@@expandapantsii341 Emphasising. Like, for real, Disney are full assholes at this point, so they giving direct advice on writing an asshole-type character, while thinking they're doing great, would be overwhelmingly fitting.
Also, not so important actually, but the fact that a story with an asshole lawyer MC this bad, came out barely two months after the phenomenal Better Call Saul finale, makes it all the more jarring.
Wish you had a short section talking about Jen's original character in the comic, which is what makes this the biggest tragedy in Marvel. The character of Jen Walters is actually extremely charming, she's a wise-cracking sass much like Peter Parker. She loves her cousin Bruce, who she is grateful to have been saved by, as her transformation into She-hulk actually was a huge boost to her life. She loved being She-hulk, and it empowered her. She didn't care if people thought she was monstrous, weird, or a freak. She was meant to be the opposite of Bruce. A woman who wanted to be seen, and found, and not have to hide who she truly was.
@@garenthal9638 You have that backwards. You think she is charming. Most people did not, which is evidenced by the poor performance of a show that had every advantage when it started.
@@billedens4749 the majority of the people who you say don’t like her already decided they didn’t like her before it came out. I actually think the show is pretty bad but she is great. Main issue is the writing. Tatiana Maslany gave a good performance and has the marvel charm that an actor needs to fit in. Brie Larson does not have that charm. When she hulk is in movies like secret wars with other people writing it people will start to like her more because she is likable. Captain Marvel is hated all around because she is just not a likable person
Jessica Gao really let that pickle Rick episode go through her head , she actually think that she's a genius and her will shall be done no matter how stupid it sounds or looks like
Jessica Gao is guaranteed to die alone, in her apartment, not found or discovered for days, and no one will miss her or hold a funeral for her. Her and everyone like her, will end up like that. She will never learn from her mistakes and never grow as a person. I can't even hate someone so toxic and miserable, you already know how their life is going to end.
What bothered me most was the fact that she didn't want Hulk to help her in the end because it was "her show" yet we've watched Loki, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange, and Thor become damn near bystanders next to their female counterparts in their own shows.
What I like about Hawkeye though is that she at least never one-upped him. He actually had to train her and she had to allow him The agenda is still there, but it's done better than these other shows
In the examples you are listing, we already know about those characters so the writing focused on introducing new. In she hulk she is the new character so she is the focus. The guys you listed are not going to be around much longer
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp That's true. But at least she had to train under him before getting that title. It's still cringe as she's so young and he is still alive. But I still think Hawkeye handled the new generation better than any film so far
How I would have fixed She-Hulk: 1. Cast an actually tall, athletic woman to play She-Hulk, use practical effects to make her look even bigger compared to the other actors, and use CG to "Steve Rogers" her down to "Jen size." Why? Because, in the comics, Jen actually prefers her Hulk form and feels more confident as a Hulk, so she stays Hulk all the time. 2. Make THAT her story arc. In the beginning of the series, she hates being Hulk, and the series is about her accepting it and she becomes She-Hulk 24/7. 3. I like your idea about the Abomination case being one long arc. Let's keep that. Also, the complication that she may end up having to defend Wong as well for breaking Abomination out of prison. 4. Fewer 4th wall breaks. I know Jen does it in the comics, but the MCU just acquired Deadpool, so let's not overdo it. 5. Write an actually compelling character and story. 6. Hire a legal consultant for the court drama part of the story. 7. Don't. Let. She-Hulk. Twerk.
Or as part of Haveing her accepting it Have her work with banner to merge her hulk together giving banner a reason to be in the show and a setup for a mentor style connection with him
Also, maybe have some actually funny jokes. And not shit on men every 20 seconds. And stop pretending that Jen is anywhere near as strong as Banner. And show her original backstory where she is recused.
Can we add like her struggling to use an control her powers make her relatable more rage shit do a time skip or a montages. That's why I liked moon knight he struggled over time but slowly got better
Because Deadpool is an actual good movie with actual good casting, directing, script, etc. Plus, was made by Fox. Not Marvel, which is why it's better.
