It's easy to say that thing has around 400 real units worth of recoil, but visualizing what would happen if you were on the rear wrong end of it (I doubt there's a right end on that beast) could be a fun experiment
If it's on the sled or in some kind of vice, I don't think you'd get the full effect. However, I get the impression that firing it unrestrained would throw that lightweight cannon pretty hard. That was insane! The expansion from that slug hitting those Zombies was a site to behold. Thank you Scott once again for an amazing piece of content. I am honestly not to sure what to shoot with that thing. stack plywood and see how many it would take to stop that slug.
Epic. The point blank zombie removal reminded me of an old “zombie removal” style of strapping a “zombie” to the front of a heavy cannon, and then, well ya know… science happens. Could be an idea? Right on Scott, keep up the good work!😎😄👍🏻
It would be interesting to find out how far the punt gun is lethal with just powder in it because I reckon the blast alone is pretty lethal without any shot or slug in it.
It would still be fairly potent however, with nothing to really compress and provide pressure against the powder, it'd be significantly less reactive. A lot of the powder would be pushed out unburned.
It could be done. I do Civil War artillery reenactments. I've got a replica Mountain Howitzer with a 2.25" bore. I use powdered coffee creamer compressed into a puck sitting on top of 3oz of Goex FFg black powder as my round. I can shoot a 20ft flame out the front and the concussion will set off nearby car alarms.
That torso from Clear Ballistics is pretty stout. That would be good for training against a Scott sized target. If you have Scott himself coming after you I'm pretty sure you're done for unless you happen to have a CIWS. That final shot was incredible. The performance of that Punt Gun is mindblowing in the most literal sense. 💥🤯💀🧠

With 4 million subscribers, plus his sponsors, she's probably pretty happy with the income. $6,000 (for the gel dummies) is a lot to most of us, but Scott is bringing in some serious money with this channel, I think. I'm sure that punt gun isn't cheap either!
He would of had them given to him for mentioning the company in the video.
Scott deserves the success he achieved as well
@@drgruber57 How much do you earn from TH-cam?
@@drgruber57 Another thing is that he’s probably able to write the gel bodies off on his taxes since they’re technically work related
Heart just said like "I'll come back soon"
The slow-mo makes the time delay between the percussion cap going off and the main charge detonating really clear, which is neat.
It's not even December and Scott's already given us the greatest Decemberween gift of the year
Is been the best hallogivingcember ever!
Decemberween? Homestarrunner reference in 2023? Hell yeah.
Still remember when ur gun blew up, good to see you've gotten better❤
That last shot was insane! At that range, it really didn't matter what it was loaded with. Now I wonder what kind of damage a punt gun blank (if they even make those) could do...🤔
Its a muzzle loader
A punt gun blank made me laugh
Imagine just burning 5 pounds of gunpowder without anything in front of it, just for the lolz and science
Bubble wrap! A long roll of bubble wrap with some kind of sabot!
A punt gun blank...

Scott, I absolutely 💯 love your enthusiasm, energy, and genuine passion for what you do !
It's definitely a refreshing change from a lot of channels these days 😊
9:35 the fire reflection from the blast on the dummy and the look of regret for them is amazing 🤣
Thanks Scott! Always informative and of course entertaining!!
10:16 Woah watch what you say Scott
"are we not doing phrasing anymore?"

*Careless Whisper starts playing*
Punt gun: Is designed to shoot a flock of birds out of the sky.
Scott: We have three zombie torsos!
Really a flock a birds. I thought it was built to make rhinos into blood stew
Yes but on the water.... I believe they skipped across the water

