Thank you for another exceptional video explaining the consequences of using non-oem parts and improper assembly on the U20 head. With the increasing scarcity of parts it is tempting to use shortcuts, but your explanation makes it clear why the temption should be avoided.
Excellent work as Always! I have a spring compression tool that uses the camshaft as leverage and allows you to remove and replace the rocker arms, springs etc without removing the camshaft. Also, if you install the cam with the rocker arms in place you will be tightening the camshaft bearing caps against the valve springs that are pushing up against the cam. With my tool you install the rocker arms AFTER the cam is in place and all the bearing caps are tight, then allowing you to rotate the engine to install the rocker arms as the cam allows. Finally, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that the shaft of the upper chain tensioner be shimmed to take up the slack, otherwise the timing chain can strike the underside of the chain tensioner and cut into it on engine start because there is no oil pressure to the tensioner and the chain is slack. This damaged part will eventually break off and destroy the engine.
