Even go to a gas station or store and call 911 from there. Some small areas rely on state cops and don't have a police station nearby, but there's always police on the road nearby.

Dude could you fucking imagine waking up in a coffin and just panicking and trying to get out but you can’t because you’re 6 feet underground? Like imagine slowing dying already buried whether from lack of oxygen or starvation or whatever happened... that would be so fucking terrifying holy shit
And could you imagine finding out that someone you loved died that way? Oof man...
A lot of people in my family are afraid of being accidentally buried alive so we’re very cautious when someone dies. If they died in hospital than we all go there to sit with the body and stay there a few hours. Then 3 days later we hold an open-casket funeral. Then the body in cremated a number of days later and we bury they ashes. So lots of time for someone to notice whether the person is still breathing or has a pulse and then we burn the fuck outta them so there’s no way they could wake up underground.

      @virulenthunter3017 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@MysticKoolaid808 I get what you're saying, my point is is that it was the incorrect decision and I just wanna point that out. The man brandished a knife, meaning she wasn't in immediate danger unless she stopped, from the story he wasn't driving aggressively and wasn't trying to ram her off the road meaning that she was safe until she made a stop. During that time she should've continued driving, calmed down and made a plan. Phone the police if she was able to or drive to the nearest police station (you should always know where one is located near you) instead of delivering the stranger to her doorstep. Long story short there was a group of dudes that were on the road assholes and my two friends flipped them off for it and they started following me, I called 911, explained the situation, and they had me meet with officers at a gas station. I was able to give them the license plate and year/make/model of the car and when they saw the cops and me pulling in they just kept going. That was the correct course of action for that scenario, what she should've done OR gone to a police station. Nobody is stupid enough (I would hope) to try anything at a police station. There is NO excuse in my book for her leading a dangerous stranger to her doorstep endangering herself and family in the future.

My grandpa’s friend was an ambulance driver here in sweden and one day he’d gotten a call that a german man had driven off the road and hit a tree. They arrived at the scene and sure enough there was the man. He was fine, just in chock.
They asked him what happened and all he said was ”there was a moose driving a car”. They didn’t take him seriously and just assumed he had hit his head or something.
But here’s the thing, the got a call just a minute later about another car that had driven off the road only like a kilometer down the road in the opposite direction. Obviously they had another man to take care of and couldn’t go to the scene but got the information later that yes, a moose was indeed in the other car.
There is a logical explenation though. It was a convertable car. The man who drove it, who sadly ended up dying under the weight of the moose, had hit the moose and it had fallen into the car. I dont’t know how the car managed to stay on the road or for how long it even did, but it did.
The german was right all along.
Oh and I don’t know if the moose survived or not, was never told that

just recently, not even two weeks ago, an irish girl went on vacation with her family to malaysia. the girl had some disabilities (not sure which one) and one night when her parents woke up, the window was open and she was gone. a ten day search ensued and they couldn’t find her, then they found her completely naked body floating in a river face down. nobody in ireland actually knows if she was kidnapped or assaulted. i feel really bad because nobody knows exactly what happened to her.

When I was 16, a girl was walking down the street I lived on, which in itself was a red flag because we live on a two lane country road where there's hardly any houses and no traffic lights or street-lamps. She was decently dressed and looked about my age, and she asked if I could spare her any change so I gave her what I had, which was probably only $11. My mom noticed she was barefoot (another major red flag) and gave her a pair of old tennis shoes she had. She went on her way down the road and she didn't come back to my house, but I thought nothing of it and just assumed she might've gotten a ride because we live in a small-ish Texas town (10,000 people) with a fairly low crime rate. Fast forward a few months, I was talking to a girl from a group foster home down the road and she mentioned how one of the girls went missing and was never found. The girl that came to my house perfectly matched her description of the missing girl, and I was freaked the hell out. I think she said that the police declared the girl dead after a month or so of searching. I still feel bad about that situation and I regret that I didn't do more to help the poor soul, I'm gonna have to carry that weight on my shoulders until the bitter end. All I can do is just hope she's in a better place now and that God has mercy on me for not preventing it even when I had every chance to.

Benjamin Danielsen I might be reading this wrong, but you wrote that the police "declared the girl dead after a month or so of searching".... did they find a body? If not, she could be alive and they just wanted to write off the case? Sometimes it takes family members advocating for them and she didn't have any 😢 If you are haunted, you could ask to see the records (freedom of info act).

