I find it kind of stupid and funny that shops would refuse Transformers for lack of gimmicks. They're Transformers. They're robots that transform into vehicles/animals/other. *_Their existence is a gimmick._*
The more I think about designers the more I agree with you. Archer era was really fun, all those chunky toys with fun gimmicks and new interpretations of known characters, Warden is G1 till you vomit and now Mark is back at doing crazy picks for waves. New Bludgeon, more comic characters, UT and TFA updates.
So, I get this reommended a year late. A shame, because I believe you and I are both in this camp together, which happens to be a very very small one. I LOVE this guy's colorscheme most of all. He just POPS! The red and especially the blue, against that stark white, yes please, I'll take 2 lol. Then the silver they use is a great break up on break down. Yup, I know. I was a bit disappointed with the alt mode, but got over it pretty quickly. He, imo, is the best looking one, if you can get passed the inaccurate alt mode, and take him for his own merits. He's good. I feel its the color that makes him.
WOOOOOO, finally the video got released, thank you for finally giving poor ol Breakdown the review & justice he needed. I remember first seeing the Jalpa in Rocky IV in school and thought it was the coolest car I’ve ever seen (I still think it is), I felt that the article that said the Jalpa being a failure is false since it’s a lot more beloved in the super car enthusiasts world. And as a diehard Stunticons / Menasor fan, I felt that a Jalpa is actually fitting for Breakdown. And you are absolutely right, the toy itself is pretty fun. He’s literally my second favorite legacy stunticon figure besides Dead End. Great video as always man!
From what you described, this Breakdown would be a kind of army-builder. It's a car that transforms into a robot. If it didn't have Breakdown's name, face, or even combine with Menasor, with some recolors it could be a pretty good vehicon or Auto trooper template. At least that's my thought.
Pretty much my view on this one. The alt-mode isn't a deal breaker and it's an okay retool. I will say that they reissue with "toy colors" is miles better and with the base white color being the same between both releases, it does mean I can keep the first release chest and head and use the new roof with the white side window bars and the new wheel wells. I'm going to TRY to see if I can keep the original bonnet with the center located decepticon symbol but use the new wheel well pieces. It LOOKS like the red trapezoid is the same shade of red and in the exact same spot so they might line up well enough. The few vehicle mode changes really do help though.

I didn't appreciate Breakdown at first because it was Wild Rider but white however now he is in my top favourite transformers of the year so far along with Tarn, Hot Shot and Crashbar
Walmart literally refuses to stock anything past legacy wave 2 and more expensive than a voyager but it has no problem with earthspark and rotb mainline
And those weird half-n-half plushies of Optimus, Megs, and Bee that seem to be shelfwarming so hard one could cook eggs on them. I’ve only seen a few crumbs of Velocitron Wave 2 and only Metalhawk from Legacy Evolution. Oh yeah, also they have an overstock on BB Arcee, there’s like five pegs of just that one character at one Wally I know.
For me, it's ROTB, Earthspark, those half-and-half plushes, Voyager Armada Starscream, and Voyager Inferno. The only things new there was a Studio Series Airazor, Leader Blitzwing and Leader Armada Megatron. Walmart needs to fix their shit.
Leading up to finally getting him and Dead End thru Buyee (more for the latter's sake), I slowly found myself liking the car a bit more. Never cared for the cream white color, and I came to realize that I like the car in this color more than Wildrider, and I generally like black/dark gray and red than I do white+blue. Had a bit of a QC issue where there wasn't enough clearance for the windshield to completely fold into the back, but, literally RIGHT BEFORE writing this, I took a file and carefully sanded the clearances, and now he's a-ok! I...kind of like modifying and fixing my figures, or crafting stuff for them, it turns out. Wish my Motormaster was as easily fixed, though. Fixing that notorious hinge crack is scary.
20:08 I leave the backpack mistransformed for Wildrider, but open and splayed for Breakdown. In bot and limb mode. Helps make them look that much more different from each other.

