      One was testy.
When a newcomer came in and she greeted them, it was a good reaction.
If she hissed and the other one would greet them..... who was very friendly, btw, .....they still got to come in my house.
If the friendly one avoided them, ran away, or in the worst case scenario, hissed at them,..... that person was limited to time in my house( like 5 minutes) and would never again pass my thresh hold.

@@DankNG47 They might sound like a nutcase but truth is weirder than fiction.
I had this same gut feeling about some happy go lucky single mom at a walmart, whom I'd never seen, known, or spoken to beforehand. She asked me where the younger toys were so she could get something for her 6 year old and I pointed her in the right direction, feeling a sense of dread and the feeling of death in the air. Like if I said one wrong thing this lady would snap my neck.
Not 5 minutes after I get done browsing and head over to the dairy section, this lady's backed herself up against an isle rack beating down a group of 7 employees all by herself while the other customers just sit there and watch, most of them giving the group like a 30 foot gap of space in case something went flying.
When bad people try to act like innocent souls, it sends off an unmistakable feeling that someone might only be able to pin down as "Magic" or "Superstition", when in reality it's most likely a basic human instinct that we've lost touch with over time about knowing when something's amiss. We live in a world governed by rules and laws that prevents (for the most part) people just going ape-shit on others. So when those negative, hurtful, or murderous people tries to hide it, our instincts tip us off immediately and tell us to get away from them.

Don't look at anyone, don't talk to anyone, just act normally and focus your direction to the other side of town. When you pass by someone and have to physically look backwards at them, knowing exactly where you want to go or what you need to do, that's the kind of person to watch out for.

Another thing I don't get is the parents who hear their children express concerns and apparently decide that their child is anti-social & should be forced to spend time with the person to teach them a lesson about being friendly. That's weird. One reason I find it weird is I grew up at a time when it was drilled into children's heads that they should be wary of strangers (1980s and '90s; I turn 37 in May). While it is good to be wary of people you don't know, it's now documented that the majority of kidnappings and such happen with people the victim does know. In that case, while being friendly is good, you should also be wary and listen to your gut feelings. It's baffling to tell your children, "Don't talk to strangers or go with them because it's dangerous!" and then say something like, "Oh, you're being mean to that new girl! I know! Why don't you ask her if you can stay at her house tonight?" While typing this I realized the stranger thing doesn't apply to a lot of these cases because the relatives thought they knew the shady people well, but you get the idea.

I’ve always looked younger than my age, so when I was 14, I really looked like 11 or 12.
My first week of H.S. In JROTC, there was a handsome senior that all the girls would gush over. I don’t remember the exact situation (this was in 1994), but a few girls including myself were standing around this dude (we may have been collecting an assignment from him or something). All the other girls looked their age and were way more in his league. I stood there quietly, while all the other girls were hardcore flirting and trying to get his attention.
He spots me and B-lines to meet me with this predatory smile and a look in his eyes. I instantly got a gut feeling.
He was very handsome, but all of that went away when I got that gut feeling.
He said something sweet to me, but all I heard was “Well, you’d be an easy one to take advantage of.”
The other girls continued to gush over him, but all my red flags were up.
Few years later I find out that he had been arrested for raping a girl.
My gut feeling has gotten me out of so many bad situations. Always listen to your gut.

People get that uncanny valley feeling from him. He's constantly getting stopped by the police, security guards, etc. who think he's "acting suspicious." He's actually the sweetest and most helpful person when you get to know him.
On the contrary, everyone liked my best friend's boyfriend except my husband, who didn't want anything to do with him. I have the reverse of this. We lived on a street that was a circle with one way in and one way out with lots of kids around so my parents would let us have free reign in the circle (our house was close to the way in/out and they could see if we left.) An older guy would, without fail, walk around the circle every day for at least two hours with a very nice walking stick and talk to the kids. We all thought he was weird and that he lingered to long talking to us all. One day I guess he noticed he was making us kinda uncomfortable and went to our house that evening after we'd gone inside for the night. Turns out he was a vet with PTSD, he was in the Navy and somehow survived the sinking of his ship in the ocean for almost two days before they found him and 99% of his squad had died. He walked to help ease his mind, and apparently talking with the kids helped him too since his adult children lived in another state.
After that day we spent as long as we could talking with him and learning about his life. He always made sure all the kids around were doing okay and would stand watch if strangers came into the circle just in case. It's been a decade or so now, but I like to think he's still around walking that circle.