My mother used to be a waitress in Birmingham during the mid to late 80's. She was attending college at UAB where my grandpa was a professor. She was quite young, already had a apartment at 19.
Since she worked in downtown Birmingham, there were a lot of nights where she and the other waitresses had to leave the restaurant in a large group and not leave until everyone was in their cars.
There was a period where waitresses were disappearing and showing up dead around town, the guy doing it would harass them prior and follow them. He attempted this with my mom but she got really loud and defensive, walking around her car in circles.
Eventually a cop showed up and chased him down when he tried to flee.

If you're ever buried alive you have to pull your shirt above your head and use all of your strength to open the coffin (I think that laying on your side works but I'm not sure, I forgot). Since the dirt is still not dried up (unless there was rain the previous morning/night, you're screwed), you will have an easier way of escaping by just digging, digging, digging and never stop digging (use any items you have on yourself, like shoes or a belt). The worst thing to do in that situation is panic and take quick breaths because the air will run out soon.

Suffocation from the lack of outside air would have claimed the life of anyone buried alive. There is also the possibility of the coffin being crushed by the weight of the dirt pressing down on it. The risk of sudden collapse was the main reason the test was aborted after only 30 minutes. After the coffin was uncovered, it was found to have buckled significantly."

Ooh I got one. My grandma and the rest of my mom's family all live in Germany, near the border of France. Of course, there is a lot of history regarding the war and lots of fighting and death in that area. In case you are wondering, the town's I am talking about are Schönau and Petersbachel. Now, my grandma is pretty old, in her late 80's. She is extremely intelligent and honest, never tell a lie. When she was younger, an old woman told her a story. Now, people of that time weren't telling scary stories for fun, since the period of time was so solemn. An elderly woman told my Oma (I don't know under what circumstances) a story of the time when she was a midwife. She helped to deliver a baby, and she had to travel from Schönau to PB. The quickest way was up the mountain, Maimont. As she was travelling with the baby in the woods, she came across a crossroads (it's not bs, I walked the mountain earlier this summer with my family and saw the place she was stuck). The trail split five or so ways, and not knowing which one she whispered aloud, "if only I knew which way to go". Just then, a rustle in the woods, and a small man appeared with a lantern, without saying a word. She was alarmed, but followed silently as the man led her along. He led her all the way to PB, to the door of the house even. Not knowing what to say, she managed to get out a "thank you". The man turned around, looked up at her dead in her eyes and said, "you'd better be happy you said thank you". Then he vanished. Like I said, even though it sounds bs, my Oma would never, ever lie, and the midwife who told her was dead serious. I'm not one to believe everything I hear either, but hearing her tell that story (keep in mind she only tells it if you ask, to her it's not some novelty thing to throw out to everyone) I know it's true.

The story kind of reminds me of a fairytale. Like how a spirit, or something like that, comes to your aid but you have to show gratitude, or something like that, to the spirit. Could very well be an actual living human, but the fact that this man randomly showed up out of nowhere and showed the woman where to go w/o her telling him (I’m assuming she didn’t mention her destination for him to overhear her) is pretty suspicious. 🧐
Just a suggestion, but maybe you can try searching up those kinds of stories; or ask around if anyone else has experienced something like that; or heard of other stories like that. Could make for a fun side project if you ever get bored and need something to do. Or if you just want to take your mind off of certain things?

So about a year and a half ago, I'm looking after my grandad, who suffered from Sundowner's and had just begun to forget important things like eating. I share 12 hours of a 24 hour shift with a private nurse, the former of which I cover the twilight hours. It's about 5:30am and I'm winding down, ready to walk home (I live in a small town, rural with a riverside view of unspoiled Virginia forestry across the bridge -- home is three blocks away). I get the call that the nurse is 5 min. away, so I step out on the porch to catch the early fall breeze and wait for her to pull up. I don't if it was something I smelled or saw, maybe heard(?), but I immediately had the strong urge to go back inside. Our nurse must've gotten the same feeling cuz when she finally got in, she looked visibly nervous. I tell her I didn't feel like walking home yet and I'd take a nap in the spare bedroom by the basement (this house was 3 floors and the basement was just a small room next to the kitchen, with a water heater and a tiny crawlspace pantry). I was lights out for a little over 4 hours when the nurse wakes me up and says I dodged a bullet. Apparently, around the same time I was fixing to head home, a very large black bear had just wandered in from the toe path at the edge of town. It had mauled and eaten two dogs in the yard across the street from my grandad's house and managed to chase down an early morning jogger, scratching her and putting a nasty bite into her leg. She fought it off and got into a neighbor's unlocked car. By then cops were showing up with animal control and the animal was quickly put under. It was apparently a repeat offender for causing problems like that, but not outside the confines of another relocation.
I heard a few months ago the same bear mauled some guy near Kentucky. He didn't make it, so the animal was put to sleep. Didn't have to happen.

