Dude New Subscriber out of Jupiter fl. been having a tough go at sheepshead from the bridges only 2 in the last 2 weeks ,I was just thinking of scouting the docks... Just happened on your channel ,Love the content and the clear underwater footage is awesome ,I'll be panning thru your vids ,Thanks for sharing
Appreciate you man! 🙌🏼 Sheep have been tough all throughout Florida this year. It’s been really strange. 🤨 but yeah man, hit those docks. I’m waiting for the weather to clear up here some to go check some more.
@@LuisAlvarado-yp8kr Awesome man! Thank you!🙌🏼 I want to head down to Naples one day to fish. Ya’ll have peacock bass and some exotic stuff in your water right?
@@hookcraft_fishing its decent, used to e much much better but we are having severe seagrass killoffs. We dont have enough seawater mixing in and too much runoff going into the indian river and mosquito lagoon.
I wish I knew 😅. I’m still learning how myself, but here’s what I learned so far: 1. Be authentic. Let your real reactions and emotions show. It makes you more relatable. 2. Let the fish tell you what the video will be about. Don’t ever force a specific lure, technique, or location if the fish want something entirely different. It’s better to catch them and make a different video than what you planned. 3. Keep intros and narration short. If it doesn’t add value to the story, teaches the viewer something, or offer entertainment, cut it out. 4. Keep videos somewhat short unless it impedes on the story. Don’t make it longer than it really has to. Keep in mind many folks’ attention span these days are really short so longer videos don’t do too well. 5. Use the highest resolution you can on your cameras. Don’t go out and buy fancy gear either but shoot in the best quality you can afford. I started with 1080p. Gotta start somewhere. 🤷🏻♂️ 6. Audio is a bigger factor than you realize when starting out. Amazon has great mics that are cheap. 7. Always show respect towards the fish! If you’re keeping it, put it on ice. If you’re letting it go, get it back in the water ASAP. Keep in mind, this is fishing. Sometimes things happen outside your control. 🤷🏻♂️ 8. Have fun and find your style. What works for others may not work for you, so take advice with a grain of salt. Just keep trying to improve each video that you make and you’ll find a style you enjoy. Hope this helps!
@@hookcraft_fishing I think they’re more commonly called a bottom sweeper jig outside New England/ NY area. . We use them up north for tautog, another toothie fish, w a half a green crab on them usually.
@@richdunn9774 Ohhhh gotcha, yeah I have plenty of bottom sweepers. 😂 great little jigs. They’ll hook some big fish too. We catch bull drums on them all the time.
2:42 that was an insane transition! Nicely done!
Thank you! Trying to get the editing game up. Lol
I love how clear that water was! Insane how many fish were there! I'm glad you caught some!
It’s insane! Definitely coming back here in the spring while the water is this clear and the reds start biting.
Good video man!!! Glad you were able to get on a few!
Appreciate it man! Same here! Lol

Cheers from the Panhandle! 🍻
First time watching you, awesome content? Where are you located?
Thanks man! I appreciate that. I’m located in the Panhandle of Florida near the Pensacola area. 🤙🏼
@@hookcraft_fishing cool , new subscriber from Naples

@@hookcraft_fishing yeah man peacocks, a bunch of cichlids, knife fish, snakeheads lol i cast netted a tilapia out of the Naples bay the other day
where are you located? Ive been catching sheepshead in sikes creek and mosquito lagoon
I’m in the Panhandle region near Destin. Mosquito Lagoon is quite a trip, but I hear that place has good fish!

Going to demo my lynx today!
Awesome! Let me know how you like it!
@@hookcraft_fishing grabbed it yesterday and I love it. Would love to see how you set yours up so I can get some ideas
@@trueyofishing Well this is perfect timing! I’m working on a review video and I go over my set up. 👍🏼 Fair warning, it’s really simple. Lol

@@hookcraft_fishing Thank you so much!
John Skinner was killing them at docks in his last video using crabs and a light tautog jig.
Ooooo, what’s a tautog jig? I’m down to try something new. Lol I’ll have to go check that vid out.

I’m sick of not catching sheepshead!!
I’m tired of them being so picky and skittish. 🤦🏻♂️ I want them to get to the bridges in some numbers where they’re dumb and hungry. Lol
Where do fish ? My waters look like diarrhea and no way you’re going to see what’s down there.
This is in the Destin/ Fort Walton beach area. We just had some storms come through though so our waters aren’t the best right now either. Lol