Obviously you can't steal medicine etc. it's breaking the law, could harm those who need it - but that person is not just taking things from others for their own gain; they physically feel like they will die or live in a version of pain or hell without it and they lack the mental strength or motivation or support to find an alternative at the time. Treating these people like scum only makes them feel worse about themselves and *more* likely to keep abusing drugs. They need love, patience, understanding, other options and lots of these things.

What people should know is, that a person that's genuinly jelous about someone will rarely and almost never admit it. Or show signs that might reveal their jelousy. As this is often considered a shame or weakness in ones own mind. Admitting jelousy is so not fun that people avoids it like the plague.
So when someone has a bad vibe about someone and seems to wanna talk about it, especially since it comes off more as a warning and them being worried rather than the need for gosippy or having cruel/mean intentions or wanting to backtalk. Listen to them.

I used to have a dog named Sam (he died a few years ago) and Sam was a big German shepherd and he was super protective. If he didn't like you he would bite you and bark at you and keep you away from me. I would bring my guy friends home and Sam hated all of them. Except my now boyfriend. When my SO and I were just friends, Sam LOVED him, he would rub against him and lay near him and just love him, but my SO is allergic to fur but he still showed Sam affection. Sam would only do that to me. When I saw that and my SO went inside I looked at Sam and said "You like him huh" and I KID YOU NOT SAM SMILED AND LAYED DOWN! He would NEVER lay down if someone was at home he didn't trust. Sam gave his seal of approval. Sadly Sam never saw my boyfriend and I together like how we are now but I like to think Sam is still watching from doggy heaven.

None of my 3 siblings liked him either, but my mom was always like "No he's actually really nice. You guys just haven't given him a chance."
Anyway, one day my mom shows up at my dad's(her ex husband's) house near tears because she can't spend one more night with that guy. See, he was actually emotionally and physically abusive, insulting her all the time and getting violent when she tried to stand up for herself.
She apologized to us, her 4 children, because she thought we might miss him, but we were all like "No. Good riddance." He wanted a picture perfect family and a pretty little wife to wait on him hand and foot. Seriously, fuck that guy. If I ever see him again, I'd sooner spit on his face than talk to him, and I'll never forgive him for just how deeply he hurt my mom.

Day of, she comes by and we go to the shop for some snacks and stuff, i was playing with my saved up allowance, and being an anxious bad-feeling person- she walked all over me, convinced me to buy her some makeup with the promise of payback through other shopping trips on her, spent 100 quid in the end. Girl stayed over, mostly ignored me, complained about my anime posters and lack of nerdiness. Next day she leaves, all chill now right?
    Nope.
Went back to clean up my room and found the various trinkets i liked to collect were missing, one of my moms old antique pot dolls, and 20 quid from my money jar atleast also gone. I got the blame for it since my mom isnt exactly forgiving and had to watch that girl switch schools the next week. I never got my stuff or money back. Why do people always say whenever you get a gut feeling about someone that you're just jealous or paranoid. For example when I was 9 I just got a weird vibe from my new teacher I told my friends about it and they just said I was being paranoid and my trust issues were getting the best of me. A few days later she decided it would be a good idea if she punched me round the back of my head and was fired immediately. No one believed me when I said something was off until this incident.

I'm used to being called overly-sensitive to things but three of the times I got bad feelings about specific people, I turned out to be right. So, there are three were people I've known since I was 6 and I'd always had bad feelings about them, but never knew why. One was the brother of friends of my family's, one was the husband of another family we know, and one is the oldest brother of my best friend. I'd always gotten weird vibes from them all, and never really felt comfortable sleeping over at my friend's house. Within the last year I've learned the first guy molested kids, the second one raped one of his daughters, and my best friend's brother did the same to her and possibly her other brother. Saddest thing about this whole story is none of them have gotten in trouble, and all three of the guys were very close friends of our family for years.

whenever u have queries for homework , or theories u don't understand it's the most easiest and best way through online contacts.

and for my teacher I wasn't really talking about the teachers at school because they were mostly non chalant towards me and a few even bullied me along with the other kids. but I also had a bad habit of borrowing things and not returning them, not doing homework and spoiled brat moments.

