He also made a cameo in Wolverine & The X-Men as one of Magento's prisoners. I had no idea his name was a tribute to Sauron from LOTR. All this time I thought it was a coincidence.
I still have the three-part Wolverine Comic where Wolverine Jubilee Rogue go to the Savage land looking for evidence of Magneto. This was just before Magneto took out Wolverines adamantium through his pores.
So overlooked Sauron is not one to be messed with, the X-Men animation gave him justice his human counterpart couldn’t control himself his powers were ridiculous and even put storm under his control, definitely could have ruled over the Savage Land with an iron fist

I like Sauron from the X-Men Comics because he absorbs the powers of Mutants to transform into a Pterodactyl -like Creature.