So they’re just going to ignore that time the apple store employee called Steve Rogers a “specimen” as a compliment? Like, yeah, that’s fine, but when it happens to Jen (who repeatedly talks about Steve like a piece of meat), it’s a cardinal sin. Okay, cool.
Tbf the context is very obviously different. Its not perverted at all to compliment a bro whose obviously worked hard on his physique, and is going on a honeymoon with his hot wife (from the employee’s perspective). It was just a nerdy compliment from a somewhat socially awkward dude - a response from Natasha’s sarcastic “you must be twins” I don’t like she hulk, not trying to defend the show, but calling a woman a “specimen” on your first date is a creepy red flag in itself. It’s plain to see why Jen (or any self respecting woman) would be grossed out and even troubled by that remark, in that context. A better comparison would be that one h*rny female officer in First Avenger who took advantage of Cap (who was clearly uncomfortable in the situation). Both the officer and “toxic man 3” had little regard for the respective main character and tried to take advantage of them, showing how easily both genders can be harassed. I appreciate that the early mcu at least tried to show a female taking advantage of a strong man like Cap bc that shit happens to everyone unfortunately
@@vincesaenz2760 "A better comparison would be that one h*rny female officer in First Avenger who took advantage of Cap" You know, the one who groped and kissed him without his permission or prior interest? @@Luke_SkywaIker I generally agree with what you're saying in this comment. But I do think the scene in CA:TFA proves there is a slight double standard. After all, unlike Jen - who gets to be angry about her sexual harrassment, Steve is victim-blamed, slut-shamed, and physically attacked by his love interest. And we know that the Marvel writers don't think Peggy's reaction would be acceptable if the genders were reversed because in the same movie Steve also wrongfully assumes Peggy is involved with Howard and he doesn't attack her for it. They also don't have a role-reversal of this scene in the Captain Carter episode of the "What If" series.
When Jen told Bruce that she didn't have anger issues, i thought that it was part of her development. That by the end of the show, she would acept that she actually has anger issues, and learn that accepting that isn't a weakness, but a strenght. But that didn't happen, even when the final episode had the perfect chance to do that, after Jen's violent reaction when Todd revealed all those videos.
I thought that was what they were going for, especially at the penultimate episode when she got angry and lost everything because of it. Them the last episode was at age was wronged… and she Karen’s the writers to change the ending… the F!!
@@GreyKnight7777 it’s not that expectations where subverted. It’s that bad writing is grating. Ever hear of chekhov’s gun? Well if not neither did the writers. When the writers create a plot point, character thinks they have anger under control, to then show her life being trashed because of lack of control of anger. Then to have her fix it, not by actual character growth, but by complaining to the robot god who was never referenced before that point… it’s more then a missed opportunity. It’s nails to a chalkboard bad writing.
They had a chance to have She-Hulk stand for true justice, exposing how the justice system is broken and her struggle to fight against the corruption, but no. How you look on social media, dating issues, celebrities and dealing with petty 1st world problems are exactly what you should expect from She-Hulk Attorney At Law.
let me pitch you an idea: She-Hulk Season 2 with a lot more Daredevil, this exact plot, Pheonix Wright and Saul Goodman as side characters and Monokuma as the villian!
Rumor has it, the Loki show. That time agency is supposed to be Disney. The writers just taking subtle jabs at how working for Disney turns you into a NPC.
I don't think so, they clearly don't know how to make She Hulk show. They don't understand the character and just turn her into something fit their propaganda.
The main issue with most of these female lead, writer self insert character stories revolves around one thing… They don’t get character arcs because that would force the writer to put her character(herself) down in some way. A character has to fall down in some way before they can raise back up. That’s the foundation of any good character arc, but it can never happen to any of these strong female characters because that would mean that first need to be knocked down, and the writers can’t have that.
you defined the problem in one short sentence "writer self insert character story" self insert characters are always the need of an egocentric person to prove they are better than what they are. and I know this because I'm no different than that. I have failed to write any decent story because I end self inserting myself as one of the main characters.
@@WilliamWizer I’ve never written anything to that extent, but I imagine it’s gotta be hard sometimes not to self insert in some way, even if it’s subconsciously.

