The Volturi have always interested me. Especially Carlisle's time there, would love to see his pov for the 2 centuries that kept him there. What persuaded him to join to begin with and what was the breaking point in leaving? Whatever it was, it's always fascinated me
It was two decades, not centuries. I recommend getting the Twilight Saga official illustrated guide. It has some very interesting details and more in depth examinations of all the characters and settings. One notable detail I remember was that while Carlisle was staying with the Volturi, Aro was so curious about Carlisle’s lifestyle and his level of restraint that he had a profusely bleeding human body sent to the library where Carlisle was reading, just to see what would happen. Stuff like that really stood out to me, like no wonder Carlisle packed up and moved to the other side of the world.
Carlisle was alone, so he decided to stay near the more "human" vampires he can found: the Volturis. When he understood that Aro & co. didn't hug the "veggie style", he left them and kept to train his self control about blood and his medicine studies
I’m surprised that Stephaine has never written any short stories or books about the other covens in her universe. It seems like there is a wealth of stories here in the universe she created in Twilight.
It feels her universe felt kinda interesting (though I still think the sparkling is stupid. Well not the sparkling itself, but the reaction of everybody to sparkling. Not one person making cynical joke about it?), but she wasted it on "oh, Edward so pretty, so rich, big wub foreva".
That we know of.....maybe she has, just that she it didn't made it public or she just didn't publish it or someone turn it down so she didnt pushed it forward?
Victoria and James were a couple; Laurent was only a "temporary travel mate". Victoria was changed in UK during the Victorian Age by her sister, who was a poor hore before to become an immortal. The girl wanted to protect Viky from men's cruelty. The Volturi destroyed Victoria's sister in order to bring Chelsea, another vampire who was gidted, by them side. Victoria was shocked and went in the USA, when she met James. James was changed by a "coat hunter" (a vampire in disguise) during the Gold Rush Age. Boh Victoria and James were gifted: she can hide her tracks and he was a great hunter; so they loved to play "hide and seek" 😅 A few months earlier Twilight, the couple met Laurent, a nomad who came from New Orleans, and decided to hunt togheter. Late, they met Bella and the Cullens and we knowthe story 😉
If Aro killed his own sister, I am sure he and the other Volturi did other horrible acts that would turn other vampires against him. Edward can see his thoughts and should have been able to release this information to the affected vampires. And each time Aro touches Edward's hand he would be reminded that Edward knows his secrets.
Edward would not dare to do that, Aro certainly threatened him and his family if any of his secrets would ever be exposed. Besides that, Edward can hear thoughts in the present moment, so certainly Aro controls his thoughts when Edward is around.
I often think about this, like what would happen just within the Volturi if Bella shielded key members from Chelsea's skill. I think if Aro, Caius, Chelsea and Jane were culled then the Volturi could, by n large, easily continue to be the ruling coven as their species police/guards.
I still can't get over the fact that Amun married his own slave- that's why you never see his mate talk, she basically lives in Amun's shadow. never his equal. And do NOT get me started on Benjamin; he and his mate are literal Cousins I can't!
Eh. If she’s in his shadow it’s bc she wants to be, female vampires are pretty much just as strong as male vampires so it’s not like he can force her to be there. If she wanted to leave she could relatively easy. Pretty sure that’s how Siobhan became a vampire, a male vampire found her beautiful, kidnapped and turned her and wanted her to be his wife/slave, and then she killed him if I’m not mistaken. now the wives of aro and cauis are actually forced to stay with them.
I thought the same, but was reading an older publication about a vampire coven that had nothing to do with the Twilight stories, so yes, coven was associated with vampires pre Twilight. Who knew.
Vampires have always had covens in vampire stories. I think it’s bc in a lot of vampire stories vampires are very similar to witches and can even cast spells and have magic like witches.

I loved the Twilight books years ago! I’m still fascinated by the Twilight universe. It’s too bad Stephanie doesn’t write more about the other covens or even short novelas going more into the back story of the Cullens. I would love to read those!
Great breakdown. Where does the first Twilight Vampire come from you asked? Well obviously they come from Satan and the Fallen Angels. Vampires and Children of the Moon(Werewolves) and Nephilim(Giants) are Demons the children of Fallen Angels. While Shapeshifters are magical tribal humans who turn into Apex Predator Animals(Big Cats/Bears/Wolves).
Can ya do some videos on "What We Do In The Shadows". It's not a serious vampire story, but the characters are amazing (both from the movie and the series) My favourite is definitely Baron Afanas. When he was introduced, it was sooo fkin epic. The mannerisms, body movement, wacky liability filled behaviours and the looks. He was actually terrifying during his first and second appearance. A sadistic lunatic with old archaic ideas on vampires. Then we have the other morons Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja and that banana Colin Robinson. It's a funny show. Especially season 1 and 2. The movie was great.
@@kyleskendle6452 yeah me too. But I prefer his awaken from a long slumber look. He looks like 'The Unseen Elder' (from The Witcher) or Viktor (from Underworld) With frail skinny human-bat hybrid look. A real ancient vampire should look like that to me. It adds so much to his lore just by looks. I hope they turn him back to that look and have more episodes centred around him. Like how did he became a vampire? How was his life before he became one? Where did he came from? How many more vampires of his era still exist? Did he ever had an era of total dominion (something like the Volturi in Twilight). How old is he? So many unanswered questions about him.

And the fact that he himself has killed more than 100 vampires in such short time probably adds to that problem. [Ive finished season 5 and i was right about him having Van Helsing blood was the reason plus he didn't drink human blood. And when he did, he became a full vampire but then he was too nice to kill. Lol. Funny how his whole wish was just not for him] And depending on Laszlo for help in that matter is just idiotic (but he doesn't have a choice). Laszlo's so called "science" is as good as dancing and sacrificing livestocks for rain in our world, just nonsense. [He didn't even thought of the idea of giving Gizmo human blood....lololol] But that's the comedy. I thought Gizmo would never be a vampire tbh. Because nobody in the house would turn him.