I had an orchestra teacher like that. His fiancé died like the day before their wedding in a car accident. It was middle school. He had anger issues. When we didn’t play right or just ticked him off enough, he’d get really angry and yell LOUDLY. Other times, he was cool and we played games on Fridays, and he had generally friendly vibe when he wasn’t mad, esp with the kids he liked. If he didn’t like you, he wouldn’t be super nice to you. If he did, he would be super friendly, and it was mainly the girls. Including me. We didn’t realize it then, I’m kind of fully realizing just now, but that man was a predator. He’d invite me and my friend group into his classroom during lunchtime, and say we were his favorite students. A lot of kids including me said he was our favorite teacher. On multiple occasions he’d carry girls and put them into the trash can as a joke. The rest of the class laughed along, but I’m sure some kids got the vibe. He also had a FB Messenger group and had the students added and it was pretty active. Of course there were plenty of times he’d yell at us and made some kids cry, so eventually some kid reported him for anger issues, thank god. He tried to stay in touch with us as we went into high school, but the chat died down and eventually he went to personal messaging. He and I messaged occasionally because your girl STILL DID NOT REALIZE what was happening. I said I wanted to travel. He said you should come to my state half jokingly, half serious. That’s when I was like wait a second. Took me long enough. My friend, a boy, from orchestra talked about it w me a few years later. He said he was definitely a creep, and that’s when it came full circle. I blocked him just this year when I realized he was still on my FB, he had found my IG and still liked my photos, hadn’t been active for a year to notice. 😰

My now ex stepfather. He was a church deacon, the school superintendent, Mr. all American, and very charming. Everyone in the town knew him and LOVED and respected him. When he was dating my mom, I instantly disliked him and would not be alone in the room with him. He seemed perv-y and when no one was looking would stare at me in a weird sexually inappropriate way (I was 17). Well my mom married him and he creeped me out so much I slept with my bedroom door locked. He also started saying sexual things to me when my mom was gone to work or shopping so I started hardly ever going home. I stayed with my friends all the time. I told some people how I felt about him and how gross he was but no one believed me and told me I was jealous that my mom didn't spend as much time with me or that she wasn't still with my dad, all that BS.
Fast forward a year and a half. My mom found a journal he was keeping in secret. It had his big gambling debts listed, photos of me that he had stolen from a big box of photos I had in my room AND sexually explicit stuff he wrote about me as well as other teen girls. She confronted him. He told her if she ever told anyone he would kill her and that he could get away with it because he had everyone fooled and they loved him. She divorced him and we never told anyone what happened and moved to another town (my college town). We were terrified of him because he was psychotic. No one knew except us. My mom apologized over and over for bringing him into our lives and dismissing my suspicions.

When I was a junior in high school, I met this guy (who was a year older) through a mutual friend. Right off the bat I felt uneasy around him. His vibe felt really aggressive and I always felt the need to stand far away from him. My friends all seemed to like him though so I did my best to just put a smile on my face whenever he was around.
Prom season came and he asked me if I wanted to go with him and he gave me a necklace as a present. My heart sank and I felt my face become pale but I did my best to tell him nicely that I wasn’t interested in him like that, and that I had to work on that day (I really did I didn’t lie about that)
After he graduated, he and I lost contact and I never thought about him again after that. Towards the end of my senior year, I saw a local news story about a guy who tried to attack his girlfriend with a knife because she refused to sleep with him, and the guy from high school’s mugshot appeared on my TV screen.
Thankfully, the girl got out unharmed. In fact, she actually bodied him was able to pin him down long enough for the police to get to his house