@Alteori That's almost literally what Jessica Gao did; someone who has serious issues and baggage, who decided to literally waste millions of dollars of her employer's money to "troll the audience," in one big giant therapy coping session for herself and all her equally misandrist writers (as well as literally having a giant therapy session for herself and writers in the actual show.) And Marvel Studios, since they let them do it, deserved to lose all that money. But the character of She Hulk didn't deserve to be destroyed like this, and the audience didn't deserve this level of hate, either. Anyone who could write a female character this badly has to hate women.

I can't stand feminist movies/shows for that reason. Don't let me rub you the wrong way, I think everyone should have equal rights no matter the gender, sexuality, race, etc, but they only thrive with convenient misogyny, incompetence or having an actually good man for their storyline. Beautiful video that touches RIGHT on the subject matter at hand, especially around the 10:00 mark. There's a wild misunderstanding in Hollywood writing these days that the only way to get an audience to connect with movie characters, they have to relate to them by means of gender, race, or sexual orientation. This is not true. A man can watch Alien and find ways to connect to Ellen Ripley, just like a woman can watch a Spider-Man movie and relate to Peter Parker. Sadly, the writers of today can't understand this. Excellent video! Gave it a thumbs up!
THIS. I've also seen the misunderstanding affect Japanese media, in this case, the new Mobile Suit Gundam show. Witch from Mercury is made by and for people who don't get Gundam. The concept of a female protagonist however, SHOULD have worked because Mobile Suit Gundam has tons of memorable female characters in the franchise. Sayla Mass from the original show? Marida Cruz from the Unicorn OVA? Cagalli Yula [Atha] from SEED? All of these characters could be relatable to male viewers, just like how Amuro Ray, Banagher Links and even Kira Yamato could be rooted for by women. However, Witch from Mercury didn't get this, and instead, under the belief that "GUNDAM IS FOR OLD FOLKS SO LET'S UPDATE IT FOR MODERN AUDIENCES!", decided to make a High School Lesbian Romance, which is just UUUUUGH... so frustrating and hateful. It's quite telling that now, the fanbase is suffering from an invasion of fake "fans" who misunderstand the franchise like how the staff do, and that there's no safe haven. Witch from Mercury used the Hollywood woke misunderstanding, and it is damaging the franchise.

Throughout the show's first season, we learn where he came, how rotten his father is, the trauma from his past, and how all of that molded him into the person he is, but also it shows him grow and learn from both his victories and his failures, and in the end he finds redemption. He's still not perfect, but he comes a long way, gaining friends, developing clearer morals and values, rising above his villainous father's abuse, and becoming the hero he had always sought to be. On top of all of that, the show was fucking hilarious.. Basically every thing She-Hulk did terribly, Peacemaker did it right.

Also, She-Hulk somehow manages to ruin the worldbuilding of the MCU even more by repealing the Sokovia Accords, which renders the Civil War film entirely meaningless now. You'd think that, after the events of Phase 4, the UN would want even more regulations and restrictions placed on superpowered individuals, because in the eyes of the average person, they clearly can't control themselves. And after what Wanda did in Westview - *_enslaving an entire town of over 3,000 people_* - and what Jennifer did in Episodes 6 and 8, which was start a fight at a *wedding reception hall* and *destroy the top level of a parking garage and multiple cars,* public opinion of superpowered individuals would be *down.* And now this finale has made the entirety of She-Hulk season 1 pointless. I think the amount of good Camille did for male victims of female abuse is incredible, I never even thought about the Me Too movement as a full-time father who experienced years of abuse with no escape because of the custody double standard, and the abuse double standard's prevalence. Women are always stereotyped as better parents even when the dad raises his daughter 100% alone. Women are always stereotyped as the victims of domestic abuse, even when the man is bleeding from the nose with a fat swollen lip after being punched repeatedly in the face while sitting there and taking it. A man can get beat up without provocation without fighting back and still get arrested more often than the actual criminal when that criminal is a female. And when a child growing up alone with an abuser like that is at stake, and custody laws give children to mothers so frequently, I would take a million times the physical abuse to save my daughter from being targeted. Its an escapable. And Camilla helped Johnny not just because Amber was the abuser, but even more so because Amber was the abuser AND the accuser! That sentiment is beyond f'd up, and creates a beyond unlivably painful life situation for the true victim.

