When Mr. Arnold clapped back at Prior, it became the highlight of the trial. It was about time someone put that man in his place.

It became the moment the state feared. By playing that silly "clap back" game, he may very well have given the defense that opportunity for an appeal. If you folks think the state got some pleasure out of this, you're wrong.
@@southerngal345 Not necessarily. The State was steering clear of any personal connections between Prior and Chad. Yet, it was Prior who pushed the witness and caused the "oops". I think Prior was HOPING for something awful to come of it; however, even during re-direct, Mr. Arnold did not say the pet cemetery is the same area Chad was looking to put a mobile home. So, at this point, all is good in that regard. I hope Prior learned his lesson. Not everyone will take his attitude.

I hate the way Chad’s attorney says “ok” after everything the witnesses say. It’s a condescending “ok”. He goes up and octave. Once you hear it you’ll never be able to not hear it 🫣

Who does Prior think he is wondering if David could afford crap or not?? He wants to get those jabs in and WHY was it relevant?
Defense attorneys have a job to do. They all have their own technique while performing in the court room. I think he is very thorough and knowledgeable about every subject that's put in front of him. He is not there for a popularity contest.
@@Trac82 in almost every cross he misstates or mispronounces or says something showing his lack of understanding about the matter, or due to his lack of attentiveness has to ask questions that have already been explained. I will give him the fact that he is only one person and has essentially no additional assistance to review and prepare for vast amounts of discovery, but he has had four years to do so. While it may not be a popularity contest, his personality may have a negative impact on the jury. They may have reluctance to consider his points valid when he works so hard to insinuate with repulsive, condescending means, that witnesses testimony is invalid.
@@Trac82 But his courtroom antics are not working well with the judge or JURY. TOO MANY objections are OVERRULED and his interruptions LACK FOUNDATION. It is EVIDENT the judge doesn't trust Pryor whereas every time he wants to enter a document into evidence - the judge IMMEMDIATELY asks the AG if they've had a chance to review the document and if they have any objections! Unlike when the AG submits documents into evidence - this is not asked by the judge. These nuances mean a lot to the jury. Further, from the spectators in the gallery - I hear the jury is REPULSED at Pryor's arrogance and ignorance ... and they find him CREEPY when asking witnesses questions, he stares at the jury (and considered to be condescending). Remember, as counsel in a trial, the JURY MATTERS MOST and THEY TAKE EVERYTHING INTO CONSIDERATION! He is NOT representing Chad instead, he is SEALING his death warrant!!!!

People are upset about this but it was pretty mild. No yelling, name calling or swearing even. A slightly spicy comment. Big whip. Funny. But a not mistrial worthy. It would take A LOT more to get anything more than an appeal.

Well, what may have happened was that Chad said that Tammy came down to his office. That could have just meant down the hall. And the cousin had never been to the Daybell home so interpreted it as “coming downstairs “.

Noone wohld think these types exist faking a Jesus buided life. Its the opposite. Alex was pivital in these trials. He did most of the dirty work feeding hs niece to wildlife and dissecting her.. Love how this man corrects Prior. If he owns it ,he knows the size.

Yes I agree he has done a pretty good job for Chad I would say better than most could how do you know how does anybody sleep at night knowing that they are fighting for a person who has done something so irreprehensible Lori Bellows attorneys and she had two I can't help but feel that Pryor is taking all of this personal does anyone else feel that way is it because he bought that property property and in that event should he not be recusing himself due to personal interest in the property because that almost makes him witness material does it not I wish I could tell him what it sounds like to those of us out here that have no agenda and have no no dog in the race we just want the right thing to happen and in my opinion listening to him cross-examine people with this snarky attitude and he does the same snark every time he builds up to it with that nice little Curt laugh that he gets and he thinks some for answering his question and then he goes in for the kill he really has nothing to say that's important he really doesn't have any question that's really going to bring it in home for him but he has the theatrics to make you think he does and the way he Stomps off like he's really done it this time I think he's in for a rude awakening last thing I will interject is I'm probably a day behind here is the way he interjected that when he goes to church oh sweet Lord please Mr Pryor you are under oath are under oath
Y'all can laugh and support this guy's attempt to lash out at Chad, but you don't really understand how he may have given the defense a reason for an appeal if Chad is convicted. The state is, rightfully, concerned that this jerk & his wife came to court that day with an agenda that has backfired. Just look at how they chose to stay in the courtroom and watch after testifying. How many other witnesses have done that? I don't think either one of them were truthful from the moment they sat down. The wife's testimony contradicted his claim about never being in the Daybell house or at last least not beyond the foyer. Go back and watch. Prior was smart to not question the wife.
The state should focus their efforts on getting the inditement right first
I dunno about this Arnold guy. His biases certainly come through in his testimony. No one expects a person to be absolutely neutral, especially in the midst this set of circumstances. But his testimony distracted from the overall object of the examination.
That’s nonsense. If this were in New York or New Jersey Prior would have got attitude much sooner. The culture in Idaho is incredibly tame.
Prior was just checking if his house was worth the work he's putting in for his defence