I have seen a total of 3 legacy evolution figures on shelves. I have only seen restocks of legacy wave 1. I don’t know what’s going on, because it was fine up until Christmas than boom. Nothing. Also I’m supremely glad no version of breakdown is using that cream colour because it looks literally rancid
I sold off my Breakdown as well as Dragstrip for the following reasons: - I can't find Wildrider, Dead End, or Motormaster literally anywhere so I've just given up on trying to get all 5 - The G2 and G1 Toy versions are on the horizon and are gonna be easier to track down - Just decided to offload some figures, including them
You're right in that altmode accuracy seems to be taken for granted now and Breakdown gets a lot of undeserved flak for it. In my opinion, Dead End is far more deserving of ire than him (just still waiting to get my hands on a Wildrider... Thank you for mentioning poor distribution, up until this month it was exactly as bad as Earthrise in my area.) I have similar feelings for figures like Skullgrin and Needlenose, though I expected to dislike both before I received them. Congrats on 10K subs, it's well deserved!
You were a lot more forgiving to Breakdown than I was in my own review! I gave him an average score, because both he, and Wildrider, seemed like average figures. There was nothing really bad about them, but nothing really GOOD either. They were just... made. Made to fill in the gaps on the backs of Menasor's legs. I concur with your hope that someone will make a kit which will allow for a functional way to reverse the legs, so the car bits are in front.....

Corporate said no. Breakdown is considered "done". They tried with the box set. Corporate said "new head, take it or leave it". They consider the mould finished.

When I got Wild Rider, I noticed some oddities on his vehicle mode, that made sense, when I compared Breakdown to the Lamborghini molds. They did work some more Lamborgini-esk details into the mold, that get washed out in their base colors, unless you're looking for them. The most noticible is the front end. It simultaneously does & does not taper. It's not supposed to on Wild Rider (the stripe goes along that portion, all the way to the front), but is close enough, when comparing Breakdown to Clampdown. It's weird, but an interesting set of compromises. Understanding some of the corpo politics, noticing they worked in what they could, & how the whole team comes together, I'm fine with all my Stunticons (minus a paint blemish on one of Motormaster's toe windows & Breakdown's spoiler not splitting - seriously, they couldn't fit a fraction of a millimeter gap in the mold there & pay the extra few cents to have someone handle 2 parts at once?). And I don't fan out the "cape". Looks better (& is more accurate, at least to the toy) as solid hood kibble. I manage to transform it, on both, without fanning it out & recombining. Can be a bit fiddly, though, since there's not much clearance. I also attach the excess trailer bit to Menasor, as wings. Nice way to store it on him. Too bad it doesn't incorporate. I initially thought Motormaster's trailer was too short, but the black on the front just makes it seem shorter. I thought the same of Earthrise Optimus's trailer, but looked up trailer length regulations, back in the 80's, & Optimus's is in perfect proportion. So, the stubby trailers are probably actually how they're supposed to be, rather than how they were depicted.
So I ended up getting Breakdown before Wild Rider, because at around the time of his release, I decided to get the Stunticons. I thought that Wild Rider had the same weapon storage, lol
Completing Menasor was a hassle . Motormaster dragstrip and dead end I got from poland . Wildrider came from japan and I bought a breakdown from china. That was a lot of time to look for all of them.

Even with the weird deco choices of the toy style variant being carried over to the g2 version, i still think that the latter is a huge step up from both the former and the OG