actually during custody, 94% of times when men filed for custody over their children they got it. The court doesn't favour women in custody its just that men don't file for custody in the first place because they don't wanna take care of their own children. Quite a big misconception
@@RED-my9hl Where is this statistic from? source please. By the way, it isn't that men don't file for custody. The system is built around not giving them custody. If a man has a child with a woman, and isn't there to sign the birth certificate, then custody automatically goes to the woman. If the woman wants to, she can quickly sign the birth certificate, or even refuse to share it with the man, because she has the power over the birth certificate when their child is born. If a man isn't married to a woman, then custody automatically goes to the woman. The man has guardianship, but does not have legal custody even if they sign the birth certificate. And their sounds like some mysogyny in your words when you phrase them like, "men don't file because they don't wanna take care of their own children." Because I am a man and my daughter's only parent, while her mother goes off doing heroin, smoking crack, prostituting herself, every terrible influence that I refuse to let my little girl see her birth mother engaging in. Yet she can still come back home and terrify me by threatening to take her away because SOMEHOW she still has custody. I do not do drugs, do not drink, and fully devoted myself to my daughter the day I fell in love with her, the day she was born. I even home school her just to build a stronger bond and be able to give her the 1 on 1 attention that schools of 30 unfortunately can never give a student. She learns at an astronomical rate compared to when I was in public school I cannot believe it and at 5 she is where I was in 3rd grade. But I did notice that the home schooling community is almost entirely made up of women. But the thing is that neither men nor women are bound by their biology, gender and genetics to be either ABLE or UNABLE to raise their child with unconditional and undying love and devotion; its a choice that requires the openness to learn and complete devotion to your child's wellbeing and trust me, there are degenerate women and degenerate men alike. @@RED-my9hl your claim doesn't pass the eye test. I'm sure there is some doctored up stat that makes the situation look better than it is. I've never seen men running around impregnating as many baby mamas as possible to collect a paycheck. I have seen a lot of women do just that.
Titania stood out to me. For how bad she was depicted. She's supposed to be a major villain to she-hulk. In episode 1 she smashes through a wall and has a quick fight with she-hulk. No one knows why she showed up or what she was doing there. Then she copyrights the she-hulk name and sells some products. Villain behavior at it's best 😂She finally has 1 last fight with she-hulk at the wedding and again, no one really knows why she is the villain or dislikes she-hulk. Ultimately us "toxic fans" were the real villain because the showrunner told us so. I guess this is why the actual villain character in the show had no backstory at all, barely any lines, and only appeared a handful of times over the 9 episodes. My 9 year old nephew could've written a better show. This was absolutely awful in every way imaginable. I also noticed She-Hulk's body count. I counted 4 guys in a very short period of time. Which means she would've been stacking up 40-50 bodies in a year. Never in my life have I heard a guy refer to a hot hick as "it." I'm older and grew up at a time where if someone did that say no one would be offended and it might even have gotten a laugh. I grew up around some guys that maybe would say something like that. Yet when drunk of out their minds I still never heard anyone say this. One last thing, all the cameos, I noticed this b4 the 1st episode even aired and told multiple friends the show NEEDS these cameos from bigger more well know characters to help carry it and that's an enormous red flag. There is a reason Marvel picked this show to do Daredevil's 1st appearance in the MCU. The 1st Tom Holland Spider-man did this because Marvel wasn't sure Holland could carry the movie plus he wasn't known to American audiences. So they brought in RDJ to help carry it. This made sense but RDJ was the only cameo and it turns out Holland was fantastic and probably didn't need RDJ in that film.
Bro, for real. That's another character this series screwed up besides She-Hulk herself. Titania is essentially the Joker to She-Hulk's Batman, yet they treat her like an inconvenient nuisance at best, which is insulting.
@@bibi-bi9qu it’s a caricature of objectification. That’s the point. Of course men aren’t that over the top about it in real life, but objectification is real. And it’s fine. And it’s fine for women to feel annoyed by it. And it’s fine to make a comedy show for women to vent their frustrations. It doesn’t mean you think men are bad.
Scrubs is a light hearted show. But when they talk about serious stuff it is impactful and amazing. The Janitor spending a whole day with a patient that was paralyzed was so good I still rewatch it to this day.
Same can be said about MASH. It’s a comedy for the most part, but isn’t afraid of pulling out the emotional and serious stuff, which makes sense since it takes place in the middle of a war.