0:49 “were gonna have a great day” bro has a cannon💀
The point-blank headshots: It might as well have been a claymore or bomb or something with the way the heads looked in the blast. Also your polaroid moment was marked by seeing a green thick spray launch into the air very fast above the targets. Absolutely nuts. I can't reply to your pinned comment, but I suggest body armor and steel targets next.
Wow I remember asking for this when you asked what you should shoot with the punt gun next, ages ago. Well done Scott & Scott.
Wow the production has come a long way scott, that close up slomo shot of the fuse igniting into the shot just beautiful. I've watched your content for years always great videos.
I think it would be amazing to see some long distance shots with the punt gun would be amazing to see the projectile travel distance and see how far they can travel.
I don't even have interest in guns, not a hunter etc... but I still listen to your channel only because YOU ARE HILARIOUS hahaha. Really love your humour and well... it's always fun to see things getting blowed up !
Man those zombies are pretty scary looking... thanks for handling them for us
Guys you’ve got to give this guy some credit he spend like $6000 on these ballistic zombies
And this was absolutely AWSOME
I think you can buy actual zombies on the black market for less.
@@JWQweqOPDH If you can get your hands on the T-Virus, you can just make your own zombies instead
I thought their price was set at around 500 usd, just found out the ballistic dummy labs ones goes for 3750 usd each, i guess they are only for content creators and absurdly rich people
I'm pretty sure he gets a hefty discount for the free promoting from his videos. But he still pays a lot $3000+
@@Berm_Blaster I'm not sure they would have much of a marketing budget to disperse since this seems like a product people either need or don't buy.
Scott I pretty sure you’re a U.S. Marine at heart. The part where you push the punt gun to point blank range … hilarious 🦅🌎⚓️
Never would I ever think it possible to see a gun literally blow a heart out of a back, but here I am
These videos are always class. The Punt Gun is an absolute monster and not even a horde of zombies stood much of a chance.
Y'know I'm glad Scott is taking it easy. Sneezes are no joke, but I totally believe he could shoulder Fury if he wanted to.
I love this dude's ability to react to every gunshot into a ballistics dummy as if it's the first time he's ever done it. MFer sells it!
It makes me laugh so hard each time 🤣🤣🤣
I think it’s the same with fireworks or explosives .. doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen It.. it’s awesome every time
“Ohhhh!!!”😅
That was insane! The expansion from that slug hitting those Zombies was a site to behold. Thank you Scott once again for an amazing piece of content. I am honestly not to sure what to shoot with that thing. stack plywood and see how many it would take to stop that slug.
"The whole table got knocked over, that's a good sign."
Bro that's an understatement; that thing is a badass monster lmao
Epic.
The point blank zombie removal reminded me of an old “zombie removal” style of strapping a “zombie” to the front of a heavy cannon, and then, well ya know… science happens.
Could be an idea?
Right on Scott, keep up the good work!😎😄👍🏻
Didn't the Russians do that with a Polish imposter who tried to rule Russia? From some history I once read...
@@raylopez99Probably! 🤔
Ah good thing I cc a CIWS
12:22 SPECIAL BEAM CANOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Sheesh! This is the first time seeing a live puntgun in action. I honestly enjoyed seeing the power of the gun. I did not think the gun was over 100 pounds. Thank you so much for the demonstration and education you have given me. I have learned just because a gun is old fashion, does not mean it is obsolete or not effective.
Scott's invaluable contribution to science.
Bravo sir, you are a true visionary.
Can we say this is a first EVER? For a singular round of a gun to blow a heart CLEAN out of a body?
I've certainly never seen anything like that.
tis is what Biden thinks 9mm does
almost as bad as a 9mm
Him getting mad at the crowd. I feel that man 😂😂😂😂
Wow. That almost does as much damage as a 9mm. It blew its lungs out.
Imagine the damage it would do if he added a pistol brace and really upped the caliber...🤣
Good that the glock switches are illegal.. imagine a punt switch.. 😂
@lorddodger755 that's called an autocannon.
Scott, not sure how you can up the ante from here. Total and complete annihilation. It’s beyond beyond. Congratulations on 4,000,000+ subscribers you have earned them all.
Might have to get an actual cannon
Can we get Scott to test out a 155mm howitzer?
he might have to do explosives next

Saw you with Slow & Mo and loved your personality, knowledge, and passion. So glad you're around to make these videos, please continue being awesome and being safe!
Unintentionally, you've demonstrated the general effects of anti-personnel cannons during the wars of western nations in the 1800's. The 44 cal shot was much like a grape shot load. Napoleon was a pretty sick dude.
That has to be the clearest ballistic gel torso I've ever seen.

If you do a frame by frame on the triple torso shot, when it hits the solar plexus of the first one, there appears to be a bit of light being created by the impact. Pretty energetic projectile there.
