As always a "bloody brilliant" walk in our countryside! I love seeing and hearing your take on the local flora and fauna. Thank you Chris and Jess for this video
@@DaydreamersBarn my youngest son emigrated to America 6 years ago. He's now married, with a baby and very successful in his job. Recently he sent me pictures of Coyotes walking through his garden and a timber rattlesnake basking on some rocks. I look forward to seeing your nature in due course Jess
How does he like the US? We will definitely take you all along with us for our adventures here and in the US. Wow, a Coyote in his garden. We had a bear down the road from our house in the US. It's very different from the wildlife here, for sure. 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn Are you on X or Facebook I can send you pictures he sent me. He loves it there. Like me he's an animal nut! There was four coyotes, I have the pictures. It will be sad to lose you from the UK but fascinating to follow you on home ground xx
Ray, We love to travel and see as much of this beautiful country as we can. We're just so happy that you enjoy coming along with us. I have so much love for nature, and being outdoors is just so peaceful. I love how much the UK embraces nature and getting people outside. It does so much good for our overall health and well-being! Thank you for coming along with us as we explore. 🤍 Jess & family x
@@DaydreamersBarn , if you're thinking of going to Stone Henge any time look up Ayre Henge first it's so big it has a pub in the middle and it's free plus you can walk up to the stones , look them both up first before you decide
Another incredible episode Jess and Chris or should I say " bloody brilliant" 😀 I always watch your video's just before I go to bed as they relax me in a very special way after my day so thank you my friends for helping this Brit have some sweet dreams. I have started to collect pine cones of various shapes and sizes and place them around my flat. This was a wonderful heavenly walk and all I can say is thank you so much for making so many people happy and relaxed, the background music was perfect Jess. Wish you and your family a fabulous week Jess, love and best wishes, take care. xx. ♥🦢🦢
Stephen, Thank you, sweet friend! We're so thankful we can help you have sweet dreams. We are so glad that you find our fun adventures enjoyable! We're very blessed to call you a friend. I love that you have a pinecone collection that is very neat! I love working on my editing as much as I can. I'm definitely not a professional, but I find so much enjoyment from it. Also, I love getting out exploring this beautiful world and taking you along with us. Sweet Dreams! 🤍 Jes x
Beautiful, tremendous stress relieving vlog! What a great walk incorporating the very English phrase 'bloody brilliant'!!! You're almost a Brit now Jess. Nice start to my day😁
A gorgeous video. You passed a flint faced church, which in your area is not unusual. I am sure you have seen many such facings on churches and houses. In Neolithic times, flint was traded from that area across northern Europe. In fact, pits are still visible, where flint was quarried. I would not worry about wandering onto private land. Trespass is not illegal in England, except in the case of damage or worrying farm animals. If the owner objects, they will simply ask you to leave. For example, Sandringham and Balmoral, the King's private estates, both have public access. The only time the police would be interested, is if one wandered too close to the residences. I don't know which of you serves in the military, but I do know that everyone in the family makes sacrifices. I hope that the charm of the English countryside, villages and towns is some compensation. Bless you all.
We definitely love taking time to get out and exploring this beautiful place! We love it here, and all the footpaths are a joy. Chris is the active duty person. We really appreciate your kindness and support. 🤍 Jess x
Kudos! On spotting the hop plant. Staying on a hop picking farm used to be a fun adventure for young people and families to get away from industrial towns and cities and enjoy the fresh air.
I am sure you would enjoy a visit to the Cotswold Farm Park. You can see the Highland Coo there along with many other farm animals, including rare breeds.
You know if you stray on to private property you are 99.99999% not going to get shot at. Been to Thetford, several times in the past, with the Army. An excellent walk and accompanying music.
you both had a 'tree'-mendous time walking amongst those trees. Better yet was that 'quacking' moment with the swan and the ducks!! Glad you enjoyed your walk!
It's really nice to take a walk along the country paths, and as you are finding, take pleasure in the simple things like the butterfly, and be shocked by a harmless spider - which incidentally was enjoying a meal - and appreciating the beautiful cloud formations which can occupy a half to two thirds of the view. I am really chuffed (pleased, delighted), that you seem to be loving our country walks. I find that I definitely feel better, mentally and physically, after a walk than before. That walk was lovely. Cheers ! Sheffield South Yorkshire.
