If you feel cheated and it causes you emotional distress then it's best to divorce and move on because that's the best for everyone. Marriage is for peace. If after learning the fact of who she is, you lose your ability feel peace, then there's no point in the marriage anymore.
finally someone smart. allah says in the quran that he created for us mates not for the sake of love but rather peace, if that peace has been breached….whats the goddamn point anymore? “And one of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect.” (30:21)
If a person isn't allowed to ask someone else about the sins in their past, how does it make sense to divorce over it? Her past is none of his business, and he's surely committed his own sins; who is he to hold her past against her? She doesn’t even have to ask for his forgiveness if these events happened before they were married. I understand being upset about it, but since it’s none of his business, he needs to get over it and move on. Otherwise, should he divorce every woman he marries who has sinned before or done something he doesn’t like?
@@ibrahim_-_-_ Do you think Islam calls us to resort to divorce every time a marriage isn’t peaceful? That’s not true. For all brothers or sisters please stay away from zina, don't give in to the peer pressure of your friends or society or social media, change your friends to those who would stop you from walking on the haram path, if still you think you will commit some haram then fast on alternate days, the entire world around us today is just vulgur and degenerate, it's very very easy to sin today, no matter your income just get married at the earliest don't fall into the shaytans trap of becoming stable in career, good bank balance, have own house, car etc. All the best!
Ok so now in this day and age, No father would give their daughter's hand in marriage to an unemployed man. Now the least requirement for a guy to get married is to have a high-end job, a car and a house. So for the majority of the men in our society it's impossible to get married early. And also to get all of these requirements the man already gets to the age of 35-40.
@@IceCream-ki5kp bro, you dont need to have high end job to get married. You just need a proper stable job to get married. The world is vast and there are plenty of virgin religious Muslim girls in the world. If you cant find virgin religious wife in western world, find a wife overseas.
My advice to all our brothers and sisters that aren't married. Please stay far away from zina despite your desires. It can have a detrimental impact on your future. If you can, get married young. You don't have to be financially settled to get married, I wasn't. You have time to grow your wealth later with your spouse
yeh brother but how are we going to get married young if no father is going to hand their daughters to us as, we are not financially stable. idk akhi im struggling with this

Yeah. He sacrificed his whole life and tried to restrict his love for one woman but in the end all these years have been wasted. Now ofcourse this will push him to go for affairs willingly or unwillingly. Thats unfortunate.
This is scary. No man would tolerate this especially if he himself was pure and put it as a requirement before marriage. Anyways may Allah protect everyone and grant all of us good & pure spouses.
Surah An-Nur 26: "Wicked women are for wicked men, and wicked men are for wicked women. And virtuous women are for virtuous men, and virtuous men are for virtuous women. The virtuous are innocent of what the wicked say. They will have forgiveness and an honourable provision." He tells that clean past was one of his requirements for marriage. So, by lying did she violated his haqq. Now he's to blame because his wife is a liar? How could you trust such a wife? That so called sheikh is partly wrong.
And he gives a literal translation of ‘virginity in Islam’ , a woman who has not married before implies that she has not been touched. I really like this sheikh but he is wrong here, and we all make mistakes. May Allah unite us.
If your son weren't a virgin, wouldn't you like him to be forgiven if he repents ? Would you rather have hil being rejected by all potential spouses he may propose to ?

There is a correction I want to point out. Not every unmarried woman is a virgin in Islam, that's not the meaning. Every unmarried woman is assumed to be a virgin, unless there is evidence to suggest otherwise. In this case there was an actual confession, so there is no disparity. And in the Quran Allah tells us to marry so we may find peace, but what peace is one expected to find when you were deceived before the nikah and one of your 2 conditions were not fulfilled. It's really up to the man, but if this was my close relative or a friend I really care about who asked me for advise, I would tell him to divorce