0:55 SS-90 is such a good figure. My first non-86, non-BB Studio Series figure since Lockdown and it’s arguably the best version of AOE Galvatron we could ever get. Now if only we could get the rest of the AOE cast (Drift, Hound, High Octane Bee, Evasion Prime, the Junkheap trio) and some redos of Lockdown and Stinger…
My honest opinion of Breakdown is ... I find him the most fun to fiddle and play with. There is something about his problems and issues that actually makes him sometimes my fave of the team, then other days it's my actual favourite - Dragstrip. Would have I appreciated a proper version? YES and I'm angry at Hasbro for doing what they did but I find myself really enjoying what we got. It's really odd, he just has this "thing" that make me like him.
“Distribution is getting better” Tell that to the US East Coast. At least online retailers are better at this… As for this figure, he’s just… alright to me. Sharing a mold with another figure I just also found alright didn’t really help matters. Also, yeah, I find the backpack annoying. I understand about compromises, but when it’s this noticeable, I just personally find it distracting.
Great review as always man. Keep up the amazing work. While the legacy menasor is not for me since I am shifting my collection to mostly legends this does look good. I am how ever getting excited for the rising force menasor since i just saw a picture of motomaster and the combiner feet and chest piece turn into a car and combine to make another robot. But you always do an amazing job in your videos so thanks for another great one looking forward to your next legends review.
Huh, I can't believe this video is what informed me of toy-accurate versions supposedly coming out. I'm definitely going to get my hands on those, I always preferred that look over toon-accuracy. ...though I think it's probably due to Warden's attempts making me dislike toon-accuracy now that this video highlights it...

For me, Dead End was the standout of this set. I did like Breakdown over Wild Rider, but he didn't hit a chord with me. But when I got Dead End, he was that simple, straightforward figure that excelled in being just that. He's by far my favorite Stunticon to pop off Menasor and mess with. On another note, have you had a chance to play XBC3 Future Redeemed yet? I just started Chapter 4 at the time of writing this. While I was already enthralled with the gameplay changes, this new chapter now makes it seem like this will be the perfect end to the Klaus Saga. Hope it nails that landing, and that you enjoy the DLC just as much as I have so far.
Pretty much the only reason I skipped Breakdown (and the rest of the Stunticons) is because I only just finished collecting the Combiner Wars Stunticons (minus Break-neck)... That and Motormaster wearing the Stunticons bugs the crap outta me
A "TRUE FAN!" should love every toy on its own merits, or hate it for it's flaws, or possibly vice versa, but not hate new toys for not being the same as old toys. If they were, what reason would the "TRUE FAN!" (who certainly has a complete collection of every character ever, first release, Mint In Mint Unopened Box, RIGHT!? OR YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN!!! 😉) possibly have to keep buying new toys unless they're all-new OCs.

I actually like the Wildrider/ Breakdown mold. Yeah, the backpack is atrocious, but remove that, and the silhouette is there. I also understand why fans were upset about Breakdown's Alt-Mode not being accurate, but personally, I stand robot accuracy over vehicle accuracy. I definitely agree that Breakdown gets way too much hate for no reason. In my opinion, Dead End is my least favorite. The alt-mode is fantastic, the transformation is pretty fun, and the top half of the robot is great; but then the bottom half is basically an untransformed car. Thankfully, he sits in combine mode on my shelf and Legacy Menasor looks fantastic!
It bothers me that this is the only one of the four limbs to not get dual hand guns. Dragstrip, Deadend, and Wildrider all look so sick with their two guns so it’s disappointing that Breakdown is stuck with just the one so he looks out of place.
@@DrLockdown for Motormaster it doesn’t bother me too much because he got a sword and gun, same weapons he’s always come with. But Breakdown got a gun and a partsforming piece instead of an actual weapon, so he stands out compared to the other four deluxes who all went from one gun to two

First review since I subbed let's go! 4:27 mmh mmh mmh dat Legacy Scourge. Currently one of my favorite figures. He's all around great aside from me feeling I was gonna break him when I first transformed him. Also his light piping is actually good?! 6:02 that Megatron though. I would've loved if that was the form we got in Legacy. Nothing against dragon Megatron I would like to get that too but Transmetal 1 Megatron is straight up my favorite Megatron in the entire franchise. 180 bucks for Armada Optimus?! Good lord. Welp might not be able to get that now. That'll be well over 200 in canadian dollars. I think I feel the same about Dragstrip as you do about Breakdown. I saw Lazy Eyebrow's review of him and thought, "Yep. That's what gets me back into collecting Transformers." But looking at the other Stunticons I didn't feel the same enthusiasm, so I didn't get them. I wouldn't have been able to get them anyway as Walmart is like, "No. Only Dragstrip. None of the others."

