I own a 13 cummins with a manual transmission and have a 6 inch lift with 37s and average 22 on the highway, and 20 average. I added a tonnoe cover and picked up a half an mpg. Im going from a 20 inch wheel with 37 inch mts and going to a lightweight 17 inch weel with a 37 inch AT. I should see a significant difference. Im dropping around 30 lbs per corner of that unsprung weight.
Riff raff diesel FRx and HPx lines. clean the filters in ur tank or delete it all. HUGE DIFFERENCE
@powerstroke central, driving style makes a big difference on MPGs, in addition to tire size. I’m not saying you don’t already do this but Chilling out, using cruise control, and keeping speeds down to the speed limit makes a 2mpg diff for me.
thanks man I try to do that the best I can
Ive gotten 19.7 with my 7.3 on 35s. Its stock other than 4inch straight pipe. Has factory injectors, tune and all at 207k miles now
I’m getting 15.8 on stock 265/75/16 4x4 crew cab short bed. All I got is a 4 inch MBRP straight pipe, Hydra php tuner, and S&B cold air intake on my 01 XLT. The rear end also makes a huge difference. I got a 3.73 and if I went to 33s or 35s they would be perfect but if you got the 4.10 with 33s or 35s the truck would be a guzzler
thats about what i got stock
If you can’t get above 12 mpg. I’m betting your ebp tube is clogged or sensor is bad.
I have a 02 7.3 dually 4:10 gears on 35s. 5 inch straight pipe, fuel spring, S&B intake, custom tunes, new injectors and HPOP pump (stock), new turbo (stock but billet impeller wheel). I’m getting 15 mpg around town. I’m shocked. I thought it was worse. I get 10-11, depending on how I drive, while pulling my 30 foot travel trailer.
Truck is complete stock besides 4 inch straight pipe-stock intake-No tune on 285/75/16=33s 16city-18 hwy
That’s solid bro
e99 7.3 zf6. 3.73 gears. ts6 chip. on my 35's i get 15-17 depending on how i drive. on my old set of 33's the most i ever got was 19 mpg averaging 60 mph. that was a full tank all on the high way. most ive seen on my 35's is high 17's cruising at 75+ all day long. i could probably do better if i slow down. both my 33's and 35's were milestar patagonia mt
thanks for sharing how you got such good mpg!
Just went to 35x12.50r17 on sat I got the truck on 37x13r17 and I hated it I love my Ironman MT 35x25.50r17 she back in the power band and I town a dump trail
i really wanted to get the 7.3 badge but i’m not sure i want an even bigger target on me especially when traveling i don’t want to get car jacked haha
That’s why I got hella anti theft devices
@@powerstrokecentral yeah i definitely need to get more of that and maybe a couple more guns💀
What was the mpg with the stock tire ?
Did you calibrate the truck odometer computer to the tire size?
no i havent

This can affect the mileage. Not sure by how much…👍

My 7.3 averages 15 on 33 my V10 averages 14 on 33s the wife's 6.7 Cummins averages 21 on 35s with more power than the other two put together. Ram will run 80 pulling 26 k . The 7.3 or V10 both max out around 10 k and run about 67 towing .should have went ram when I bought the excursion and the 450 22 years ago but I learned.have no choice but to wear them out since Ford resale value is so low around here you can't give them away.
This truck needs a fuel pressure spring and up pipes at minimum he's been getting 12.5 mpg for ever lol getting better than that w 1800 lb in the bed
More info on this? Running hydra chip on a stock dually and getting 12.5 mog
There’s no way the dudes getting 18 ! Too bad he didn’t mention what he had done to his truck !
For real man insane
@@powerstrokecentral I’m getting like 11 city and maybe 13 highway. On 37s here in San Antonio
@@4.5_shammer that’s still hella good for 37s
@@powerstrokecentral yeah I want at least 15 and I’ll be happy
@@powerstrokecentral don’t have a sipper tuner on mine I have a DP tuner
37s =6 miles per gallon
yeah not going to 37
Get a ranger🤣 im getting 29mpg
i wish man
So what was the difference in MPG? Or was this just another lame advertisement.
Pretty sure I said it 3 or 4 times 12.5mpg on 35 and and 15-17 mpg on 33
Hey stack your truck
Switch back from bullet antenna to whip antenna and your mileage will get better. At least this comment is equal with the amount of stupid things you just said.