It’s funny because Hollywood used to make strong female leads better than they have in recent years. It’s almost like when they specifically try to make them a strong female boss bitch, they fail, but when they didn’t really try and were just focused on making a decent movie, they succeeded. Lara Croft is a good strong female character because they focused on making a good movie and character, and didn’t focus on the fact that she was a women. She went through trials and hardships, she wasn’t insufferable and immediately amazing at everything. I just don’t understand how people nowadays think that these “strong females characters” are good. I would NEVER want my daughter to look up to a female character who puts men down, is completely obsessed with herself past the point of general confidence, is born amazing at fighting or whatever and never had to work for it. A good lesson would’ve been if She Hulk did allow Hulk to help her. Boom, teaches kids and everyone that you can’t immediately be great at everything, and seeking help from people with more experience than you is invaluable. But no, teach them to be conceded assholes who never have to work for anything and overshadow every male no matter what.

I LOVED that movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once". And i enjoyed how they reversed traditional gender roles with her husband and didn't do it in such a ham fisted way.. to the point that I bet most of you didn't even notice they did it. 90s Star Trek (TNG & DS9) also did it very well.
I'm not a homosexual person but I still find it kinda insulting that the show represents almost every gay character as the same? Like, it's like they turned the term homosexual into a personality (which is literally just being feminine and shit) rather than what it is, a sexuality And that's not even a problem in just this show, it's literally a problem in everything

Yeah my wife said the same about the show. We kept our kids away from it. She Hulk and this show is a bad role model for girls. All men are not like this. It's all about hating men. And they changed She Hulk origin too. She was dying and Bruce gave her his blood.
They changed it cause this show is only about empowering women so they will never show a woman needing help from a man cause they're better than everyone all of a sudden
Sometime Its like jessica gao is putting in the serie everything that she wanted to happen to her like everyone telling she is amazing and every men around her is just a bad person. It can happen a lot when you write a story and then you realize you just made a character based on yourself
I have a sneaking suspicion that the writers were extremely insulated females who never actually experienced these various stylizations of men. Merely, they were romanticizing being a victim because that’s what they heard it’s like when men actually show interest because these women have never actually had a man interested in them to begin with, sad.
when i was like 7 i wrote a comic where the characters from a star trek show (i forget which one but me and my dad watched it all the time) were all furbies and i recently found the notebook i drew it in. my NINE YEAR OLD FURBY TREK COMIC made me laugh more than she hulk. i also loved the part about social commentary not being a bad thing altogether and i really appreciate you including your girlfriend’s opinion, i think those were great points
I saw the first episode and I’m already questioning the hell out of this show. I’m glad that they gave us the reasons WHY and HOW Bruce Banner and the Hulk became “Smart Hulk by Endgame and how Banner reverted to his human form, but they should make either a standard Hull series or film showing WHAT the pair had to go through mentally to achieve it. Apart from that positive, the episode is just confusing. How does only a few drops of blood from Banner into Jen’s wounds cause her to transform into She-Hulk? Bruce acts as though she absorbed tons of gamma radiation but she wasn’t the one who survived a gamma bomb blast at close range! Secondly, I refuse to believe that after gaining her “She-Hulk” form, Jen is able to perfectly master her abilities and just tells Bruce that she will ignore it. Bruce has delt with this power for over a decade and juggled a split personality that was the manifestation of his childhood trauma and abuse! How can Jen essentially view this new power that could be stolen to create another Abomination and that makes her a superhero, but view it only as an inconvenience?! And finally, this squabbling cause Jen to attack her cousin, causing Bruce’s rage to boil over and for them to fight! Just Why? After that, I’m probably going to skip this series.
Well for the personality stuff banner had a traumatic childhood that made him have a different personality in the future but in her case she's like a normal person who doesn't deal with anger issues
People who defend the finale, by saying that the comics broke the fourth wall in a similar manner, and say that the MCU is actually really clever for doing so, miss the point. The MCU's fourth-wall breaking has been mild. Looking at the camera, referencing plot clichés, etc. The sudden 180 into the characters being aware that they're in a multi-million dollar franchise completely undermines everything. I can buy Kang and the TVA making sure that the timeline runs the way it does. But imagine Pepper Potts discovering that Tony died because a bunch of nerds in a writers room dictated it. Imagine anyone in the MCU discovering that they either died or lost loved ones for 5 years because some computer said so. This is probably the most desperate Marvel have gotten when it comes to fanservice. Jen name drops the X-Men so fans will be happy that Wolverine is showing up. Hulk reveals he has the lead actor from Shrek: The Musical as a son so fans will be happy that they're making Planet Hulk after the fact. At least Roseanne will be happy her finale is no longer the worst.