Russia, Ukraine. The is year is 1932. The Ukraine is doing well for itself, has been for a while. It has it's own unique culture different from Russia as well as it's own currency. As such the Ukraine wanted to be an independent country and started to tell the Soviet Union. It would also seem that the Ukraine was going to win it's own independence.
The current president of Russia and head of the Soviet Union is Joseph Stalin. He hears about Ukraine wanting independence and realizes they will soon lose control if they don't act fast. Joseph Stalin sends the WPRA (Workers' and Peasants' Red Army) to Ukraine to cease EVERY LAST GRAM OF EDIBLE FOOD. It did not matter if the food was growing, stored or hidden. If it was found, it was taken.
After all the food was taken from the Ukraine area, the WPRA went on daily scouting expeditions throughout the entire Ukraine. The food that was taken was sold to other countries at extremely cheap prices to "help" with the current market crash people called "The Great Depression".
Food was still grown and harvested, but those who where doing in where watched with a *VERY* close eye. If they even so much as took a bite of food they where beaten if not killed. It didn't even matter if you where a newborn or elderly, If you where caught with food, you where beaten or killed.
Anyone found dead was buried without a ceremony or tombstone. This was done in order to hide the dead bodies.
It wasn't until sometime in 1933 where those living in the Ukraine where allowed to eat again. This story was hidden by Russian government for many years. As far as I can tell, this is still not known widely. As many as 10,000,000 because of this event now known as the "Holodomor". Which is in fact the largest man made famine in human history.
Edit:As many as 10,000,000 *people died* because of this event now known as the "Holodomor". :3

I've got a few from my dad's time in the army, I have no dates but I'll just share these two:
    1) Two young recruits, about 18-19, are on patrole around the army barracks, both have rifles but no bullets. It's about midnight and they are bored so they start playing cops and robbers, fireing at each other. Well it gets to 2 and they are coming off patrol, and have to load the rifles. One stupidly taps his friend on the shoulder and shoots him. Point blank in the face. Their comander hears the shot and callers the medic. She was the man's wife and told my dad about the scene. The one who shot his friend is on the floor screaming 'he's still breathing!' over and over. And his friend was, but he had a gaping hole in the back of his head. He was brain dead and his body just needed to catch up. It took almost half an hour for him to stop.
    2) My dad was station in Northen Ireland in the early 90s, they had parties where civilians could come every now and then. One of my dad's friends, who had had far too much to drink gets lucky, but she wants to go home for the deed, so he gets his car and they drive the hour to her house. All's fine but he's got to be back for his duties at 6 the next morning, and he leaves her house at around 5 and starts to speed back. Just outside the barracks he collides with another car, inside is a mother of 5 and her mother, both die on impact. He didn't, his car crumpled, trapping him inside when it goes up in flames. His friends, people who have known him and fought with him, himwho are on guard duty can't do anything but watch. Over 20 men have to go to therapy because they were stuck listening to him scream as he burned alive.

I went searching anyway, and looked around the area that he was finally found in. Dead. But I hadn't searched far enough back, plus apparently his body was covered with brush. You shouldn't think nobody cares about when kids go missing. It's just in many cases, citizens are forbidden from helping. The part that gets annoying and frustrating is being unable to do shit to help.

In my opinion, one of the scariest things I can imagine would be the sinking of the SS Atlantic on April 1, 1873.
After running aground during a severe storm, she listed almost completely onto her port side with the stern of the ship being submerged. Any survivors who managed to get off the ship were faced with lashing rain and wind and near freezing cold water, with the only shelter being a half submerged rock that several were swept off of and subsequently drowned. Throughout the sinking, the women and children who were trapped in the stern could be heard screaming and pounding on the portholes as their rooms slowly flooded, drowning them as the ship slipped deeper into the water.
Of the 952 people aboard, only 371 survived, all of whom were men save for one young boy who was pulled from his room through a broken porthole, though his mother couldn't fit and was left inside. Other than him, every single woman and child aboard the ship died that cold April morning.