Honestly I skipped the stunticons (except dragstrip), they dont really are what I expected after wave 1 and I just hate how breakdown is just a retool, lol. Also I was more so focusing that money on either the Armada characters, the figures I just randomly find (like minerva on my schooltrip to Scotland lol) and some of the money also goes to paying for my gym, so yeah, the stunticons really flew by and I didn't care
Putting aside the car accuracy issue, I really prefer Breakdown over Wildrider as he doesn't feel as boring compared to Wildrider in terms of how the vehicle and robot mode looks even though they're both okay figures
Just want to share my thoughts on this figure because I definitely disagree with your views on the figure. It is all subjective ofc but I might as well share myt thoughts and give you some engagement. Looking at the vehicle mode, it just looks so boring. I didn't realize how they retooled the back of the car but it makes me appreciate the figure more. The spoiler is really strange because it's such a small change to make it not partsform. You shouldn't have to buy an upgrade kit or ruin the look of the vehicle mode because hasbro didn't make such a simple fix. The robot mode is fine but nothing special. I think it's pretty boring and the shins are way too big. I know these seem like nitpicks and some leeway should be granted but I'm just laying everything out on the table and it doesn't help that these are also issues with wildrider that I don't really think where improved. One thing I like is that leaked new repaint. I think the vehicle mode details and window paint really helps distinguish the vehicle mode from wildrider and as a countach. Basically my thoughts are that it's a very underwhelming release that doesn't really do anything right and should've been better. I'm not blaming its mediocrity on the designers or anything but that's just how I feel. Those are my opinions but I'm glad that you like the figure. Also you're almost at 10k subs, nice job.
Unlike cosmos I never seen a tarn in person at any shop. I personally glad light piping isn't there since it rarely work and you have to shine a light through its head to get it to work. Just paint the eyes
I'm might be wrong but I think the struts that splay out the backpack are to prevent breakage when transforming the hood into combined mode they come apart and go back together as if they have to do that to transform
First, when they showed off Wild Rider, they specifically stated it was an aesthetic choice. Second, I transform both, fine, without unfolding & recombining that bit. There's just barely enough clearance, so it can be a bit fiddly, at times.
It seems to work better on Wild Rider than Breakdown, but it's possible with both. I'm always extra careful with clear plastic, so don't start applying too much pressure, until I feel the struts slip into the grooves in the windshield. The hood needs to be properly connected, or things don't line up.
When it comes to me, at the time that I'm writing this comment, I'm still waiting for Legacy Breakdown and I feel like this is going to be a figure that I'll like but not as much as Wildrider. This would be because I love the charcoal and dark red colouration that Wildrider has, which is quite surprising to me as Wildrider has the least interesting colour scheme to me out of all the Stunticons. Another reason for that would be because Breakdown has the weakest accessories out of all the Stunticons. Also I'm aware that this is a nitpick but, Breakdown's head is on a mushroom peg not a ball joint.

This figure encapsulates everything I feel is wrong with the brand right now: we have fantastic designers who CLEARLY are passionate about the franchise who keep getting shot in the feet by the executives who keep cutting the budget, yet keep rising the prices and making them take baffling decisions, like, who thought the "wings" on this looked good or were necessary? Keeping the hood a single piece would've freed enough parts count to have the spoiler work properly as 2 pieces that wouldn't need to be partsformed at all. And yeah, I skipped the Stuticons in protest, I hate the "everything must be super cartoon accurate even if it means we make a Combiner that is just a big bot with cars strapped on to its limbs, specially when the leg bots aren't even visible" design philosophy. Say what you will about CW Menasor, at least it was actually made from the limb bots and Motormaster, and the individual robot modes were much more interesting visually with their updated style, sprecially Dragstrip who had actual colors instead of just being yellow entirely aside from the head.
I always thought Evo-Fusion as a gimmick was made up just to shut up the Hasbro executives who always push for gimmicks to sell toys. Never thought that it was actually to for the stores they ship the product to.
I’m so awfully conflicted about this figure. I already wasn’t a fan of Wildrider, and this is just that figure except the alt mode is less accurate now and he doesn’t have two guns like the rest of the deluxe stunticons. The alt mode not matching very much with ER Sunstreaker and KD Sideswipe is disappointing. But I still really like the look of the figure and even if we assume that a Breakdown head was pretooled on Wildrider, I’d take the new gun and chest over the front of the car any day.