Agree. Men are told to marry women who are appealing to them in order to bring a sense of calm and happiness to their hearts. But when that feeling is no longer there, and has changed into something that makes you unhappy. Divorce is the best way. But do it peacefully. Divorce and get married again. No wrong about it. Islam is not christian.
what this sheikh and so many others do not realise is how detrimental this is for the future of marriage. People who previously engaged with other men, especially multiple men/non practicing /non-muslim men are then psychologically used to the novelty of multiple partners, accustomed to doing un-islamic sexual acts , acting out their vile desires, these people eventually get bored of their spouse or start comparing them to previous partners and probably end up committing parental fraud. Sure, Allah is ever merciful and can forgive, but there's no stipulation on men to forgive, but only to conceal. just imagine for a second, if this was a man, who had told the wife he is very wealthy or financially stable, but then after marriage it turns out he wasn't, the wife would be running to the courts to get a divorce or to the islamic juror for a khul. double effing standards, why do we men have to get the short end of the stick everytime?? just because we want a wife, want to have intimate relations and want to have kids?? No thank you, ask one of the men you slept with you to marry you, let's see what they have to say.
This argument is hilarious. Muslim guys get the shorter end of the stick in marriage? Seriously? A Muslim wife literally has to tolerate a second, third, or fourth wife if her husband decides to take them, she literally has to depend on her husband's permission to work or even education, and she has to go wherever her husband goes to live, even if her husband lies to her before marriage about being wealthy (which is boasting and definitely not the same as concealing your sins when you are asked about it) and later finds that he is not so rich, she will have to go to a court for khula and may even have to give up the mahr, whereas the husband can divorce his wife whenever he wants without asking anyone's permission. The list goes on and you guys still get the shorter end! Sure!
@JannatRiyatahasin All the things you mentioned are rights given by Allah. And the main point is why should anyone especially those who fear Allah and guard their private parts take a Zani as their spouse?
I don't think Sheikh truly understood, the guy was a virgin and wanted a virgin and rightfully so, men have higher sex drive than women yet my guy stayed virgin despite his sexual desires, you have no idea how hard it must've been for him, and all he asked in return was a wife who's a virgin. So why are you telling him to accept it, it's not even about forgiveness it's about the fact that she lied to him and she was not the kind of person he wanted, so why are you telling him to suck it up???? He has the full right to divorce her, so stop saying "if Allah forgives her sins why can't you?" Because my guy ain't known as "the all forgiving", plus it ain't about forgiveness it's about the kind of person he wanted to share his life with. So disappointed on Sheikh's advice
No you are wrong. The past is the past. If you committed a major sin in the past, would you want us to stone 🪨 you for it or would you like to repent and like a second chance to reform yourself and be forgiven? When it comes to others you don't want to give them a chance but when it comes to you it's a different issue. May Allah deal with people like you.

As a historian, the Sheikh COMPLETELY disregards the FACT that for thousands of years up until the 2000s in all Muslim societies, 99% of women would ONLY have sex in marriage. The 1% were prostitutes and EVERYONE knew that they were prostitutes or the rare slut. Adultery was also very rare for the married women. Completely disregarding this reality that NEVER existed during the time of the companions or any sahaba. There is even the hadeeth where the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him advised marrying a virgin to one of the sahabas instead of a previously MARRIED widow or divorcee woman. The MARRIED being the emphasis. He is basing his judgement on it being okay to marry a divorcee or widow and equating it with a woman who has not preserved her chastity for a husband but rather given it out freely. The men MARRYING knew 100% that a woman that was NOT a divorcee or a widow were virgins. Even that hadeeth is a testament to that fact. I believe with this modern reality, it is a right for a man to KNOW what he's getting as the basic virginity and purity of a marriage expectation has been absolved and destroyed. Such statements by Sheikhs only assist in giving Muslim women courage to go down the path of more debauchery expecting it to be "accepted" by their future husbands to be...
Nobody has a right to know about another person’s sins. It is a major sin to expose your wrongdoings as Allah (ﷻ) covers the sins of the person at night as though a blanket has been put over them. To throw this blanket away is an insult to Allah (ﷻ) and shows pride in the sin. Cursed is the one who exposes either their own sins or the sins of another. Asking someone to expose their sins and expecting that to be a right is completely impermissible. Whatever is in a person’s past is none of your business. You bring up the sahaba (رضي الله عنهما) but do you not know that some of the greatest of them were also the greatest enemies of Islam in their past such as ‘Amr ibn al-‘As (رضي الله عنه) prior to him accepting Islam yet we would never dare hold that over him. You claim to be a historian, and even though this is not a matter of history but of Islamic rulings, I will entertain it for you: do you not know that among the companions, there were those who used to drink alcohol and whom were not virgins? However, when a person accepts Islam, all of their sins are forgiven and it is the very same with the one who seeks forgiveness, so who are we to judge a person’s past if it is forgiven by the True Judge (ﷻ) ? I’ll leave you with one hadith on the matter. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself."
@Silence4725 Your point is valid regarding the sahaba that were men. As I pointed out, there was prostitution and naturally the prostitute ratio was not 1 FEMALE prostitute serving one man. She would service many men of which it is possible that there may have been male sahaba prior to their conversion. Everyone in those societies KNEW who the prostitutes were. Everyone KNEW who was married, divorced and/or widowed. You KNEW what you were getting into with a woman. Failing to understand that basic societal condition and reality and the advice of the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him to marry a VIRGIN to the MALE sahaba when he mentioned that he would marry a woman with children so she could take care of his siblings. Asking a woman IF she was a virgin would be considered lunacy because a NON-VIRGIN did NOT exist amongst non-married bachelor women. I believe that scholars should look at it from this lens and figure out a way to understand and vet because unlike use of alcohol, there is also a very real psychological thing that men undergo called "Retroactive Jealousy." Do you question taking the advice of the Prophet? I doubt it. So how do you carry out his Sunnah? Women do not undergo that and do not experience physical or physiological muscle contractions like getting kicked in the stomach. Men do and it festers in the mind with men till the day they die.

