You get to the point and NEVER waste the viewers' time. Much appreciated.

Thank you so very much for these great tutorials. I just love the short and quick format where you give just enough detail on a single feature or technique. No more wading through a forty minute video just to find out that what is needed at the thirty nine minute mark. And with a single topic per bite sized video, they are easy to find and fun to watch. I always watch the ones where I think I understand the topic, because I almost always learn something new. I know putting these short videos together is still a lot of work, so I for one, really appreciate your effort!

Thanks for the tutorial! I am a newbie and was wondering if there's a way of creating dotted outlines instead of solid ones when using selection brush just like you did?

Hi @26G-m7d! For the FX style of Outline, I don't think it is possible to make it a dotted line. However, when using a vector shape and creating a Stroke around the edge, you can change the outline. With a vector selected, you can use the Stroke panel (Window -> Stroke in Affinity Designer) or look at the top toolbar (in Affinity Photo). Hope this helps!

@@TechnicallyTrent Thank you so much for your kind reply! what I want to try is a person(or an object) of a picture with dotted outlines around using selection brush. I think I can draw lines with pen or pencil tool around the target I want in an image and change the solid lines into dotted ones in affinity designer like you said but it isn’t the method of using selection brush. So I searched it but it doesn’t seem affinity photo or designer has it but photoshop has. As a newbie, I was just wondering if there could be.

Rather than re-erasing jagged edges by hand, could you use the refine selection tool and increase the smoothness of the edges that way?

      Great tutorial by the way!

Hi @AffinityMinute! You can try to use the Refine option. I do like it for some things. But it sometimes leaves a ragged edge that needs to be manually touched up. So I'd recommend trying the Refine option first, and then cleaning it up if needed. Hope this helps!

Would love to see a video on how to make an abstract wallpaper.

Hi @TT-lw4le , thanks for the suggestion! "Abstract" is a pretty big topic. Is there a particular style you want to see?

I'm not sure where to begin with it (what tools to use, etc). Just looking some pointers to get started.

Process of trying to learn as much as I can about affinity photo and affinity designer. Mostly want to use them to support modifying images from artificial intelligence to be able to use in my woodworking projects. I am using gray scale type images and I am using black-and-white contrasting images.
the first for carving 3-D models, the second laser engraving. I am finding that I need to modify the pictures yo remove sections etc.
so I’m thinking that between infinity photo and infinity designer made. Do you have any videos on trying to modify artificial intelligence art, especially grayscale or contrasting black and

Hi @RobSandstromDesigns, thanks for the suggestion!
I currently do not have videos on that topic, but it is something I have thinking of doing because it is a process I use a lot for myself. Which AI program do you use the most?

@@TechnicallyTrent I am doing this quite a bit too, modifying AI-generated art. Would love to see more on that topic. I use Midjourney right now.
