I would add the time when Bumblebee get caught by him and was given no choice but blast his face, give a bit of body horror. But hey, he does look cool.

AFAIK in the movies Optimus and Barricade are the only bots who display their faction logos in vehicle mode: Optimus has a barely noticeable metal emblem at the top of his grill, and Barricade had some hilariously inconspicuous Decepticon decals. Technically Bumblebee does too, but it's on his steering wheel for some ungodly reasons. Even if the other bots had them too, the fact that they're so difficult to notice on-screen is pretty telling of the brand execs' meddlings. SS is just trying to stay consistent to the source material, because the original tie-in toys sure had them.
That Blitzwing continues to impress. He's honestly one of the things to go after once I complete my "main cast" collection. Honestly, the fact that Blitzwing wasn't the exact triple changer never bugged me. I think I and others people would've been less confused, even bahooties, about it if Starscream was revealed first, THEN Blitzwing to establish that they reimagined the latter as a Seeker, but production shenanigans prevented that, I guess. Am I crazy for thinking that not only should Blitzwing be the one to get more redecos, but his jetformation mechanism should be more incorporated in future Seeker molds regardless of sub-line? Coz that is a NEAT transformation that results in an aesthetically CLEAN bot! Especially dem legs!

At least I'm the Bumblebee movie, you can look at that character and tell it is Starscream. Technically you're wrong, but it's obvious who it's supposed to be. The missiles on Blitzwing are supposed to be gas tanks, but hey, they have a similar shape so it's easy to mistake them so I don't blame on anyone for thinking that. I thought that they were missiles for the longest time too.
bruh both devestator g1 and movie devestator are made for destruction. hell there were clones of the constructicons because each of them can do huge damage to anything in their path

I for one am glad for the Thrust version we are getting, I love the Blitzwing and I wanted the Cybertronian version, but I did not want another ****ing Starscream.
On my point of view, blitzwing would get a 5 out of 5 IF he had an accurate alt-mode. Then he would be perfect(btw, i do own blitzwing, still on the fence for starscream, will prob get the thundercracker repaint of the bbmovie seeker mold)
I agree wholeheartedly with Blitzwing feeling more sleek and refined. Though if I picked him up I don't know if I'd be able to resist giving him a nice black wash. I've never painted or panel lined a Transformer, but not doing something to highlight all that beautiful detail would be absolutely criminal. Dangit now I'm feeling that Transfomers itch again... Great review as always!

The big ones on his mixing drum that made him stood out from the crowd? But again I'm not complaining it's a good figure anyway. But still I would like to see that breaking up the gray and I would take big purple decepticon logos rather than silver gray stripes
Good comparison! Personally I think Starscream is a better figure, I’ve had a lot more fun messing with him and he feels more substantial. My main issue with it is that I wish it just had a better color palette, but I totally understand why someone would like blitzwing more. One thing I noticed that helps blitzwing’s robot mode is that his shoulders are molded at a slight angle, while starscreams are straight on, so it gives a different look. I’m dying to see a skywarp out of Starscream though, and I’m glad that’s the mold they are choosing to do repaints with

For screamer, I don't like how the gun sits on top, so I swivel the hand into the empty space in the arm and plug the cannon there. Its upside down, yes, but it looks like it should be formed into one solid thing. But that's just me.
For the best of both worlds, I guess you could always get the Trumpeter kit and paint it into Starscream's colouration! ...which I am SO tempted to do.
Something that alot of people don't realize about the earthrise mold is that the bottom of the jet is 1 to 1 to how it looks in the cartoon, making the vehicle mode almost 100% accurate to the cartoon as a 3d object.
the Transformers are supposed to be robots in Disguise, so it makes sense for the Autobots at least for their faction symbols to be hidden in alt mode.
I think people complained about that Seeker being Blitzwing is because the new(?) contiuity is taking heavy inspiration for the designs from G1. So now that there's _one_ character that looks nothing like his G1 self, it's gonna raise some eyebrows.
Not gonna lie, I hate blitz’s jet mode. The f-4 is my favorite jet and I really wanted a *GOOD* figure that turned into it, *FIREFLIGHT* but the robot mode is beautiful enough to save the figure
I hope that whenever we get an Earth setting Transformers movie set in the Bumblebee universe we'll get to see some Blitzwing variants. Much better jet robot than Maverick.
I have the recently released Thundercracker version and it’s quickly become my favorite figure in my collection. Honestly interested in the titanium version but I need to stop my impulse purchasing considering how many other seekers I bought this week
Interesting note on Thundercracker. Idk if this was an addition for Thundercracker or thrust as I only have Thundercracker of the three, but they added a tab for the arms in vehicle mode. Oddly enough though the tab on my copy is just missing.
There it another way to attach the null rays for both jet and robot mode there’s a rectangle hole right underneath where the wing tip rotates it’s much more secure then the peg hole and gives them more prominence in jet mode
I was in the process of selling off my studio series blitzwing (financial reasons) along with a bunch of other figures, it never sold, thrn I watched this video and transformed blitzwing (first time doing it aswel) and i fell in love with him again...