Moreover you will not find yourself comfortable with such person as your requirement is breached. I am sure brother tried to get the words from her mouth by speaking such word as "pure" so that emotionally she will speak the truth. This guy would have already noticed whether she is virgin or not. What i agree is that sheikh said if she is now God fearing, following her deen religiously and trying to be best for him then that's fine, no need to divorce her.
@Nomad_Adventurer no need to divorce her. But best to get another wife as well so you don't end up resenting your 1st wife for damaging your self worth.

So a woman just gets away. I as a man keep myself from all the temptations, contain myself from premarital relations and I can't even ask for a virgin wife. Meanwhile she can do whatever she wants as long as she repents and keeps it hidden and away from the husband. This is just unfair.
Have a problem? Go and have a word with the prophet. We all know he is the best person to ever live and you already know he'll say the same things as sheikh.😂
Come on stop arguing over this. For both man and woman, Zina is so dangerous. Both of them must stay away from it. And it's required for both of them to repent for their mistakes. If a man or woman gets engaged in Zina or premarital relations, he/she must repent to Allah for that. If they feel genuinely guilty for their mistakes, inshallah Allah will forgive them. You heard the sheikh saying Allah can even forgive those who shirq. Then of course He can forgive these men and women. Islam is all about equality. About men and women equality, Allah said, “So their Lord responded to them: “I will never deny any of you-male or female-the reward of your deeds. Both are equal in reward….”4 (Quran 3:195). So please stop this argument. Men and women are same. They are made for each other. Husband and wife should forgive each other for their past mistakes if they have repented. Cause Allah is almighty. He created us, if He can forgive us, why can't we? Both man and woman can end a relationship they don't want. If you don't feel happy with your husband or wife, then leave. It's not about gender. It's the same for man and woman. Allah will forgive **ANYONE** who repents. May Allah forgive all of us for our mistakes. Amin.
@sadique7359, The Sheikh is giving his opinion according to Quran and Hadith. So, it is safe to assume that the prophet will most likely have the same opinion.

That definition of a virgin is not correct astaghfirullaah. Not a fair answer & I would even seek advice from more scholars for validity of this advice given. It's easy to say you won't care if not having personally experienced a certain situation. If he made his "requirements" known then she should not have accepted his proposal because that is deceptive.