There was this girl that I met on my university course through a mutual friend. Within 5 minutes of hanging around her I had a gut feeling that something was “off” about her despite the fact she seemed confident, funny, sociable and friendly. She was also very popular, well liked by her peers and highly talented. I kept replaying the interaction in my head for days to figure out what about her had made my spidey senses tingle, to no avail. I assume I must’ve been paranoid or imagining things so I move on. By chance over the next few months we ended up collaborating on various music projects. I was a cellist and she was a violinist, one time we both took part in an ensemble that premiered a composition written by a mutual friend at a local gig. This was when alarm bells really started to go off. The entire evening, whenever she was not talking to someone, she was staring at her phone with her head in her lap or twiddling her hair or playing with her nails and giving off a very bad vibe. I wasn’t getting an “I’m feeling anxious and uncomfortable and I need to be alone” vibe from her and instead a “I fucking hate the world, any asshole who dares to talk to me will be added to my enemy list” one. She would alternate between this and being surprisingly upbeat and charming during the evening. At one point she went into the toilet and came out like 10 seconds later without flushing the toilet. I had to use it afterwards and thought I could smell drugs but dismissed it. Later on whilst backstage, in the presence of many musicians we didn’t know who were also performing that night, she burped REALLY loudly and exaggeratedly and everyone stopped and looked at her briefly. She was so nonchalant about it despite the fact it was so obviously inappropriate. Despite all this, we had some really good conversations and began to bond so we exchanged numbers and began texting each other over the next few days. It was fun and good natured initially and we had good chemistry, but then she would alternate between being easygoing and friendly to extremely blunt, cold, insensitive and condescending at the drop of a hat. It was really confusing. At times it felt like I was walking on eggshells. She very enthusiastically invited me to go to a concert with her but the entire time she had that same “don’t talk to me vibe” and looked as if I had dragged her there myself. The penny dropped when I noticed that whenever she went to the toilet she would come back with almost a different personality. She would go from being introverted and cold to extroverted, euphoric, manic and condescending and critical of everything and everyone. Also, one time I saw her in the corridor and her facial muscles were twitching and she seemed completely out of it mentally. Turns out she was a drug abuser who had personality disorders including NPD, BPD and a long list of mental illnesses. She had tried to kill herself multiple times in the past and had been admitted to a psychiatric hospital many times. I learned from past boyfriends that she was incredibly abusive, toxic, unpredictable and a massive bully. I still don’t know what it was I picked up on during our first encounter before the big red flags started to reveal themselves, but I do find it very fascinating.

I'll always remember this one because of how sudden and fucking insane it was. It was my first semester at college, and in America, almost every college does the bullshit orientation week at the beginning to situate everyone and help build connections between you and your floor mates, only to find out people will eventually go their own way. Well, there was this one guy, and I won't give his name or the school I attended.. But I just had a bad feeling about him when I first met him, I didn't see anything in him, he was a haircut so-to-speak. He wore cowboy boots, sunglasses, and a curved brim hat, typical Midwestern drugstore cowboy. Anyway, everybody was cool with him, I lived in an all guys cube in an on campus residential hall. He got along with almost everybody except me, he just didn't like me for some reason, he'd crack wise with me and he was just super aggressive, so I just avoided talking to him, easy enough. I'm a laid back guy and I don't have time for negative people. Well fast forward a few months into the semester and he gets kicked out of the dorms. At first I thought it was over something stupid like drinking in the dorms or something, but as it turns out, he was in a fraternity on campus, and he got caught raping an unconscious female at one of the parties. I haven't seen him on campus at all, so I assume he got expelled as well. But I'll never forget that. I just couldn't find it in myself to like this guy, had a bad feeling about him from the get-go, and it turns out he's one of the worst kinds of people. Super crazy. Sometimes you have to trust your gut.

Its weird, because he would ask me why I wasn't with the other girls, and he wasn't really clingy, sometimes he would stay through the whole hour but there were others wher we would leave, which seemed really innocent, normal "I want to keep company to this alone kid" behavior. I saw nothing predatory in his speech

I sort of have a story here:
So, a 6th grade teacher who I had for a month or two (as like an extra class) really creeped me out for whatever reason. This was probably my overactive brain making things up, but I'm not entirely sure. The first time I spoke to him was when I was looking for his classroom; at the time he was standing beside the door to the room, which happened to be at the end of the hall. I can't say why this freaked me out as much as it did, but I got a weird vibe from the whole thing. I didn't mind the class (English-related if I remember right) but always felt uncomfortable around this teacher. All my friends - and everyone else as far as I can tell - loved him. He was very laid-back and chill, allowed talking in his class, etc., classic likeable teacher. He was quiet and not super approachable, but not strict, so students liked him. I got the distinct feeling that he didn't like me, though. To this day (couple years later), I have no idea why I felt so weird around him, but I've kept my distance since. The whole thing just made me uneasy.