One thing that will always bug me about SS Blitzwing is the shots we got vs the figure we got when it comes to painting. On sites like Big Bad Toy Store the pictures they show us show a more properly painted jet mode where the nose and cockpit area is concerned instead of just what looks like they spray painted grey onto it, and the face mask was actually painted to be more movie accurate. I think there were a few more details but I forgot, either way though I just wish they never took shots with better paint only to release what we got. Its still a great figure of course, I just wish we got the colouring that was advertised. Also I don't really like how the cockpit is clear unpainted yellow plastic but then on the top of the chest they painted the fake one, which both figures have, and I wish they either painted the cockpit or, assuming they used that same clear yellow plastic and painted over it for the top of the chest, left that section un-painted.
Something I noticed about the two figures, is that since G1 Blitzwing is a much bulkier character, and G1 Starscream was much thinner, that it would have been more logical to switch the bodies for the characters. Anyway, my two cents.
This is what I've been saying! Everyone keeps saying that Starscream is better! While I agree it is a good figure, it is just not at all as better as Blitzwing. Something about him just always feels, off.
in my opinion i think the studios 86 series are great i just really like g1 and im thinking about collecting all of them i always like the g1 simplistic body models. But theses figures are really great too im getting them too

10:22 Some folks in this community still can’t accept whenever something changes in this franchise, whether it be a reinterpretation of the lore and world, to the names of past characters being slapped onto unrelated characters. I know this sounds gatekeepy, but this is Transformers, so if one can’t accept the change that happens in this franchise, then it may not be for them.
I kind of wish blitzwing had another colour scheme, like I don’t mind him being different than G1 but I can’t help but feel like they threw away a character because they couldn’t use starscream...
I’ll say that some figures Hasbro throws into the mix and slaps on Studio Series to get people to buy it, they probably just put that on because they want to sell some stupid characters that either aren’t seen or didn’t even do anything.
I really do love the look of Blitzwing's robot mode, but man... that jet's just ugly. It's not that it isn't an F-4, it's that the made-up jet looks less like a real fighter and more like an amateurish drawing of a jet than something that would actually be made. Mainline Generations has more convincing jet modes than it, and that makes it really stick out compared to the rest of the Studio line.
I hated the way she looked, and I hate all of the merchandise they've made that looks super accurate. In a twist of fate though, the studio series toy is amazing. Never thought it would happen
I have both and I do like both even though Blitzwings chest doesn’t want to stay pegged in and the arms are a pain to peg into the wings I still like him (and it may or may not be because I found him on my birthday at a Target where he was the last one on the shelf on the same day I got my RID build team still in box.) and the Starscream is alright I mean my copy can’t even have the wing tips hold their position properly so ya and I will die on the hill that Blitzwing should have been and F-4 and no I don’t care about how he wasn’t a triple changer because then I can just rename him Thunderwing mwahahahahaha *cough cough cough* Side note Blitzwing in Bumblebee was like you had edited in was an F-4 Phantom II which was the second iteration of the F-4 mainly because the first model had every type of missile under the sun for it, but no main cannon meaning if the range was to close for the missile the plane couldn’t preform its roll properly and that didn’t help when you were fighting MiG-22’s with both missiles and cannons there was also and I’m going off of memory here the F-2 which was similar to the F-4 however it was a light bomber with no offensive weapons. Also the F-4 was really the first modern fighter jet for the U.S. Air-Force and they thought “cannons won’t be needed when people are going to be firing missiles at each other.” Then the MiG’s with their canons started shooting down their advanced jets with both missiles and canons at it was back to the drawing board. I’m a history buff with a fascination with planes.
Well for me the fact that Blitzwing is not a Triple changer in the BB movie never made me even slightly mad because they know what they are doing and I'm pretty sure Blitzwing will be rebuilt as a Triple changer by Shockwave

I don't know from the bee movie but Blitzwing is not a seeker at least he isn't in g1 he may be a jet but like Astrotrain, springer, sandstorm, doubledealer, etc they were all triple changers. If you want to say all jet transformers are seekers than hypothetically speaking the Arialbots, skyfire/Jetfire, Shatter, Dreadwing (I think), Flywheels, and Powerglide to name a few are seekers to.
Blitzwing is just another seeker in the Travis Knight continuity. Different continuities, different precedents. In the Michael Bay continuity, seekers are old Decepticon explorers that turn into old cars, trucks and planes.

The reversed wings on Blitzwing's shoulders are actually misassembled. If you swap them, the detailing lines up.