I don't think most of the people understood what he said, In summery, their relationship was just fine, when she didn't reveal her sin that she repented from. Now she disclosed her sins he doesn't want to be with her which is understandable. Also forgiveness is a biggest plus a human can have, Every time anyone asks for forgiveness Allah forgives them (Allah is not bound to it but he is merciful and he forgives because he wills it) so we as his creation, should also think about forgiveness because it is such a noble and good thing. And then at the end he said in the end it's his decision. Meaning it isn't sinful but as you know devorce is disliked by Allah but not haram.
We need to understand Allah is Allah because he can forgive any sin no matter what, humans are creations of creator and both are different, Allah has put different emotions in us for different reasons, sometimes it happens you are not able to forgive which is totally fine as long as you are not cursing and backbiting about the person specially if he/she has repented, just leave them as they are and mind your own business if you are unable to forgive. Humans are weak because of emotions
@@pecha0 Yes however that doesn't make them flawless and emotionless, Allah can forgive gravest sin however humans are not capable enough to forgive sins like zina , specially emotional forgiveness, however it doesn't mean they taunt, curse the person, if you are hurt deeply and unable to forgive the person who has already repented, you should move ahead with your life and don't talk slander that person, that's it. For everyone saying sheikh missed the point you guys are naiive, Sheikh is not only saving a house from being torn apart, but is also telling the man to be mature about this, when Allah never reveals what sins you have done in the past and if somehow you get to know them, doesn't mean the person is still bad. If they are kind and they do everything according to Islam, then what's wrong? Since Allah forgives everything, you can't forgive a person for being how they were just because now you know what they did? And what if you marry a virgin woman and she goes and cheats behind your back and doesn't tell you? What then? Only Allah knows, so be kind to your spouses.

We should mention the matter of virginity before the marriage is finalised (of course in a civil, mature way). Expectations more or less end up with disasters. Precautionary measures are the best for avoiding such situations InshaAllah. Dear Brothers and Sisters, protect yourselves from the traps of human and jinn shayateen.
I think there is nothing wrong with the man if he really didn't pressure her or have any other hidden intentions. If he is a clean person, it is really a very difficult test from Allah that he has to marry this woman. I hope the brother finds peace. He needs to take his time to calm his mind and if it becomes completely difficult for him to endure, I see no wrong of him to leave the girl. But I also agree with Sheikh, he needs to try and see things from the Sheikh's perspective first. May Allah make it easy for him.
i noticed always woman defending this and saying whats the problem if shes not virgin.. and then i remember what rasool allah said majority of jahunnami will be woman
The problem that is completely ignored by the Sheikh is the context behind how both these people use the term “virgin” The context from the man was whether or not she had partaken in pre-marital engagements before they had met. She re-contextualized this to say ‘she has never been married before’, hence her answer of “no” The problem isn’t that she told the truth through the context of Islam, the problem is she knew what context he was framing the question and re-framed it to intentionally deceive him to get married This is a woman not worth marrying as she will only bring further troubles if she is already lying just to get married, especially given that she is willing to mischaracterize the religion so casually
The context here matters a lot! Firstly, the condition this brother had, he wanted to marry a chaste person like he was, and did he or did he not make it clear. Secondly, no person is allowed to disclose his/her sins which ALLAH has concealed. Third, then how he could have known if she was a virgin or not if she should have concealed her sins. Also he or no person has the right to ask this question to anyone. Scenario 1: So the ideal thing to have been done in this case before marriage is that the brother should have just put the conditions that he wants to marry a pious, ALLAH fearing, one who prays her Salah and most importantly a Virgin & chaste person. And assuming that the Sister had changed her life and repented from her sins and was already a GOD fearing lady when this proposal came, she should have still rejected the proposal without giving any reasons whatsoever or disclosing her sins. Scenario 2: If There was no such condition put by the brother before marriage, he does not have any right to blame the sister now. Assuming that there was no pressure on her and the sister disclosed her sin in naivety (which btw is another sin in itself and shouldn't have been done), even then the brother doesn't have any right to blame her for her past and the better thing to do would be to move on in life given that she's a pious person and has changed her ways. Either way, now that this thing is out in the open, if the condition was put before marriage and the sister lied or did not reject the proposal knowing very well what the man wanted, this is deceit and better thing for them would be to separate, no questions asked. And if there was not such conditions clearly defines before marriage, high chances are that once this thing came out in the open, the brother might be scarred mentally, and that varies from person to person. If the brother is certain that he cannot forgive and forget, then it's better to just separate and move on rather than destroying each other's life as the barrier of trust between them has broken and no matter what, he will never ever trust her again period. But if he chooses to ignore this, or this is something he understands happened in the past, and he was not that concerned about before marriage, and gives her a second chance as we are always advised to think good of people, especially if there are children involved, and the brother has the mental strength to move forward, he should keep her with him. The answer from Sheikh is on point though. Whatever she was before marriage, if she's an excellent mother and wife then it's your call akhi at the end of the day...
for your kind of knowledge what guarantee is there that she won't commit zina again? commit zina then apologize to Allah and destroy the mental health of husband wowo
Sheikh missed the point, may Allah forgive him. The man made it a marraige requirement, so that has to be respected. Also the sheikh is incorrect about the definition of a virgin. This is not acceptable from the woman. She needs to accept who she was and hopefully the new person who she is, but also must respect the requirements a man has put forth. If she doesn't fit those requirements, she doesn't have to marry him, but to cheat him is wrong and she is deserving of a divorce. We as muslims cannot cheat people then apply our own subjective definitions on something clear like virginity in order to get the best of both worlds at the expense of somebody's honor: it is wrong and disingenuine. May Allah compensate this man and provide him the virgin he is looking for. The sister should have maybe married someone previously divorced or become someone's second wife, but she shouldn't have cheated this man into a marraige. I am assuming everything the man said in this context was true as we only know one side of the story, and Allah knows best. May Allah forgive me for whatever incorrect thing I said.
Also doesn't Allah (azawajal) give the definition of a virgin within the Qur'an? Someone untouched by any man. Can someone find the ayat? JazakAllah khyr. @@PerspectiveNarrative No, a virgin is someone sexually untouched by a man, regardless of marraige. Having a nikah does not immediately make you a non virgin. There is a correction I want to point out. Not every unmarried woman is a virgin in Islam, that's not the meaning. Every unmarried woman is assumed to be a virgin, unless there is evidence to suggest otherwise. In this case there was an actual confession, so there is no disparity.
This is what people fail to realise is that Allah forgives and overlooks but not human beings.
the guy is a human, not Allah