I have seen a total of 3 legacy evolution figures on shelves. I have only seen restocks of legacy wave 1. I don’t know what’s going on, because it was fine up until Christmas than boom. Nothing.

I sold off my Breakdown as well as Dragstrip for the following reasons:
- I can't find Wildrider, Dead End, or Motormaster literally anywhere so I've just given up on trying to get all 5
- The G2 and G1 Toy versions are on the horizon and are gonna be easier to track down
- Just decided to offload some figures, including them
You're right in that altmode accuracy seems to be taken for granted now and Breakdown gets a lot of undeserved flak for it. In my opinion, Dead End is far more deserving of ire than him (just still waiting to get my hands on a Wildrider... Thank you for mentioning poor distribution, up until this month it was exactly as bad as Earthrise in my area.) I have similar feelings for figures like Skullgrin and Needlenose, though I expected to dislike both before I received them. Congrats on 10K subs, it's well deserved!

You were a lot more forgiving to Breakdown than I was in my own review! I gave him an average score, because both he, and Wildrider, seemed like average figures. There was nothing really bad about them, but nothing really GOOD either. They were just... made. Made to fill in the gaps on the backs of Menasor's legs.
I concur with your hope that someone will make a kit which will allow for a functional way to reverse the legs, so the car bits are in front.....
I always preferred that look, but given the obsession with accuracy these days, I see why the did it this way.

When I got Wild Rider, I noticed some oddities on his vehicle mode, that made sense, when I compared Breakdown to the Lamborghini molds. They did work some more Lamborgini-esk details into the mold, that get washed out in their base colors, unless you're looking for them. The most noticible is the front end. It simultaneously does & does not taper. It's not supposed to on Wild Rider (the stripe goes along that portion, all the way to the front), but is close enough, when comparing Breakdown to Clampdown. It's weird, but an interesting set of compromises.
Understanding some of the corpo politics, noticing they worked in what they could, & how the whole team comes together, I'm fine with all my Stunticons (minus a paint blemish on one of Motormaster's toe windows & Breakdown's spoiler not splitting - seriously, they couldn't fit a fraction of a millimeter gap in the mold there & pay the extra few cents to have someone handle 2 parts at once?).
And I don't fan out the "cape". Looks better (& is more accurate, at least to the toy) as solid hood kibble. I manage to transform it, on both, without fanning it out & recombining. Can be a bit fiddly, though, since there's not much clearance.
I also attach the excess trailer bit to Menasor, as wings. Nice way to store it on him. Too bad it doesn't incorporate. I initially thought Motormaster's trailer was too short, but the black on the front just makes it seem shorter. I thought the same of Earthrise Optimus's trailer, but looked up trailer length regulations, back in the 80's, & Optimus's is in perfect proportion. So, the stubby trailers are probably actually how they're supposed to be, rather than how they were depicted.

So I ended up getting Breakdown before Wild Rider, because at around the time of his release, I decided to get the Stunticons. I thought that Wild Rider had the same weapon storage, lol
Completing Menasor was a hassle . Motormaster dragstrip and dead end I got from poland . Wildrider came from japan and I bought a breakdown from china. That was a lot of time to look for all of them.