There is a house down the street next to the town feed mill. It’s really spooky and run down and literally all the kids in town think it’s haunted (its nearly right across from a graveyard so that’s a bonus) and just an overall weird place. My friend got on some sort of town committee where high schoolers are present to give their views on town going-ons, and she was talking to me about the house while I was on the bus. Turns out, an old woman lived in the house and one day she tripped and fell into her radiator and basically melted into it. She didn’t have much family except for a son or brother that was special needs, so when they finally found her they had to scrape her off of the radiator since she was there so long. The worst part? The son has been sneaking in to live in the house (its been deemed uninhabitable and has no electric or water) with a generator, and if a fire starts because of his carelessness or any mistakes the feed mill will immediately go up in flames since its full of grain dust and hay

One actor in my country said that his daughter(70 years ago if I remember correctly) was buried alive because they were so desperate after seeing so many dead people that they buried whoever they didnt see moving(after an earthquake).
In case of emergencies funerals are quick(while in other cases the body is in the church for a long period) so it was more common to have during the periods with plagues or/and earthquakes.

When I was 11 years old, I went to the market and saw this kid (maybe in 4 or 5 years old) eating ice-cream with a big man beside her . That big man gave me a "suspicious" vibe but who am I to judge? So I went back to my home . 3 days later, I found out that that kid was be kidnapped . Later on the police found her body without kidney, heart and a pair of eyes. Her mother killed herself a week later .

for the one at about the 12:50 mark. ya I'm from Ontario and I remember that on valentine's day of this year, an 11 year old girl got kidnaped by her dad. he was SUPPOSED to have her home at like 8 o'clock pm and he never did bring her home and her mom got worried and she called the cops 3 hours later and an amber alert was issued at around 11 o'clock or eleven thirty and the next day there were people bitching about being woken up in the middle of the night on twitter. I remember reading a tweet from one woman saying that the cops shouldn't of issued the alert in the middle of the night, and that the 11 year old girl was fine and that she consensually went with her dad. like NO she wasn't safe of fine, like what? she was found MURDERED...BY HER FATHER! so no she wasn't fine, far from it. and like I said before, she was SUPPOSED to be home at a certain time and she wasn't there. ya sure she did consent to go with here dad , but when she is supposed to be home at a certain time and she isn't there, its kidnap. so don't bitch about an alert that woke up your perfectly happy/healthy/safe kid whom isn't in danger or hurt. the police have better things to worry about... like a kid who is ACTUALLY IN DANGER/IN HARMS WAY!

What ended up happening in that situation broke my heart, cried a bit about it with my grandma cause we both felt awful for that family but apparently not anyone else I was around that day.

I have a real story to tell, which had happened to me in 2016. My mom was driving me and my step brother home from my gymnastics class. My step dad and his daughter were in a different car driving quite a far distance in front of us. My mom was blasting the music so we couldn't hear anything happen outside. We live in a pretty nonviolent city/town in California, (Castro Valley). All of a sudden, a black or blue car zoomed past us, almost hitting our car and we see something on the road in front of us. We thought immediately that car hit an animal, but as soon as we got closer we made out a human figure laying in the middle of the road. We stop the car and get out to see a man (37 year old with kids) bleeding out with his friend doing CPR screaming at us to call the police. Apparently he was caught up with a drive by shooting. I was 14 at the time (I am now 17) and my step brother was only 6, which I told him to stay in the car because I knew it would traumatize him. My step dad finally shows up. He's a sheriff and immediately preforms CPR. I didn't eat dinner that night, and had to throw away my flip flops because they were covered in blood. The mans daughter was standing behind a car balling. He was pronounced dead on scene with a total of 6-7 gun wounds. The person who killed him never got caught. That's my only experience with gruesome violence. I do not wish this on anyone to have to witness this sort of stuff. I needed therapy because of it. You can look up "Man shot on Wilson Ave Castro Valley 2016" to find more details. Thanks for listening.

When I was a kid (10-11) mid 2000s me, my brother and his friends were just hanging out near a park around 9 at night and about to go home. We heard a ball bouncing near the basquetball courts so we got closer and saw what apeared to be a shadowman with long rabbit ears and a big long tail just jumping up and down with the ball. When we made noise it stopped and tossed the ball and got into a four leg position like an animal. All we did was just panic and run without looking back. This happened in the Chicago suburbs it was so creepy. Now these days I'm always curious to find out about these urban stories, they are so interesting sometimes.

