I filmed this video on a Sony A6400 with a Røde microphone and used Premiere Pro and Garageband for editing.

Many many many! The summer of 2024 is fully planned with hikes here and there. I never share the exact plans beforehand, but I'll be filming them al, so you'll see everything here on the channel!

I’m pretty sure I saw you walking in Fort William on that friday May 3rd after I finished the West Highland Way with some friends but post-hike pizza got the best of me. I was hoping you would be hiking the Cape Wrath Trail. Thank you for making another inspiring video!

Fantastic, Floor. You captured the remoteness and beauty of those places. Glad your camera did not stay kaputt and that you mostly had incredible weather, makes all the difference up there. CWT was the hardest hike I've done by far, well done on finishing!! ❤

This was the Goldilocks Zone for me, the right amount of Everything, The last Time i done the Cape Wrath Trail was the end of the first Lockdown and Met some Amazing Travelers along the way, past each other many Times and Past messages Back and Forth and without Planning we all met up at the Lighthouse and Spent a night together at the Kearvaig Bothy.

Hi Floor, great video and great achievement. I'm hoping to start the CWT with my dog next week - preparing resupply boxes and watching the weather atm. I am hoping to make the last ferry crossing from Fort William and just wondered where you camped the first night. By any chance did you see any camping spots before Conaglen House. Thank you very much for sharing your adventure. I loved watching and am gleaning lots of info. Keep going!
Hey Allison! There are some camping spots next to the road before Conaglen House, although they’re not the most idyllic ones. I stayed there, though. It does the job 😅 Enjoy the trail!! 😍

Yes, I finished on the Thursday in terrible weather. I was wondering about you and Jeff as well, and I was glad to read in the visitor's book at the lighthouse that you managed to get there before the closure/shooting dates.
I've already decided to do it again next year 😂, allowing (even) more time to visit the places I missed this time (Falls of Glomach, Maol Bhuidhe, back of Beinn Eighe...)!

I'm here for the special sound effects. pow... pow... pow... thuf... thuf... thuff... miyouv... miyouv... miyouvvv... What about the wonderful scenery choices, the delicious music playing in the background and the girl? You know that one jumping around? Yes, yes, I can say that they also left a bit of an impact on the audience. (This was the best hiking video I've seen in a long, long time.) Small... tiny impact. (Even though I know I can't decide, I want to take screenshots of every moment of this video, and then spend time thinking about which one to make as the desktop picture of my computer.) But the special sound effects are the main thing. (damn... I'll watch it again... then again... aga... DAMN)

great video, sublime filming and editing. Thank you for sharing your experience with the CWT in your video. There's an increasing number of (rather good) video's appearing about the CWT from people who have hiked it and this is a fine example of that. I'm wondering how many days exactly it took you to hike the entire trail and i'm looking forward to your guidebook about it. When do you expect it to be available? - I'm planning to hike the CWT in spring 2025, i hiked parts of it years ago but aim to hike the whole distance next year. I'm also very pleased to see several bothies are in very good condition (in my experience several bothies i came across in the past weren't very pleasant to stay in - dirty, unmaintained, lots of mice etc.).

I've watched a load of cwt videos and this is up there with the best - I've only done sections but it's very tough in all respects - terrain, weather, remoteness, navigation 🙌🏼
Loved your video Floor and congrats on finishing the CWT.👏👏 I live up here just down the road from Oykel Bridge. You would have passed my home on your way back to Inverness on the bus. You got lucky with the weather. That spell in May is the best weather we’ve had all year. I haven’t done the CWT but have walked in all the areas it goes through including sections of the actual trail. I enjoyed revisiting these places through your video. What are you going to tackle next? I look forward to your next video.👍

One thing though, if I met you on the trail I wouldnt be able to keep to your pace😂. You would be too fast for me. I can use a map and compass though😂

Incredible. I live in the UK and it's still hard to think we have a trail so remote like cape wrath. I always thought something like the kungsleden would be best for solitude. Again the soundtrack was awesome as well 😊
Bedankt voor de video Floor! Je inspireert met goede voorbereiding maar dat het ook gewoon een kwestie van doen en durven is. Ik had een beetje aanmoediging nodig om Cape Wrath Trail op mijn 'lijstje' te zetten. Jouw mooie camerabeelden, vrolijke hoofd en dat je net als ik een sterke blonde vrouw alleen in de bergen bent was precies wat ik nodig had!
You are right to point out what a grim, serious predicament it would be, to suffer a bad fall in such remote places ; but, if such a problem ever affected you, I'm sure that all the creatures from the mountains and the forests would come out to assist you ; you would be befriended by a fox (or, perhaps, a wolf) ; 🦊and you would always be remembered as 'The Blessed Saint Floor' : Patron Saint of Dancing/Singing Back-packers 😀
I camped at Sandwood bay at the end of May and it really was something special. Never been to a place quite like it and not sure I ever will again

Wij gaan deze zomer ook naar Fort William om de eerste 110km van de Cape Wrath Trail te hiken en vanaf Shiel Bridge over te schakelen naar de Skye Trail. We twijfelen nog om de klassieke route te nemen of het alternatief dat start via de Great Glen Way.
Dankzij jou video gaan we nu die beslissing kunnen nemen! Dankjewel Floor :)