0:55 SS-90 is such a good figure. My first non-86, non-BB Studio Series figure since Lockdown and it’s arguably the best version of AOE Galvatron we could ever get. Now if only we could get the rest of the AOE cast (Drift, Hound, High Octane Bee, Evasion Prime, the Junkheap trio) and some redos of Lockdown and Stinger…

There is something about his problems and issues that actually makes him sometimes my fave of the team, then other days it's my actual favourite - Dragstrip.
Would have I appreciated a proper version? YES and I'm angry at Hasbro for doing what they did but I find myself really enjoying what we got.

As for this figure, he’s just… alright to me. Sharing a mold with another figure I just also found alright didn’t really help matters. Also, yeah, I find the backpack annoying. I understand about compromises, but when it’s this noticeable, I just personally find it distracting.
In Australia it's the opposite. I couldn't get anything here for the six years. Now, all but one of my mainline figures have been bought locally

I am how ever getting excited for the rising force menasor since i just saw a picture of motomaster and the combiner feet and chest piece turn into a car and combine to make another robot.

Huh, I can't believe this video is what informed me of toy-accurate versions supposedly coming out. I'm definitely going to get my hands on those, I always preferred that look over toon-accuracy.

For me, Dead End was the standout of this set. I did like Breakdown over Wild Rider, but he didn't hit a chord with me. But when I got Dead End, he was that simple, straightforward figure that excelled in being just that. He's by far my favorite Stunticon to pop off Menasor and mess with.
On another note, have you had a chance to play XBC3 Future Redeemed yet? I just started Chapter 4 at the time of writing this. While I was already enthralled with the gameplay changes, this new chapter now makes it seem like this will be the perfect end to the Klaus Saga. Hope it nails that landing, and that you enjoy the DLC just as much as I have so far.

Pretty much the only reason I skipped Breakdown (and the rest of the Stunticons) is because I only just finished collecting the Combiner Wars Stunticons (minus Break-neck)... That and Motormaster wearing the Stunticons bugs the crap outta me
A "TRUE FAN!" should love every toy on its own merits, or hate it for it's flaws, or possibly vice versa, but not hate new toys for not being the same as old toys. If they were, what reason would the "TRUE FAN!" (who certainly has a complete collection of every character ever, first release, Mint In Mint Unopened Box, RIGHT!? OR YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN!!! 😉) possibly have to keep buying new toys unless they're all-new OCs.

I actually like the Wildrider/ Breakdown mold. Yeah, the backpack is atrocious, but remove that, and the silhouette is there. I also understand why fans were upset about Breakdown's Alt-Mode not being accurate, but personally, I stand robot accuracy over vehicle accuracy. I definitely agree that Breakdown gets way too much hate for no reason.
In my opinion, Dead End is my least favorite. The alt-mode is fantastic, the transformation is pretty fun, and the top half of the robot is great; but then the bottom half is basically an untransformed car. Thankfully, he sits in combine mode on my shelf and Legacy Menasor looks fantastic!

It bothers me that this is the only one of the four limbs to not get dual hand guns. Dragstrip, Deadend, and Wildrider all look so sick with their two guns so it’s disappointing that Breakdown is stuck with just the one so he looks out of place.
I mean, motormaster didn't get them either.
@@DrLockdown for Motormaster it doesn’t bother me too much because he got a sword and gun, same weapons he’s always come with. But Breakdown got a gun and a partsforming piece instead of an actual weapon, so he stands out compared to the other four deluxes who all went from one gun to two

I think I feel the same about Dragstrip as you do about Breakdown. I saw Lazy Eyebrow's review of him and thought,
"Yep. That's what gets me back into collecting Transformers." But looking at the other Stunticons I didn't feel the same enthusiasm, so I didn't get them. I wouldn't have been able to get them anyway as Walmart is like,
"No. Only Dragstrip. None of the others."
Funny thing: my scourge actually did break out of the box. The smoke stack snapped. Damn clear plastic.