The character in the show is extremely charming. You just dont like it
@@garenthal9638 You have that backwards.

How I would have fixed She-Hulk:
7. Don't. Let. She-Hulk. Twerk.
You also forgot not let her be a obnoxious, smart-ass, condescending, narcissistic, alcoholic feminazi.
Or as part of Haveing her accepting it
Have her work with banner to merge her hulk together
giving banner a reason to be in the show and a setup for a mentor style connection with him
Also, maybe have some actually funny jokes. And not shit on men every 20 seconds. And stop pretending that Jen is anywhere near as strong as Banner. And show her original backstory where she is recused.
I will rewrite this list
How to make she hulk better
1. Delete it
Can we add like her struggling to use an control her powers make her relatable more rage shit do a time skip or a montages. That's why I liked moon knight he struggled over time but slowly got better
Deadpool had a million jokes and fourth wall breaks in it, and STILL had serious moments where the comedy was turned down
Because Deadpool is an actual good movie with actual good casting, directing, script, etc. Plus, was made by Fox. Not Marvel, which is why it's better.
And what's worse is, Deadpool had a smaller budget than all of She Hulk, was made by FOX, and is a less popular, newer character than She Hulk is.
"Jokes"
Because deadpool is an actually good movie
And still felt as shitty as most of the MCU nonsense these days.
It was just a nerdy compliment from a somewhat socially awkward dude -
a response from Natasha’s sarcastic “you must be twins”
I don’t like she hulk, not trying to defend the show, but calling a woman a “specimen” on your first date is a creepy red flag in itself.

But that didn't happen, even when the final episode had the perfect chance to do that, after Jen's violent reaction when Todd revealed all those videos.
i honestly believed the ending of the last before 8th episode would be a start of some sort of redemption arc

Welcome to near every TV show in the modern day..
@@oeny6040 I think you could show character development while breaking the fourth wall. I dare say it would make it easier, as the character has a chance to actively voice the change they've undergone, and show recognition of their past.
@@NicolasKiroy that's just monologuing no need to break the fourth wall to achieve it.
Edit: now that I think about it I would like to see monologuing while breaking the fourth wall, it's as if the character is directly talking to the viewers.
@@oeny6040 That's literally what I was talking about. As a tool, using the wall break to have a heart to heart with the audience, a moment of reflection, etc. You can achieve that with a monologue, but monologues are cheesy the majority of the time they're used. Same could be said for the fourth wall break, but some do it better than others.

