Thank you everyone for watching the video! I truly appreciate all feedback, let me know if you have any thoughts, suggestions, etc. I really want to work on improving my content and love to hear from you all!
Wow, reading some of these comments is reminder how one sees either the glass half full or empty. It is a young lady's journey and her positive take on it. Beauty is what you see, many clearly choosing not to see. It is a sweet video, simple and happy. The world needs more of this. Keep on beautiful Elise P.
I can think of a lot more adjectives to describe Hastings, none of them pleasant. I was born there, worked in the town as a taxi driver in the late 80s and early 90s. I do go back occassionally to see my brother, who lives in Battle, and to see old friends but I do not miss the place. Happy to be living in South Yorkshire, a much more pleasant place to live. The Old Town was my favourite place in Hastings.
@@geoffpalmer6424 I was born there too. Moved away 25 years ago. Went back this April to visit friends for a week. When the sun is shining it's nice, especially the old town but it's an odd place. It definately seems to have improved from the 80s/90s but I'm glad I escaped, whilst missing it periodically. It has some cute areas but I think a more fitting way to describe the town is to say it has charecter. Such a random place for an American family to turn up. I have to agree with the lad's question "What do they do here?" lol Good to see they made it to the fire hills, which are stunning.
My family and I had a great time! The locals were all very welcoming and we found so many things to do and sights to see! I hope to go back sometime again
Interesting that you'd never heard of Hastings before when, to Brits, the Battle of Hastings is one of THE defining moments for our identity. Kinda like Lexington and Concord, or Bunker Hill for Americans (which, in fairness, most Brits probably haven't heard of).
Loved this video a bit jumpy sometimes maybe giving us a dog cam shot would be interesting visually and still shots of where you bought food would be cool. Your pieces to camera would be fantastic.
Nice video, very kind to say you liked Hastings, you did find some pretty streets. There really is very little to do there, and the town has too many illegal migrants. In England we don't play soccer, just football.
@davidcross8028 Why would visitors want to go to London, well, if you don't know, perhaps you should go and see it yourself, I'm sure you would find at least one, or maybe even two reasons why.
@@elisepaulina I do agree, but the problem is as someone well known, recently said: London is not an English City anymore. Visitors - particularly Americans - may think that the multi-culture is wonderful, but most Native English do not. It is something which has for the most part been forced upon us since the end of WW2. And at least for me, I begin to see it and feel about it, in the same way that the Native Americans must have felt when they saw the White Man crossing the prairie. Yes he fought them to try and stop the invasion, but the fight was hopelessly one-sided and he ultimately lost. The difference is that as an Englishman, my fight has never gotten of the ground because too many of my own people have been taken in by governmental propaganda, a government that wants the huge changes because of the money it makes and the way it looks to outsiders. And it is particularly galling to me to constantly be told that the British have always been a welcoming race for people fleeing persecution. Deep down we know that the reality is that in the past the numbers were so small as to be unnoticable, whereas today it is quite literally an invasion. We have had these islands to ourselves for a thousand years, since the last successful invasion in 1066, and for many of us today the events of the last 75 years have been traumatic. If you wish to see the real people of Britain, London is NOT the place to go.
Waay too much cutting of shots. Physically distessing to try to watch. Will give people epilepsy, seriously, or affect those who already have it. That's not cool. Shame because I would have enjoyed it even more than I did. Hastings looks to have picked up since I was last there about 10 years ago.

Great video, I live in Hastings and have never heard the town described as ‘cute’ before.

Come on, it's an improvement on 'random'.
Going to Hastings I was unsure of what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! I believe every town, small or large, has its unique charm!

The Old Town is cute. The rest has been in steady decline since the 1980s
I feel dizzy after viewing that.
just about to say the same thing.
This came up as a suggestion for me. The concept really appealed. No sleep, on a plane, travelling 6k miles, random destination = great viewing!
I appreciate your feedback!
Nice video :)
All the best from Ednburgh 🇬🇧
Love it
Made me smile!!
Hastings?
Fish and chips, and and an ice cream is in the rules.
It's a short ride away on the bike.
Keep well

Check out the TV series Foyles War. It is set in Hastings.

Where’s your London video? 😊
Hastings old town is nice, I wouldn’t call the main town terribly nice, defo not cute.
You are sweet, the guy you were with came across as a bit of an ahole though.
Why on Earth visitors to the UK should want to go to London beats me; England Wales and Scotland are the places to go.
Such a persuasive comment. You should work in tourism.

I try to think that every place has its own beauty and culture to be explored 😊

Amazed you found vacation accommodatjon, i thought Hzstings was a dumping ground for mass immigration and channel cruise trippers from France.
