Great video Man. The home of the Punt Gun in the UK was Norfolk. They used to mount the gun on a Punt (boat) and paddle towards a flock of feeding ducks. Many records saw 30/40 ducks killed in one shot!! This was in the 17/1800s. Cheers, John, UK.
My neighbor had sawed off double barrel postal grip 8 gauge that hooked to a belt. He called them his crowd control guns. He also had a browning machine gun. He had quite the collection since he was on the ground in Europe and flew b29 towards Japan.. Lots of interesting guns
Honestly the size difference between a more modern pickup truck and an armoured truck/van from multiple decades ago really shows how big modern trucks have gotten over the years.
@@ZGryphon honestly I like big trucks but I feel like their is such a thing as too big I mean even monster trucks and semi trucks don’t feel as big as they used to because of how big regular pickup trucks are now.
We need another Slo-Mo Ballistics collab to christen this range properly. That intro was fun on a bun, and the punt gun continues to fascinate and awe “Imma put this camera in the truck and shoot it with the punt gun” *Camera begins to sweat and have chronometer flashbacks*
One thing I love abt this guy that I don't like about other destruction channels, is that he gets straight to the point of the video and doesn't waste our time for about 10 minutes just to do one test and then call it quits
That wax slug would probably have been the deadliest round to hit that truck, it used it's case and the wax to break through and then the birdshot shrapnel went everywhere inside which would have done A LOT of damage to anyone who would've been in there.
Yeah, I first thought that no wax round would ever do anything to armor, but then the slow-mo showed it going clean through the armor. I got speechless...
I can unfortunately see the reasoning for what you're saying, and it has made me not so hungry for my woman's spaghetti. It would be like a couple hundred steel ping pong balls bouncing around in there, shredding whatever got in their way. I hope he gets together with demo ranch and Brandon Herrera, and shows us what it would take to completely destroy that truck. maybe see how to at least semi properly use tannerite.
@shaventalz3092 Now there's an idea for a video! Collab with Demo Ranch and start firing various 1 lb. objects at the truck! The punt gun is practically a cannon already.
I love getting to hear the explosion initially behind the projectile within the punt gun, and then the same explosion out the end of the barrel becoming so much louder. that is seriously so cool!

Fury mercilessly looked down at the retired Armored car, now battered with dents and a gaping hole. As the hammer fell and the punt gun roared, spitting its one pound of solid death, the Armored Truck was no more. Mournful violins played as the sky darkened with rain. The first victim of the new range had been claimed by Scott's largest firearm.
Scott gets a new range. *proceeds to tear up the lawn by trying to drag an armoured truck sideways across it* lol New range is nice Scott, congratulations
I would think it still could, as well as Scott and his daddy do at that kind of thing, but I'd leave the holes in the doors (with epoxy around the jagged parts) as is.
One cool aspect about the new range is because of wider open-air space, it allows for the sound of gunshots to reverberate farther. Now, the punt gun for example has less of a thudding boom to a more cannon-like "thunder" when she fires. I'm now curious as to what the four bore, the JDJ Fat Mac, or any of the other safari rifles will sound like at this new set.
To be fair, Armored cars of that era were meant to protect the occupants and cargo from small arms fire, pistols, rifles, SMGs, light machineguns, stuff like that. They were not meant to stop a CANNON!
Scott is one if the few creators that i try to like the video several times forgetting i already liked it just because its so good at so many diffrent points.
That entire tow scene was so cool in a whole different category. The roaring of a diesel (assuming) engine trying to pull 10,000 lbs digging into the ground plus the chain, so cool.
I knew a guy who worked in an armored car delivering payroll and such, he said those things would be lucky to stop a .357 Magnum. Guess he wasn't lying.
My mother who worked for Wells Fargo stated that its ridiculous how many people tried to rob her bank, as they could simply rob the armored cars far easier... didn't know the cars were that poorly defended... makes me want to start making and renting some cars rated for higher calibers :O
@@MikeBarbarossa plus there is nothing really "bullet proof"... its more a balance between its ability to transport money and keep it and the guards safe.

Scott, please, for your own safety, never use chains to yank or tow like you did with the truck at 6:20 People have been killed by chains or shackles snapping and coming through the rear window. We sure don't want to lose you like that!
Something tells me that Scott and Cameraman Scott's Dad likely accounted for this some. The chain was mounted low on both vehicles. It would likely snap flat. Many that snap up and over like you are referring to are at a much more extreme angle pulling stumps and things. I'm not saying it's impossible. Just less likely with the setup they had.
It makes me happy in the pants every time the punt gun comes out. ;-) What a perfect way to christen your new gun range! The old one was like a comfy sock, change might be hard but the sound seems to echo much better where you are now, and you have lots of room to scale up your artillery to scary levels if you so choose!

Highly "educational" video mate. Well worth a watch. You're 100% correct. The punt gun gives zero flocks about the old armored car. That big lead slug passed through it like a hot knife through butter. Very impressive.

The spray of dirt on the far side of the armoured truck from the last shot is pretty amazing.

Like a marble at high speed or an actual bit of marble?
Jesus is the only way. We have all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins that may seem small in our eyes are big in God's and are worthy of Hell, such as lying lusting and stealing.

One thing I love abt this guy that I don't like about other destruction channels, is that he gets straight to the point of the video and doesn't waste our time for about 10 minutes just to do one test and then call it quits
Yeah, I think blowing a tunnel through an armored car qualifies as a proper christening of a gun range.
Punt gun videos never disappoint.
That wax slug would probably have been the deadliest round to hit that truck, it used it's case and the wax to break through and then the birdshot shrapnel went everywhere inside which would have done A LOT of damage to anyone who would've been in there.
Armor-penetrating fragmentation round.
Of course, once you get something over a pound moving that quickly, just about _anything_ is armor-penetrating.
How many wax slugs could you fire before fouling the barrel?
@shaventalz3092 Now there's an idea for a video! Collab with Demo Ranch and start firing various 1 lb. objects at the truck! The punt gun is practically a cannon already.
I love how you post a video on a random Wednesday at 4:25 and always the best intros. Love you man keep it up.
7:00 the sound of that punt gun is pretty incredible. Sounds like a crack of thunder.....
I love getting to hear the explosion initially behind the projectile within the punt gun, and then the same explosion out the end of the barrel becoming so much louder. that is seriously so cool!

One cool aspect about the new range is because of wider open-air space, it allows for the sound of gunshots to reverberate farther. Now, the punt gun for example has less of a thudding boom to a more cannon-like "thunder" when she fires.

I have seen people loosing a foot because a chain snapping.
