This WORKED! Thanks so much for sharing. Trying to pop out that whole housing really isn't worth the struggle. This is the way to go.
I was driving around for too long without my own music to blast. I was almost gonna buy a new radio with BT features, but I didn't go thru with it cause it was pricey.
Thank goodness I kept researching, and someone said just buy a new port. $20 on Amazon. And don't let that back panel intimidate you! So easy to pop on and off. I didn't even buy any special prying tools.

For anybody that sees this just take off the panel on the back of the center console it's just a few clips holding the panel. That way you can replace the whole piece without scratching up the plastic.

I don’t think you can do that with the EX Accord cause there’s an extra AC blower for the back seat on that panel.

@TProcunier 08-09 accords don't have the rear vents no matter if it's lx or ex. but I'm sure you can still pull the panel off the same. Vents will come off with it the same as changing the radio vents come out with it.

I have the 2010 EX-L and it is a pain to get under the vents. I have been trying to find a way to get under there but have not had luck yet.

@@Jay91Byrdwhat I did was pull on the cover of the old aux and then you can see the pins you need to press in from the inside. I used a knife to push in one of the pins while pushing up on the device from the bottom which released. I did the same for the other side and it popped right out. In my experience. I would be impossible to remove the aux for a 2010 ex-l from the bottom unless you removed a ton of stuff from the center console

Mine isn’t working either…might have to change it out like you. When I push the AUX button nothing happens at all. Was yours doing that too?

Yeah pretty much, it probably just has a short in it like mine. When you constantly use it over and over, this happens. Get you Bluetooth connector that just stays in there.

No need to replace the aux input port. Just plug off the connector, and short-circuited the grey and yellow line

What is that black aukey product called?

It's a Bluetooth receiver that connects my phone to the radio. They don't sell that particular one any more but you can find different ones.

That’s a risky way of doing it. What about the electronic part of it? You’ll damage it with a long nose. I have no Idea what you just did. Your video is so dark. Wish you would have video the thing when you actually did it.