@Alteori
That's almost literally what Jessica Gao did; someone who has serious issues and baggage, who decided to literally waste millions of dollars of her employer's money to "troll the audience," in one big giant therapy coping session for herself and all her equally misandrist writers (as well as literally having a giant therapy session for herself and writers in the actual show.) And Marvel Studios, since they let them do it, deserved to lose all that money. But the character of She Hulk didn't deserve to be destroyed like this, and the audience didn't deserve this level of hate, either.
It's actually poetic, because like most feminists, they unintentionally ended up hating women and female characters almost as much as intentionally hating men and male characters. Anyone who could write a female character this badly has to hate women.
@@TheMovieCynic Have you done that video??? If so, haven’t seen and would enjoy watching. She-Hulk cannot be put on screen ever again. It simply doesn’t fit. It’s beyond a joke to see She-Hulk and Kamala as part of main Avengers team in Kang Dynasty. Pure cringe.

Yes I hated that comment - setting the metoo movement back? WTF?? That sounded really sexist to me and made me cringe so hard ...
Abuse victims are abuse victims. It was a major win for anyone suffering from domestic violence and men need vindication as much as women. WTAF Movie Cynic?
OH! and so sorry that happened to you! Dx
actually during custody, 94% of times when men filed for custody over their children they got it. The court doesn't favour women in custody its just that men don't file for custody in the first place because they don't wanna take care of their own children. Quite a big misconception
@@RED-my9hl got a source for that stat?
And I would die the most painful death imaginable a million times over if it meant protecting my daughter, so don't even try to tell me "men don't want anything to do with their children, they are all pigs" because I am my own man undefined by anyone or anything else but the love for my daughter!

Yeah as a woman never heard a man refer to a woman as “it”