The gun can also be tabbed in the bottom of the jet. It slots in to the tab on blitzwing's piston shoulder assembly

Its still a great figure of course, I just wish we got the colouring that was advertised.
Also I don't really like how the cockpit is clear unpainted yellow plastic but then on the top of the chest they painted the fake one, which both figures have, and I wish they either painted the cockpit or, assuming they used that same clear yellow plastic and painted over it for the top of the chest, left that section un-painted.
One tiny step you forgot on Starscream, his uh, crotch plate thing flips up a little. I know, it sounds weird, but that's with it does

And now they're doing Shattered Glass Starscream in the Siege Tetrajet mold, the Tetrajet love has been ABSURD the past year and a bit
But, damn they look good, especially the SG Version looks so gorgeus

Something I noticed about the two figures, is that since G1 Blitzwing is a much bulkier character, and G1 Starscream was much thinner, that it would have been more logical to switch the bodies for the characters. Anyway, my two cents.
I'm only getting blitzing as a earth starscream but the cybertron one looks cool
i own both of these but prefer starscream as he does not have the chest not locking in well issue
I might end up preferring thrust when he comes out. He does look really nice

This is what I've been saying! Everyone keeps saying that Starscream is better! While I agree it is a good figure, it is just not at all as better as Blitzwing. Something about him just always feels, off.
in my opinion i think the studios 86 series are great i just really like g1 and im thinking about collecting all of them i always like the g1 simplistic body models.
But theses figures are really great too im getting them too
I really wanted to love the starscream but it has many things that I don't like while a few things I do. If I want one, I'm gonna need a cyber factory star storm cause god it's good

Depends on your copy, and it doesn't matter. Every surface should be tabbed in on a transformer

Honestly i love starscream it makes me wish i didnt skip out on blitzwing but im still happy cause i found both dino and b-127 at my local target and ngl love them both tho dino could do woth a bit more ankle rocker joints

10:22 Some folks in this community still can’t accept whenever something changes in this franchise, whether it be a reinterpretation of the lore and world, to the names of past characters being slapped onto unrelated characters. I know this sounds gatekeepy, but this is Transformers, so if one can’t accept the change that happens in this franchise, then it may not be for them.
Although I’m not sure where the doctor got the idea that the prequel comic isn’t canon. It’s a prequel comic.

I’ll say that some figures Hasbro throws into the mix and slaps on Studio Series to get people to buy it, they probably just put that on because they want to sell some stupid characters that either aren’t seen or didn’t even do anything.
Honestly if they look cool and are engineered well, I don't see the problem
I really do love the look of Blitzwing's robot mode, but man... that jet's just ugly.
It's not that it isn't an F-4, it's that the made-up jet looks less like a real fighter and more like an amateurish drawing of a jet than something that would actually be made. Mainline Generations has more convincing jet modes than it, and that makes it really stick out compared to the rest of the Studio line.

I have both and I do like both even though Blitzwings chest doesn’t want to stay pegged in and the arms are a pain to peg into the wings I still like him (and it may or may not be because I found him on my birthday at a Target where he was the last one on the shelf on the same day I got my RID build team still in box.) and the Starscream is alright I mean my copy can’t even have the wing tips hold their position properly so ya and I will die on the hill that Blitzwing should have been and F-4 and no I don’t care about how he wasn’t a triple changer because then I can just rename him Thunderwing mwahahahahaha *cough cough cough*
Side note Blitzwing in Bumblebee was like you had edited in was an F-4 Phantom II which was the second iteration of the F-4 mainly because the first model had every type of missile under the sun for it, but no main cannon meaning if the range was to close for the missile the plane couldn’t preform its roll properly and that didn’t help when you were fighting MiG-22’s with both missiles and cannons there was also and I’m going off of memory here the F-2 which was similar to the F-4 however it was a light bomber with no offensive weapons. Also the F-4 was really the first modern fighter jet for the U.S. Air-Force and they thought “cannons won’t be needed when people are going to be firing missiles at each other.” Then the MiG’s with their canons started shooting down their advanced jets with both missiles and canons at it was back to the drawing board.

Well for me the fact that Blitzwing is not a Triple changer in the BB movie never made me even slightly mad because they know what they are doing and I'm pretty sure Blitzwing will be rebuilt as a Triple changer by Shockwave

I don't know from the bee movie but Blitzwing is not a seeker at least he isn't in g1 he may be a jet but like Astrotrain, springer, sandstorm, doubledealer, etc they were all triple changers.
If you want to say all jet transformers are seekers than hypothetically speaking the Arialbots, skyfire/Jetfire, Shatter, Dreadwing (I think), Flywheels, and Powerglide to name a few are seekers to.
Blitzwing is just another seeker in the Travis Knight continuity. Different continuities, different precedents. In the Michael Bay continuity, seekers are old Decepticon explorers that turn into old cars, trucks and planes.

See Blitzwing is my favorite triple changer and I hated the bee movie one because they messed him up he was able to crush and beat most of the autobots and made a throne from their body's yet he was bested by bee, man I hat that the bad guys almost always lose.