    Story time:
There was a cafe near where I live that was run by this lovely polish woman. She poured her heart and soul into the cafe and everyone loved it; it became a sort of hub for the local childminders and such because it had a kids play area in the back. The food was good and it was really cosy.
But the woman was struggling to keep it running smoothly so she employed this guy. He was sweet and charming and a great chef and everybody thought he was just the best. But not my brother. I’ve always been taught to not base people on first impressions so i buried any gut feelings I may have had an I liked the guy, but my brother despised him. We’d go the the cafe a lot and my brother would hate it, constantly complain and whine about not liking the food. The chef guy caught on and would try to be extra friendly, and impress my brother: do card tricks and stuff like that. We all thought my brother was weird for disliking the guy.
Then one day it gets out that the cafe had to close for a bit due to a substantial funds loss. Turns out the chef guy was a conman, he stole half the cafe’s money and ditched.
Luckily the polish woman reopened, but I’ve always trusted my brother’s gut feelings on new people. My brother now loves that cafe and we go there all the time.
Sorry for how long it is, thanks for reading :)

I’ve learned to trust my gut feeling. Back when I was a teen I was with a friend, we ran into an old school friend (male) at the mall. He was with 2 people we didn’t know. They gave me the creeps. I felt physically sick when they came up to us. They asked if we wanted to go with them and “hang out” and normally would have done so but this time I felt apprehensive. I said “no thanks” a couple days later I see the school friends picture on the news. The night before I saw him at the mall he and the people he was with had held up a store and killed the young lady that worked there. God knows that they would have done to us had we gone with them.

My gut feelings are always ducking right. My female cousin and I just never were very close, but she moved to my city and of course, nearby to me as I was her only relative there. Well flash-forward, she dated a "handsome, rich and polite boy" and pretty much let him move in. I downright got the hibbie jibbies from him and I warned her to dump him. She didn't listen, and married him _months_ later. Time before she got pregnant, I told her she could still get out of this mess, she flipped me off, and I said : *"When your fairytale comes crashing upon you and there's a gun aimed at your head, you better come back to me **_crawling and begging for my forgiveness_** "* Guess what? A kid later, her perfect husband just vanished one day and there were angry drug dealers sending threats and demanding where the bastard had gone with the money and "merchandise". To appease them a bit, I advised her to tell them all info on him and sell all her property and give them the money so they would just leave her alone. And no, it isn't US or any other first-world country, so it's just never worth to involve the law and cops in your issues.

There was a coach at my school that seemed to be popular with his students, athletes, whatever you call people a coach coaches-not an athlete, so I don't know. Didn't hear a bad word about him (though to be fair, didn't hear too many words about him either way), but occasionally ran into him in the hallways. He had kinda a surfer-dude attitude, but for me it always came across as a little fake, a little creepy. Never was able to put my finger on why, and being a (then-undiagnosed) Aspie, my senses about such things can sometimes be a bit wack.
Then he was discovered to be sexting a female student, a warrant went out for his arrest, he fled like 75 miles into a middle-of-nowhere small town out of a Western, and then he was caught when he sexted the same student again.
So autism powers for the win I guess.

I just turned 21.

One of my friends has Aspergers and unfortunately I always feel that she doesn’t get red flag warnings enough. She has married a coworker she met at their previous employment but he’s about 9 or 10 years older than her. And he doesn’t look young, he looks much older than her. She kind of has always looked younger than her age.
Anyways, he’s always given me a creepy vibe. But, literally I’m the only one that seems to feel that way. My other friends are all okay with him and her brother and family are too.
I don’t think he’s a psycho or anything but I can’t shake the feeling that he might not really be completely honest with her or something. I just can’t trust him.
But, I guess maybe that’s what best friends do.
To be honest, I don’t fully trust my other best friend’s husband either, but it’s in a different way. I just feel my other friend’s husband can be a little egotistical and sometimes that causes him to disregard others. But, it’s kind of minor. Overall they definitely care about each other and are good for one another.
I think I do trust my third friend’s husband though. He just is calm and rational and he obviously cares for my friend.
But yeah, I am glad to hear people trust their gut.
Like I said, the one guy one of my friends is married to, it has been years and nothing bad has happened but I’ve tried for years now to ignore my gut feeling on him but never have been able to get rid of it. I treat him nicely and friendly but I just never fully trust him. And I guess as an adult it is unfortunate because once your best friend is married to someone you get the heebie jeebies feeling around there’s not much you can do about that, lol. You just try to ignore it and hang out with your friends at a house get together or whatever.
Anyways, I do do my best to never put my friend down and always encourage and support her.

