- February can be the month that the big ones really start biting! If I’m trying to catch big fish this month I’m not fishing out in deeper water. From my experience I’ve seen that the biggest fish are the first ones to pull up shallow and feed. If you can find some areas where the sun is warming that water a few degrees more than any where else that’s where they’ll be!
Hey ott that was bad ass too see you pull out the buzzbait & catch that 5-12 up dirt shallow ! Man I be thinkin the same thing at any point in time them big girls gonna pull up I live in Alabama the temps are getting right!

I struggled in a kayak tourney this weekend at Santee Cooper. Very muddy water and windy. What would you recommend in these conditions to do better next time?
