The fact that Melanie P asked how they were going to resolve the "problem" of Detective Hermesillo not wanting to stop tells me that she knew that the children were dead at this point. Otherwise she would have just told them to produce the children and the "harassment" by LE would have stopped immediately. She is so full of lies and the fact that she didn't get charged with anything is enraging and beyond comprehension.
I thought Ian had gone to the police & is now recording the Dumbbells as evidence with Melaniece playing along on these calls.
Melaniece didn't know that Ian was recording her.

I believe she was psychologically manipulated by Chad her whole life. We saw that with Heather's and his neighbors testimony. Do we think he didn't try it with Tammi and his own kids? He manipulated and molded her into his belief system. He also groomed his kids their entire life.

Bingo! It means telling the truth to police. Lori references it, and so did JP during cross. It shows they both admit Gibb went to police to tell the truth. Melaneice knows a lot more and lied on the stand, mostly by omission. It's also telling that she thought Gibb never fully drank the kool-aid hence she didn't trust her completely.

My parents are just like this. The life-long trauma and chronic psychosomatic illness I suffer from is pure agony and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I've had no family or support system since 17 years old. I own nothing, I have nothing, I can't work, and I've always had severe suicidal ideation.
This is a deep concern for me, but not as broad as all cults. There's an alarming trend of members of the LDS church who are doing this shit and I think it's a bigger issue than people are realizing. To this day the Mormon church STILL has not released a statement disavowing Chad/Lori's beliefs OR Jodi Hildebrandt and Ruby Franke. It took too long to excommunicate Chad and Lori, and Jodi/Ruby are still members of the church. Jodi is discussing her Patriarchal Blessing on her jail calls and Ruby is receiving visits from her Bishop. I do not know what if any consequences the Thibaudeau's are facing, but thank goodness they were stopped at the Alaska/Canada border because I firmly believe that 16 year old child would have not be found alive. These people are all in different states but appear to have similar delusions of grandeur with a strong emphasis on demons and the end times. I grew up LDS, I lived through the panic hoarding of Y2K, but these cases are unlike anything I've ever heard of before. The fact that it hasn't been immediately addressed by the church is only proving to the world that they are complicit. I want to know just how many more people are going to be deleted in the name of Mormon God before they put a stop to this horrific trend.

I graduated from college, worked in television for many years, my husband is a bank vice president and we like to cycle together. We have three kids and three of the cutest granddaughters you've ever seen. We're friends with people from all backgrounds and religions. We're just your normal, run off the mill people. We love the Savior and we love our neighbors. Are there a few oddballs in the barrel? Of course! Just like in any other church congregation or neighborhood. The detectives were lucky Alex didn’t shoot them when they came back to talk with Lori the second time at her house. He had all those guns and didn’t have any conscience about shooting who ever Lori and Chad told him to.