i sort of dated this guy and fell in love with him, all the while being paranoid that something was wrong with him. with a history of anxiety, i told myself it was just worries. after many events where he contemptously tried humiliating me and when he eventually broke it off, i could for sure say that my gut feeling was right, and he was a bad guy. because i had been in love with him and he broke it off, obviously nobody believed me when i said there was something eerie about him, like, he seemed like he hurt people for pleasure. it was brushed off by my friends as me not being able to handle rejection. i even started to believe what they were saying! fast forward a year or so, he sexually assaults me and afterwards tries ruining my reputation and isolates me from my friend group. during the assault, i was seriously afraid what he'd be willing to do, because he laughed in my face when i kicked him and hit him and told him to stop, so in the moment i just denied what was happening and tried saving myself. like, he was choking me to the point where i was about to pass out. i was afraid as hell what he was going to do if i told anyone, so i just convinced myself we'd just had sex and that i wanted it. i completely forgot how terrorized i'd really been. one day when my best friend was speaking fondly of him, the memories came back and i just snapped and told her the story. for so long i'd swallowed every story of how charming he was, and everybody excusing his shitty behaviour. it felt like a personal attack that people still liked him, despite him messing with me for years. i'd completely repressed it though. but when he was buttering up my best friend and charming her senses away, i felt he'd gone too far. so out of the blue, i told the story, and it felt like it was recurring to me word by word. it was just as new to me as it was to my friend. only then somebody started believing me that i'd been right back then about him.

This reminds me of the time I worked at this one place... I started on the same day as this one guy and we got along because we bonded over being the new hire. For some reason, one of the older staff did not like him and it was obvious to me. She's one of the oldest staff there and would always avoid him or act civil but never friendly when he was around. Little did I know majority of the older staff had bad vibe about him but they hid it pretty well because we were close as we were only a couple of years apart in age while the other younger staff was about five years older than him.
He was arrested for drug possession - not at work, I found out from my manager who was tasked to check it I was involved in drugs as well and yes, I took a drug test and I was cleared, there was never a problem, it was a formality. The guy went to jail. It suddenly make sense why the supervisor tried really hard to keep our schedule opposite of each other. I shared maybe three shifts with him a month. The supervisor admitted he was worried the guy would corrupt me because he had a feeling I was a good kid (19 at the time) and wanted to make sure I was okay. No one even acted surprised when the guy was arrested.
Another two new hire came in after that and no one had a problem with us "new kids" getting along so it really was just that guy.

Our parents were friends so we ended up hanging out a lot for the next few years. Eventually I gave into my instincts and stopped spending time with her. Flash forward to 9th grade, she’s been dropped from the clique because she wasn’t “cool enough” for them or something. She gets outed as a huge homophobe and racist, and eventually gets expelled for snorting pills in the school bathroom. Guess I had a reason to hate her guts

He was the wholesome, committed relationship type. People barely knew me, but we were associates so it was weird when he’d occasionally message me and push having a “no-strings attached” relationship where He’d offer to pick me up and “cuddle” at his house.

They recognize that it’s bad, however, and are kinda scared of what they are. After a while, and the nevertheless appropriate consequences, he gets his life back on track (and helps others in similar situations). It’s really quite inspiring

I have this issue with my mother's boyfriends. The first one she had after she and my dad broke it off I instantly recognized as douche, and I was right, though it was out of a lack of emotional control. The second one was a nice guy, but he got arrested when he and a buddy of his broke a couple of traffic laws. My Step-dad (BF#3) I dislike to an extent, and when we met I knew something was up. Turns out, he has trust issues because his ex cheated on him for the entire time they were together, and he has anger issues like my dad, but he's trying.
The lesson? I have a sixth sense for this shit, and my mom attracts guys who can't control their temper.
Edit: Bf#3 was also a douche. He tried and decided it was easier to try and abuse my mom. Didn't end well for him, as now he can't show his face around here. Latest guy though? He's actually pretty chill. Best any of her relationships have gone since my dad