Honestly I skipped the stunticons (except dragstrip), they dont really are what I expected after wave 1 and I just hate how breakdown is just a retool, lol. Also I was more so focusing that money on either the Armada characters, the figures I just randomly find (like minerva on my schooltrip to Scotland lol) and some of the money also goes to paying for my gym, so yeah, the stunticons really flew by and I didn't care

Putting aside the car accuracy issue, I really prefer Breakdown over Wildrider as he doesn't feel as boring compared to Wildrider in terms of how the vehicle and robot mode looks even though they're both okay figures

Just want to share my thoughts on this figure because I definitely disagree with your views on the figure. It is all subjective ofc but I might as well share myt thoughts and give you some engagement. Looking at the vehicle mode, it just looks so boring. I didn't realize how they retooled the back of the car but it makes me appreciate the figure more. The spoiler is really strange because it's such a small change to make it not partsform. You shouldn't have to buy an upgrade kit or ruin the look of the vehicle mode because hasbro didn't make such a simple fix. The robot mode is fine but nothing special. I think it's pretty boring and the shins are way too big. I know these seem like nitpicks and some leeway should be granted but I'm just laying everything out on the table and it doesn't help that these are also issues with wildrider that I don't really think where improved. One thing I like is that leaked new repaint. I think the vehicle mode details and window paint really helps distinguish the vehicle mode from wildrider and as a countach. Basically my thoughts are that it's a very underwhelming release that doesn't really do anything right and should've been better. I'm not blaming its mediocrity on the designers or anything but that's just how I feel. Those are my opinions but I'm glad that you like the figure. Also you're almost at 10k subs, nice job.
Unlike cosmos I never seen a tarn in person at any shop. I personally glad light piping isn't there since it rarely work and you have to shine a light through its head to get it to work. Just paint the eyes

I'm might be wrong but I think the struts that splay out the backpack are to prevent breakage when transforming the hood into combined mode they come apart and go back together as if they have to do that to transform
Possibly, but they still aren't needed. No other version of this transformation had them
First, when they showed off Wild Rider, they specifically stated it was an aesthetic choice.
Second, I transform both, fine, without unfolding & recombining that bit. There's just barely enough clearance, so it can be a bit fiddly, at times.

It seems to work better on Wild Rider than Breakdown, but it's possible with both. I'm always extra careful with clear plastic, so don't start applying too much pressure, until I feel the struts slip into the grooves in the windshield. The hood needs to be properly connected, or things don't line up.
When it comes to me, at the time that I'm writing this comment, I'm still waiting for Legacy Breakdown and I feel like this is going to be a figure that I'll like but not as much as Wildrider.
This would be because I love the charcoal and dark red colouration that Wildrider has, which is quite surprising to me as Wildrider has the least interesting colour scheme to me out of all the Stunticons.
Another reason for that would be because Breakdown has the weakest accessories out of all the Stunticons. Also I'm aware that this is a nitpick but, Breakdown's head is on a mushroom peg not a ball joint.

This figure encapsulates everything I feel is wrong with the brand right now: we have fantastic designers who CLEARLY are passionate about the franchise who keep getting shot in the feet by the executives who keep cutting the budget, yet keep rising the prices and making them take baffling decisions, like, who thought the "wings" on this looked good or were necessary? Keeping the hood a single piece would've freed enough parts count to have the spoiler work properly as 2 pieces that wouldn't need to be partsformed at all.
And yeah, I skipped the Stuticons in protest, I hate the "everything must be super cartoon accurate even if it means we make a Combiner that is just a big bot with cars strapped on to its limbs, specially when the leg bots aren't even visible" design philosophy. Say what you will about CW Menasor, at least it was actually made from the limb bots and Motormaster, and the individual robot modes were much more interesting visually with their updated style, sprecially Dragstrip who had actual colors instead of just being yellow entirely aside from the head.

I’m so awfully conflicted about this figure. I already wasn’t a fan of Wildrider, and this is just that figure except the alt mode is less accurate now and he doesn’t have two guns like the rest of the deluxe stunticons. The alt mode not matching very much with ER Sunstreaker and KD Sideswipe is disappointing. But I still really like the look of the figure and even if we assume that a Breakdown head was pretooled on Wildrider, I’d take the new gun and chest over the front of the car any day.