So why are you telling him to accept it, it's not even about forgiveness it's about the fact that she lied to him and she was not the kind of person he wanted, so why are you telling him to suck it up????
He has the full right to divorce her, so stop saying "if Allah forgives her sins why can't you?" Because my guy ain't known as "the all forgiving", plus it ain't about forgiveness it's about the kind of person he wanted to share his life with.

@@omerfarukkaratas2742 Akhi, the hadith on the Prophet (ﷺ) advising the man to marry the virgin does not relate to zina, it relates to a previous marriage. Amin.

@@Eren-Ereinnawe gave them too much freedom so much so that they started blaming men for their faults
The problem that is completely ignored by the Sheikh is the context behind how both these people use the term “virgin”
The context from the man was whether or not she had partaken in pre-marital engagements before they had met. She re-contextualized this to say ‘she has never been married before’, hence her answer of “no”
The problem isn’t that she told the truth through the context of Islam, the problem is she knew what context he was framing the question and re-framed it to intentionally deceive him to get married
This is a woman not worth marrying as she will only bring further troubles if she is already lying just to get married, especially given that she is willing to mischaracterize the religion so casually
She have no right to lie

Bro Im not a muslim but for you I would advise if you don’t divorce her Then marry 3 more lawfully..👍
just change the scenario. What if man was instead of her? i dont think she has left the guy
no self respecting wom should tolerate a non pure mn and a mn who wants a sec
Please sisters leave those mn who blong to stret!
What a nice answer, this is what ISLAM is all about. Alhamdulillah for being a Muslim
He is ignorant. If the sister is not virgin, she can simply reject his proposal.
Marriage is one kind of contract. If I am virgin and I want my wife to be virgin. Then she must have to be virgin.
If She promised that she is Virgin and after marriage i found out that she was not then it is clearly violation of the contract and clearly cheating. I always see that whenever it comes to this almost all scholar tell a man to compromise and forgive her. What is this bro?
What about the broken trust in this marriage?
She could have tell him before..
I have a solution for that both sinful girl and sinful guy who repented to Allah should marry each other same for reverted ones who were practicing some other rituals and reverted to Islam should marry each other it is just like doctors prefer doctors to marry 😂😂
What Sheikh is doing here is convincing this man to not divorce her because of her past, because maybe she has repented now. Allah(S.W.T) also dislikes divorce. But he will not be sinful if he divorces her.