Hi both, I’ve played golf many times in Florida, sometimes I played so badly I played golf spelt backwards FLOG as I was always in the rough. The point I’m making is seeing Chris & yourself walking through the rough like terrain with no fear of anything lurking to bite or attack you, when I went in the same such ground playing golf in Florida I used to get paranoid as I was forewarned about alligators, rattlesnakes and cottonmouths. We are so lucky here unless you encounter a bad tempered squirrel. Happy Travelling.🫶🏴🇬🇧.
That was an interesting walk. Incidentally, your 'little pine cones' are actually the fruits of the alder tree, a common tree around water and marshy areas.
Beautiful sunny day. Next time try taking your socks and shoes off and walking on the grass... it's like earthing the energy out, or in I can't quite decide. Which ever one, I love it 😊 ❤ from Northeast England ❤️
The US, I'm sure has more diverse landscapes, the problem is they are so far apart you have to drive for hours or days to move from one to another. The UK has the diversity of a huge landmass, squashed into a small island.
We love being able to just hop in the car and find new and beautiful things here in the UK. It's definitely a shorter drive compared to the US, for sure. 🤍 Jess x
That's why I love September because its not too hot and its not too cold of course there are variations but in general that's how I remember my Septembers.
England does not have autumn colours like New England, but we do have a variety of trees and colour in a small country. Highland Cows were native to Scotland though you can now find a few around England.
Great reaction Chris and Jess. That statue in the field seemed so random, just lets you know that every spot has some significance. Yes, when the leaves turn brown and start falling to the ground, this reminds you that the great British autumn chill is just around the corner, but still beautiful though. It is so cool that the UK has thousands of miles of public footpaths as this helps so much for people to enjoy nature. Where did all the cows go? 🐄Probably setting down and getting ready for the winter! I really love the rugged and rough forage parts of the UK, so untouched and natural. Another thing I love about the UK and the USA are the forests and woods, that path you guys walked up through the pine forest leading up to that church was so awesome and picturesque. It just seemed like every corner you turned were struck with beauty, like that lovely bridge and flowing streams and I did not realise myself that Lynford, Arboretum was so nice. I heard that owl too!🦉But the best for me was all the birds whistling in the woods. That "pause" sign was so magnificent, I haven't see anything like that before on a nature trail. I was surprised to see wild hops growing in the woods and thought Chris might pick a few as I know he is a keen home brewer. Is there nothing better than seeing lily pads or water lilies on a pond, but where were the frogs! 🐸 And to end the walk, is there nothing better than seeing beautiful swans and ducks going about their business on a stream. I am going to invent "smellyvision" and make myself a millionaire. I can clearly see that you was in your element on this walk Jess and why not! Loved the ambient music in the background by the way. Fantastic video guys and one of your best rambles yet. Keep up the great work Daydreamers Barn and look forward to your next video. xx
Beautiful walk, guys. How does it feel to be able to walk in the woods without worrying about Bears, Coyotes or rattlesnakes? I love your videos first thing in the morning whilst getting ready for work ❤
Lovely video again. It makes you wonder why travel agents push London as the place to go to. So many foreign visitors never see our real country. Thank you
With the music, the point where you were scared sounded like the gateway to hell. or the site of an old witches coven. Best avoided. The rest of the walk was beautiful with a great mix of scenery. Never mind the spiders, you may have been blessed to come across a harmless grass snake or the poisonous adder. Mind you, I have only seen one in my life.
Don't worry Jess. There are no dangerous wild animals in Britain. No wolves, bears, coyotes, or rattlesnakes. Squirrels wont hunt you down in packs! Lovely walk. Enjoy British Countryside.
I had an outdoor job where they nicknamed me “The melting ice cube” because I would seek out shade during periods of inactivity and they said I was scared of the sun. I’m not scared of the massive ball of fire that can burn things from 93 million miles away but I don’t see any reason to offer myself up as kindling!
Chris and spiders 😂 you should be careful out there, in the forests the UK has some very large arachnids, larger then tarantulas. They come into your home this time of year. Look under the bed 👀 😂
@5:04 I'm pretty sure now, You are walking on an Old, if not ancient Track/road, The Straight path ahead the old trees following that path on either side of the central path, ??? where are you