The writers literally self inserted themselves into the show, and not the several times they gave themselves cameos like at the awards show.
The MoCritical madness was a real time glimpse into the factual reality of gaslighting.
His initial criticism was exclusively for the twitter crap Velmuh was typing. Yet, the instant gut reaction from who I would assume is his audience is to assume he means Velma's intense new tan. They have been conditioned to assume the worst intentions of every interaction. It sucked watching him flounder trying to to figure out if they were simply fckn with him or doing the sjw fingerwag.
Well yeah, because if you charitably interpret someone you disagree with, you might have to actually consider they might have a valid criticism!
If I can’t handwave away all my perceived opponents.. what’s the point, man?
The best part is when he said he is convinced that they are actually racists and it’s true, they think about race far more than the people they call racists
I hate people. I used to like people.
I’ll never get sick of people crapping on she hulk
And I’ll never get sick of dunking on it
2023: She-Hulk is The Worst Show Ever Made.
2024: THe Acolyte: "Hold my Green Milk".
I am consistently appalled at the kind of dialogue that comes out of shows like this. "I love harassing women at the work place" is fucking legendary lmao. I guarantee that's never come out of a person's mouth genuinely. I'm sure it's crossed a person's mind. But literally declaring it to a room of nothing but women? Seriously? Lmao
that was a shapeshifter who wanted to mess with anything and everything so it makes sense she would say that lol
I heard a guy say once, “we were just talking about women, and how we don’t respect them and only have sex with them.” But he was shitfaced and he said it super awkward, like you could tell he didn’t know why he was saying it. This was at a college party about ten years ago. Anyway that’s all I got.
It reminds me of old people trying to write teenaged characters. It’s just so out of touch and literally no teenager actually talks like that lol
Ironic that She-Hulk is one of the most beloved superheroines in Marvel comics, but the show made her one of the most hated.
No it didn’t, at least for me. Just like Teen Titans Go didn’t make me hate the Teen Titans
By that I mean, it made me appreciate the previous, better-written incarnations
Because some comic characters simply don’t translate to big screen.
@@jayw3512 except that this was a tv show
@@Animestar21 Any screen.
Well, if it worked for Deadpool, there was no reason She-Hulk couldn't work
The problem was the people making it
"Just try and remember whose show this actually is."
Strange; I've been trying to forget this show existed at all!
I really hate the fourth wall breaking stuff. Deadpool being shoved down our throats in the mid 2010s ruined it for everyone else
Mr immortal jumping out the window is the only time I laughed
And I completely understood his motivation, unlike any other character in the show.
"Get me tf out of here"
The reaction was so genuine lmao
😂😂😂😂
I LOVED that movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once". And i enjoyed how they reversed traditional gender roles with her husband and didn't do it in such a ham fisted way.. to the point that I bet most of you didn't even notice they did it. 90s Star Trek (TNG & DS9) also did it very well.
The fact that the short clip from the office almost brought me to tears proves that Hollywood is creatively bankrupt.
I love how the most rewatch part is when hulk was on screen 😂
Wow…that 4th wall break was awful! It looked so jarring!
As I was typing it, you said it…I’m posting it anyway 😂
This show feels like it was a writing-by-committee fanfic, but the committee was Twitter.
Don't bring up The Office lol, that's unfair on so many levels lol
not the quick cut to brokeback mountain when talking about comradery basically HAHAH
I'm not a homosexual person but I still find it kinda insulting that the show represents almost every gay character as the same? Like, it's like they turned the term homosexual into a personality (which is literally just being feminine and shit) rather than what it is, a sexuality
And that's not even a problem in just this show, it's literally a problem in everything
Yeh, that was my issue when I saw the designer dude... fkin insulting. I may bottom with my man, but I dont walk around with my hand up, talking like a walking stereotype and dangling my hips. This show managed to denigrate everyone.
@@AnonningAnon yeah, I'm surprised people aren't talking more about this, it seems to be a trope now which, well, it's pretty insulting, considering that this is not how gay people act (I know that there are a few that do but to assume that it's every single one is ridiculous)
The Token Gay Character is becoming another box to check with each series. Another aspect that makes these properties so regressive.
I couldn't watch more than episode 1. I then immediately canceled Dis+. I was fed up with all the man-hate by Disney. I like both of my fathers, they are dear to me. This endless anti father crap needs to end bad. Those writers need therapy. Also ty for watching it all and reviewing it. I know the struggle was real and it was appreciated.
I made through 3 episodes and I’ve never seen worse TV. Ever. She-Hulk belongs in comics only. She does look like Gumby. She looks stupid.
Yea I got rid of Dinsey plus after 2021 when every single show was just a woke agenda with terrible writing/plot. Only way change will come is to stop giving them money.
I had to pause multiple times while watching it and shouted "Shut the fuck up!" more than thrice. I didn't even watch the last 2 episodes because I was so upset with this show. And my dumbass genuinely thought that Captain Holdo (purple woman from Star Wars Episode 8) was the worst chaacter in fiction. Oh how wrong I was
“Trying to appease those peoples who don’t even watch it” pretty much sums it all up.
Yeah my wife said the same about the show. We kept our kids away from it.
She Hulk and this show is a bad role model for girls. All men are not like this. It's all about hating men.
And they changed She Hulk origin too. She was dying and Bruce gave her his blood.
fr its disgusting to try to get girls to start fearing or hating all men. like what???? u rlly cant be happy in life if u hate half the population
They changed it cause this show is only about empowering women so they will never show a woman needing help from a man cause they're better than everyone all of a sudden
the good ol'time, when we lived in a world without "the acolyte"
Sometime Its like jessica gao is putting in the serie everything that she wanted to happen to her like everyone telling she is amazing and every men around her is just a bad person. It can happen a lot when you write a story and then you realize you just made a character based on yourself
I have a sneaking suspicion that the writers were extremely insulated females who never actually experienced these various stylizations of men. Merely, they were romanticizing being a victim because that’s what they heard it’s like when men actually show interest because these women have never actually had a man interested in them to begin with, sad.
Obviously
I’ll get on board with that
I watched the head writer of this movie interview and I HATE her already😂
Daaaamn.
DAMN! you just dropped a nuclear BOMB on the writer LMAO
when i was like 7 i wrote a comic where the characters from a star trek show (i forget which one but me and my dad watched it all the time) were all furbies and i recently found the notebook i drew it in. my NINE YEAR OLD FURBY TREK COMIC made me laugh more than she hulk. i also loved the part about social commentary not being a bad thing altogether and i really appreciate you including your girlfriend’s opinion, i think those were great points
You earned a subscriber immediately just for dropping the Tourette’s Guy in the first few minutes.
Don't make my mistakes. I'm in therapy for a fucking reason.
Yet Shrek: The Musical isn't actually good either.
