    I just got my first Tacoma, a 2021 TRD Pro, after driving a bare bones stock 2000 Ford F150 for the past 13 years!! I even had to use the key to open the door, no key fob!! At least I had power windows!! haha!! To say my mind is blown every time I learn something new about my Tacoma would be an understatement!!! 🤯 This video has been very helpful. It feels like Christmas everyday I get into my truck!!! Will the surprises NEVER end!! I ❤ my Taco!! 😍

    Disable your electronic key fob. Toyota calls this "battery saver mode". Use for your second fob while it sits on the shelf unused. Also useful when at the gas station, sleeping in the car, or sleeping in the truck bed if you have a shell. Press and hold the "lock" button on the fob, then press "unlock" twice. To awaken the fob, press any button.

    For the clip in the center console, I believe it's for your USB cord charger. If you look at it when you go to close the center console right where the clip lines up there is an indent where the top of the console meets the bin and a cable can slip through. At least I have that indent on my 2021 Tacoma and that's what I use it for.

    • @troy3456789
      @troy3456789 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      same here. So many of these channels open up with loud music, then the speaking voice is much quieter than the opening music too. I like just natural sounds during the video that's trying to tell us something. It is different if there is no speaking going on. If there is no speaking going on, then some music is nice, but natural sound should still be present and and heard even if there is music. Too many of these videos have music when I'm certain there is natural sound, and they remove the natural sound. If there is speaking and you still want music, then the music should be at about half the volume level of the speaking voice (as a rule of thumb).

    • @modXELA
      @modXELA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@troy3456789 I totally agree with you Robert! I don't see the point in dubbing over natural sound. I do my best to convey my content clearly and I find background musing distracting. I think viewers want to listen to the message, not to music... there are other channels for that purpose. You are also correct that there are sections in videos that will require some background music but natural sound makes it really authentic! Thanks for tuning in! =)

    • @modXELA
      @modXELA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    By holding the lock button and simultaneously hitting the unlock button once on the key fob you can shut off the touch unlocking and locking of the taco. You can turn it on again by tapping any button on the fob. This can be useful as an anti theft measure or to save battery on the fob.

      I read there are 4. Not sure why, but at least one is under the front passenger seat. Easily stolen and I've read $1500-2K to replace depending on where it's cut. Some skid plates will mostly cover to help prevent theft. Amazon apparently sells specialty theft preventing bolts to mount skid plates. One company was planning to make a specific skid plate for cat protection. So far only for 2nd Gen.

    Went from a 05 Silverado LS V8 5.3L which Expired on April 1st in a Cemetery easement, an the 21 TRD Taco Sport 4x4 was calling my name at the Toyota dealership in the parking lot!
    When someone is behind me an has their turn signals going an don't notice, I will flash mine a few times an repeat an usually they get it, not always!~
    Cup holder at 3:21 is for a coffee cup, so it is not all bouncing around, and the handle can be put through the slot, saw it on another video.
    Not sure if it is a all TRD feature, the remote start, Press Lock 2 times an then hold an it will start, and to get in with it still running, press unlock on the remote, an then start as normal with it running

    When you buy a Toyota Tacoma that little holder in the centre console is for your tailgate key. The reason why that centrepiece comes out of the double cupholder is so you can clean it if your drink spills it will get all sticky this way you can pull that piece out and wash it. I didn’t know about starting the truck without the foot on the break but that’s good if a passenger is sitting on that side and wishes to turn it on they can do so.

    • @modXELA

      @@modXELA mine is a 2021. From what I understand is it’s only available for the first year for free with connected services. After the trial year is over it costs like $80/year or $8/month to have it activated.

      @@Good_Pizza I see, why can't Toyota just keep it on? Just another way to nickel and dime clients. Oh well, it would have been convenient to have. Thanks for the info my friend.!

    And there are 3 set of holes for the head rests to store them in when you lift the rear seats up. Like the push bottom start if you are sitting in the passenger side too

    Did you know you can change the door lock feature to unlock all doors when approaching the driver side door? This also works if you’ve added the tailgate remote lock.
