the radio can change to aux mode. So for people that dont want to spend 20 bux they could just short the two wires but they need to know which those are. I spent the 20 bux. The honda dealership tried to charge me saying the car was missing some wiring. morons. I am in Arizona also.

And by the way, accord reliability is very good but haven't you noticed they cheap out on parts, for example my stick shift is worned, the cloth on the ceiling is sagging, the console plastic is chipping, my drivers side viser dsnt stay up, they are little things here and there. My wife has a. 04 Corolla and every thing looks almost new . Maybe I got the one built on Friday when they were crazy to go home? Hahaha

what kind of aux cord is that? I have a 2010 accord and neither a 3.5 or 2.5 end will fit into the aux input.

Thank you so much from 2021 :)
I have a small question, for me when I press to the aux button it’s showing nothing on the screen like there is no button at all, is that was your problem as well?

You’re welcome from 2022. That’s how it was and nothing worked. It was like there was no aux connection to the stereo

Will try this on my sisters 2010 accord this weekend. It's a 2010. I believe it should work. Same Gen accord. Thank you for this. Good day.

No need to replace the aux input port generally . If AUX button not working, Just plug off the connector in the back seat air conditioner fan output, and short-circuited the grey and yellow line.

Great video. Very helpful despite the fact that your filmmaking skills are what could be considered lacking. Lol. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Thank you again. Awesome!!