One of the worst for me is the 1900 hurricane in Galveston Texas. Aside from the horror of it practically wiping out the town, there's the fact that so many people had to realize they were going to die and they couldn't even do anything about it.
Imagine being trapped in a house that's already been ripped off it's foundation and is just being carried around in the water. You can't leave because you'll be torn apart by debris outside, but you can't stay since you're sinking and smashing into other buildings. And that's not even getting into what happened to the local orphanage and what happened to the people who tried to evacuate on the train...

I'm a very introverted person so I'm in my house almost all the time, I was 13 at the time sleeping on the couch in my aunt's living room with my oldest brother because we didnt have a house at that time. My brother had Wilson's disease so he couldn't take care of himself, he was making weird noises one day and I was concerned so I got up to tell my mom but she brushed it off as him making the grunting noises he usually does, I fall asleep on the couch. In the morning, I wake up to my mom crying because my brother had suffocated in his sleep, he had rolled over and started suffocating which is what that noise was I heard. This was in 2013 and I'm still super depressed over his death because even though he had horribly violent mood swings (before he was resorted to using a wheelchair with absolutely no use to his arms and legs) he was my favorite brother. Wilson's disease made him non verbal as he got older, it also ruined the movement in his arms and legs so his arms were always pulled up to his sides while his hands were curled up like claws, he did have movement in his fingers, he couldn't talk since he also lost movement in his mouth so he had to eat out of a tube through his stomach and he was such a joy to be around, even though he was like that he was always able to make us laugh. It was awful growing up watching my role model slowly deteriorated in front of my eyes, by the age 29 he had to be put in the nursery home my mom worked at so she would still be able to watch him

I think they meant that she had already "died" and were moving her casket, but that it had broken during relocation and they saw inside that there were claw marks meaning she was not dead at the time of her burial. The way it was worded was very confusing though, but this is what I think it meant.

We live in the middle of nowhere 20 miles from the nearest town. So we never expect any intruders, but we always lock our doors anyway.
When my older brother was little, he woke up one night and went to the kitchen to get a snack, on his way back he passed by the our laundry room and saw a figure “rise from the dirty laundry pile” and he ran to my oldest brothers room (10 kids total) and asked them if they’d get rid off the laundry monster, they immediatly spring up, and get our parents. Police were called, and the dude was apprehended. Essentially dude broke in through our laundry room window, but Ben walked by just as he was about to advance through the house. I have no idea who he was, or what his intentions were.

One of my worst stories was a news story of a grandmother and her grandson. They were at a thrift store in Minnesota (I work at a thrift store in mn; not the same one, though) and the grandmother was browsing, maybe letting the boy play at the toy section. My store is very small and many parents let their kids roam free. Anyway, suddenly the boy was gone. Obviously, panic started to set in and grandma got employees and others searching everywhere. They even looked outside, in the car, around the block. They found him in one of the fitting rooms. He had been playing and got the collar of his shirt caught on one of the hooks for hanging clothes on. He was strangled to death. This happened a couple years ago, and I still have a hesitance to open the fitting room doors in the morning, worrying that I'll be the next to find a body.

One of my friend's parents lived in an apartment as a young couple. They went out one night and came home with their door lock broken. They went in and nothing was missing or misplaced, so they thought that the intruder was hiding. They looked in little nooks and crannies, bedroom, bathroom, under beds. There was no one so they thought the intruder left. A few days later, the husband was in the apartment alone and getting ready for an event. He went into the closet and saw a young man about his age sleeping in the back of the closet with wrappers around him. The husband locked the door, called the police, and grabbed a kitchen knife. Turns out the guy was intending to rape the wife but the wife was never alone at home.

We were like a second family for him and tried to help in anyway but he stopped going out for a while and would stay at her house. We moved after half a year later and didn't hear from him for about 3 years then we ran into him at a store. He seemed happy and wanted to catch up with my dad and become close to my family again. It's crazy how fast accidents can happen. She was already so frail and easily got hurt so he was with her to help her out but I guess that day he wasn't there so she did his chores for him and got crushed

That one about the persons great aunt being buried alive is HORRENDOUS 😬.
Same with the lady who woken up to a man on top of her..that’s terrifying and sad. I had an experience like that at 7 but it was a friends older brother who was 12 and they sent him away to a psych ward until he was 21. He got out at 21, raped 3 women and they sent him to prison. He’s been in and out of prison for the last few years.
